Note 1529649 - Factory Calendar expires 2010
Hi Experts,
Need a clarifications. Does it affect any work schedule, when we extend the validity of factory calendar.
when Public Holiday Calendar are used in factory calendar does it affect any work schedule .
Please let me know if it affects anything related to HR.
Regards,
M Bharath
We don't use Factory Calendars, only our own Holiday Calendars, but they must be valid in the future if we want to generate the Work Schedules.
Our Holiday Calendars are currently valid until 2020, and our Work Schedules have been generated up to December 2015.
This allows the system to "count" the number of absence days (and quota utiliization) for long-term absences (provided they have an end date smaller than 01.01.2016).

Problem with OSS note 1529649 - Factory calendar expires 2010
Hi Experts,
I found a OSS note that is telling that calendar validity ends in 2010.
For the moment in my system factory calendar for all my sites is valid till 2020.
My question is that doesn't matter what date i have now in the system the validity will finish?
What i should do!!!
Thanks a lot for your help.Dear
If the factory calender and holady calendar which is assinged in FC , both have same validity , then there should not be any problem .
For consistency , you can go down to OP03-Slecet HC-Change Mode -Keep the valaidty along with all the public holday calander validity till 2011 or 2012 .Similarly , do the same in Factory calander .
But re-assing the Calander to Plant once again in OP03 -Plant Assingent tab or re-assing at WC ( CR02-Capacity tab -Standard Avalaable Capacity ) also if you have similar kind of canalder also .
Hope this helps
Regards

PR/PO generate by MRP not calculate factory calendar
hi,
if PR/PO generate by MRP did not consider factory calendar, possible?
pls advice? thanksHi,
Your possible checks should be:
1) Whether material has proper MRP type
2) whether there is enough demand
3) whether the stock available is less than the demand
4) Whether planning parameters are set properly
5) Whether external procurement is setup for material master
6) Whether planning file entry took place
so many but a few listed on possibilities of failure to get PReqs out of MRP run...

PO Receipts not using Factory Calendar - Workaround?
We are in the process of implementing SAP.
We have a gap that can not be unique to our company and I'm looking for advice on how other companies have handled it.
The problem: We have agreements with third party suppliers that they will ship their product in three BUSINESS days and we measure their performance to this standard leadtime. SAP uses calendar days. If we give our supplier a PO on a Thursday, our expectation will be that they ship the product on the following Tuesday, which is three BUSINESS days. Because SAP uses calendar days, the auto generated PO will reflect a Sunday expected ship date. The same problem exists if we give them a PO on a Friday. The system will reflect a Monday expected ship date, when, per our agreement, they would not be expected to ship the product until Wednesday.
How do we get the system to automatically recognize that the weekend (Sat and Sun) should NOT be counted in the leadtime expectation?
Thank You in advance for your assistance.

Lead time from catalog does not consider factory calender
Hi,
we are working with SRM 2.0 classic scenario. I have following problem:
We take over lead time from a supplier catalog via OCI in EBP. This works but the lead time does not consider holidays and weekends. How can I activate the Factory Calender?
Thanks ThomasHello,
I just sniff arround and found out that EBP 3.0 does not support factory calendar.
You should use BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI or BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER and call within this BADI the function modules requesting the factory calendar data via RFC on the backend.
i.e.
get the target system of the follow-on document
SELECT log_sys from BBP_DET_LOGSYS INTO wa_logsys-log_sys
WHERE CATEGORY = ls_item-category.
ENDSELECT.
read table T001WK
CALL FUNCTION 'META_READ_TABLE'
EXPORTING
query_table = 'T001W'
logical_system = wa_logsys-log_sys
TABLES
options = options
fields = fields
data = tabcont

fill the internal table xt001w
LOOP AT tabcont INTO la_tabcont.
MOVE la_tabcont-content+3(4) TO la_xt001w-werks.
MOVE la_tabcont-content+61(2) TO la_xt001w-fabkl.
APPEND la_xt001w TO xt001w.
ENDLOOP.
SORT xt001w BY werks.
get the fabric calendar related to the plant
READ TABLE xt001w INTO ma_XT001W
with KEY werks = ls_item-BE_PLANT.
check if delivery date is a working day
CALL FUNCTION 'DATE_CONVERT_TO_FACTORYDATE'

Factory Calendar Validity Date Expires 2010
Hi All,
In all standard SAP systems Factory Calendars are delivered with a validity date until 2010 at first installation.
This could lead to follow-up errors at the turn of the year.To overcome the issue we need to extend the validity date of Factory Calender across all SAP system.
As per my understanding we can extend the validity of calender manually in OLTP system (i.e. ECC etc) but in BW system we mostly transfer these validity using the "Transfer global settings".
Is there a way to maintain these validity directly in BW instead of importing it from ECC, and is this recommonded to do it directly in BW?
If we do it directly in, BW will this impact sync between OLTP and BW system etc?
Any expert advice is highly appreciated...
Regards
DevYes, the settings can be maintained in BW, in the same IMG position as ECC.
If you have a single ECC system and BW system, I would always 'Transfer Global Settings' in a daily (or weekly - minimum) process chain to insure consistancy between the systems.
If my BW consolidated multiple ECC systems, I would maintian the BW system manually

Date not defined in factory calendar
while creating the process order using the t - code COR1, i got error saying that " Date not defined in factory calendar "
i extended the factory calendar in t - code SCAL.
still i am facing the error.
please helpOk Sudhir.
Then the problem is one of the workcenter you are using in Production Order. The Intervals of available capacity are maintained in a work center capacity whose 'To date' is after the expiration date of the factory calendar. The error does not occur if the date is 12/31/9999.
Go to workcenter - Capacity - Interval & shifts
The 'To date' of an interval of available capacity must be maintained so that it is within the validity period of the factory calendar. The exception is the date 12/31/9999, which is allowed.

System does not propose the delivery date based on factory calendar
Hi,
I am creating a sales order for a delivery date for this sat which is (2/22/09)
I have maintained 2 separate calendars for
1) shipping point
2) for the route
The route has a transit time of 1 day and the calendar has sat and sunday as non working.
the Shipping point has a pick/pack time of 1 day and the calendar has sat and sunday as non working
The material is available in the warehouse
Now when i create this sales order i enter the delivery date as 2/22/09, the system does not propose me the delivery date of monday (i.e 2/23/09) It accepts the 2/22/09 delivery date.
In the schedule line i do see the date as 2/22/09 only.
The delivery was created with the following dates
Picking = 2/17/09
Transportation Planning = 02/18/2009
Loading =02/18/2009
Planned GI= 02/18/2009
Delivery Date = 02/22/2009
How can the system give me the delivery date of a sunday when the calendar doesnt allow sunday as working day.
Also the route time is 1 day in transit so i am not sure why the system is proposing a 3 day transit time?
Can any one explain the behaviour of SAP for the delivery date logicDspsac,
Delivery date can be any date. For instance, if your customer insisted on a Sunday delivery, you would accommodate him, regardless of any calendar.
From the delivery date, the system counts backwards USING THE FACTORY CALENDAR ASSIGNED TO THE ROUTE by the number of days in the route. You have to consult the FC assigned to your Route to determine if the GI date has been properly calculated.
From the GI date, the system counts backward Pick/pack time, using the shipping point calendar, to arrive at Material availability date.
Calculations are explained in SAP online help

SNP Planned order not following resource bucket capacity/factory calendar
Hi gurus,
SCM 5.0
I am running SNP heuristics for a product and expecting planned orders for it. It has corresponding production data structure and multimixed resource. The resource has an assignd factory calendar and SNP bucket capacity. The bucket capactiy availablity dates of the resouce is consistent with the factory calendar workdays/holidays. Using simple lot for lot strategy, I am expecting heuristics to schedule the planned orders on the dates of the demand in compliance with teh SNP bucket capacity availability of the resource. APO does not schedule on holidays consistent with bucket capactiy. This is true until...
We have a public holiday in factory calendar that needs to become a workday. To remedy this, we put a special rule for the factory calendar and explicitly made that holiday into a workday. The changes were synchronized with APO, and this is also reflected in the bucket capacity of the resourc: former holiday now has bucket capacity after the calendar change. However, when running heuristics, it still does not create SNP planned order on that former holiday that has been changed into workday. Even if it is a public holiday, there is already a special rule for the factory calendar and the resource bucket capacity reflects this correctly. But SNP heuristics seems not to follow this change.
Any ideas on this? looks like a bug.Hi Edgar,
Yes, when your resource reflects the addional capacity of the holiday turned working day, then it is expected to be considered for the SNP planned order.
Instead of SNP heuristics, you may try to check interactively in SNP planning book, if manual order creation in the bucket works out.
Since this is a mutlimix resource , it can also be checked if in PPDS planned order can be created on the day.
The above checking may not solve your problem , but will get to know if at least manully the bucket is being considered or not.

Changes to Factory Calendar Not reflected in work schedule
I have updated the exsisting factory calendar in PRD .
Yet the changes do not seem to have taken effect. I have tried to regernerate the work schedule. However I'am not sure I have done that properly.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank youHi.. you cant expect any change in the Factory calender affecting work schedules. If you want the work schedules to be updated with the holidays you need to be updating the holiday calender.
Factory calender is mainly for Plant Schedules, Bank transfers in finance , etc -
Error: Factory Calendar Not In Buffer
Hi all.
I am rtrying transaction CO15 to confirm order, but it giving error RU017: Factory calendar not in buffer. Contact system administrator.
I have checked all assignment, it is correct. factory calendar correctly assigned to plant. Can anyone help me...
Thanks.Hi Puru,
Check the release date of the production order and the date on which you are trying to confirm, see that there is a valid factory calender available for that day (Plant assignment or the factory calender assigned to the Workcenter of the operation you are trying to confirm)
Hope this helps...Reward your points if so,

Scheduling does not take the factory calendar for counting the workdays
I am scheduling my jobs in CPS 8 and I have imported my Factory calenders also. When using Factory calendars for scheduling the jobs for the 6th working day of every month, Its does not count the Saturday as a working day, where as the calendar I am using has Working day on Saturday.
Why is it so? And is there a way to solve this ?
Please suggest. Any help is appreciated.Hi All,
I have used this same logic for scheduling jobs scheduling for the nth work days of every month.
But I have a job, where it is required to be scheduled on the 5th workday of a month and it is submitted once in every 6 months.
When I schedule it for every month, it works fine. But when I use a submit frame to submit it for once in every 6 months, it does not work.
Can anyone suggest how to do it ? I used a embedded window to check it also, which didn't work.

Trying to send a meeting request in Outlook 2013 Error: "The meeting is not int he calender folder for this account. responses to this meeting will not be Tallied.
Please let me know what should I do?
I have set the account as default what should be my next step?Hi,
Please try the following points to narrow down the issue:
1. Please check whether the default Calendar folder is checked when you created the meeting request and sent it out.
2. Please check whether there is any shared calendar opened in your Outlook and the meeting request is created on behalf of the shared calendar instead of your own calendar.
3. Create a new Outlook profile and create a test meeting request to have a try.
