You'll need to use transaction: SNOTE.
GOTO -> Download SAP Note
Once it's downloaded, you can double click on it to read it and then click the execute button to implement it.
Of course, it might be slightly depending on what version of SNOTE you have and where you're trying to apply it. But that's the basics.

our client is having leave type which is valid from 1st April 2010 to 31st March 2010 and deduction interval also from 1st April to 31st march 2010.
now employees are not able to apply for the leave of April month of 2011 where do i have to change in configuration.
I did change in counting rule apply to abs type but still getting error no absence quota available.

As per your requiment, you don't have quota carry forward to next year i.e., 2011 April.
You should run/ generate the leave quotas for the employees by using RPTQTA00 or PT60.. for the year of April 2011 to March 2012. Whichever you are using for ur business requirement. After generating leave quotas to ee's , automatically leave quotas will be update in 2006 for this year. then employee can avail the leave in the month of April 2011.

Trying to sync my iPod Nano (8Gb) When I toggle the "iPod sync" tab I do not get the "apply" button. Why?

Trying to sync my iPod nano (6Gb) for the first time to my laptop (Windows 7). When I toggle the "iPod sync" button I do not get the "apply" button to start the sync. Why?

I have a 27" iMac with the latest version of iTunes. I tried restoring my iPod and even removing and re-installing iTunes. What eventually worked for me was plugging into my PC and restoring/reformatting it to work with my PC. I don't know why it wouldn't work with my iMac, but now it seems to be working.

As long as the total amount for header cond type remains unchanged and it also gets posted to the right accounts, what is the issue in having the condition type shown in new items.
It is not going to affect the pricing of new items as other revenues / discounts / taxes get posted correctly; net value at item level may change due to this header cond type but this is also fine as the total amount for that condition type is still constant.

In my systems(R/3 and CRM) there are lots of ABAP dumps (used ST22). How do I finout what notes to be applied from those dumps? I am new to reading ABAP dumps. Please help to find out what notes to be applied,

To search for a note you need to find out the keywords which is shown in shortdump->How to correct the error section.
Then search the notes in service.sap.com site to list the notes available.
One important thing is for you to know your system version and on which support package you are in. Then you need to identify relevant note.
You will also have detials in note as to which systems it is applicable.
You can use SNOTE Tcode to apply for notes, can also be applied manually which is not recommended.

Video filters not working when applied to sequence clips

I have looked through the forums and haven't found the solution to my problem. I am having problems with video filters on clips in the timeline. I have footage that needs color correction. In the viewer I created a 3 way filter for one clip, saved it, and applied to all clips in the browser. They all open corrected in the viewer. (I did this because i was reviewing the clips with my client).
When I put the clip in the timeline it does not indicate it needs a render, the filter does not appear on the clip, but when I double click and open the sequence clip in the viewer the color correction tab is there. I've removed attributes and tried again several times, both using the menu with the clip selected, and by doulbleclicking the clip into the viewer and apply the filter there. The tab is always there but the filter does not appear on the clip. It only appears when the process is done to clips from the browser inthe viewer. I've checked the RT for unlimted, I've done a render all video, I've checked settings under the render tab and filters is checked. I've gone into another project and have the same problem in a different project with different clips. I had a recent project where I used a blur effect and it worked fine. My video is DV and my sequence settings are DV NTSC.
I've run out of my ideas and comments from ither threads. What is my next troubleshoot? Should I delete preferecnes? I haven't done that with FCP, can I do it myself or use Rescue? Could that create other problems for me? Any other ideas?
I work in Afghanistan and have no resources here for any Mac support besides books and forums.

Not sure what the issue is with your application of the 3-Way Color Corrector in the Browser. My guess, is that perhaps you only thought you applied the "saved" instance of the 3-way corrector but instead applied a default neutral instance of the corrector. How did you save the correction you applied to the other instances? A good method is, having applied and tweaked it as needed to a sample clip instance, you can drag a copy of it out of the clip's Filter tab and drop it directly into your Browser window. To check, then double click that Browser instance of the corrector to open it in the Viewer window and see if has the corrections settings as expected and no the default ones. If so, go ahead and drag it to another clip instance in the Browser and then drag that clip to your sequence ... has the correction "stuck" bow? But while we figure it out, for now, why not just apply the saved correction directly to the clips in the sequence? Regarding trashing your preferences ... download Preference Manager from Digital Rebellion. Very straightforward to use.

AR Down Payments - Not yet Fully applied

I am a SAP user (purchasing manager) of 2 companies, one in USA and one Colombia. in Both we run SAP Business One. I like the software and that is why I take time asking employees their user experience to pass it on to SAP developers.
We receive down payments from customers, but we have encounter problems some times that even our SAP partners have not figured out a way of solving appropiately.
Situation:
We receive a down payment of 1,000 and right click on a sales order to add it as down payment. Then our customer changes his mind and he needs less items. So we just invoice 700, so those 300 ends up being in a limbo. We have not have an appropiate solution to refund those 300 to the customer.
If there is a solution, please let me know. But we have passed many hours trying to find it without any success. Our workaround is either wait until the customer orders again an apply that balance to the new invoice, or cancel the adv pmt in the incoming payment window and adjust payment again, but some times this is impossible on our accounting.

as Suda says above, it is a system definition that all documents that may be paid with an inconming payment are available for selection in that window.
Since your sole requirement is to print a document from the DPR, have you considered saving it as a draft document & then print it? That way you could make all necessary changes & reprint, yet the document would not appear in the incoming payments window.
You can remove the 'Draft' watermark in the print preferences.

If this is a new site and a newly created template, you DON'T need to 'apply' the template.
The best way to create new child pages is to :
FILE>New>Page from Template
There will be a list of any templates you've created, select the correct one and press create. Child page created :-)
Save as newpagename.html (not inside the Template folder though !)
PS; as others have pointed out, the link to the background image is incorrect it's pointing to your harddrive. Is the file within the defined site working folder?

Lockbox - not all payment applied

We have a unique situation here. When we upload our lockbox file, customer has two open items, one item was applied because the reference number matched, and the other payment was not applied because the reference number does not match. But instead of flagging the item as red to be further researched, the system displayed a green light indicated the two items are cleared and ok.
Any idea where the problem lies?

Data at all level do not match after applying security

We are implementing the security and observed following.
1. Data is loaded in the cube correctly and report shows up the data correct at all level.
2. Now we apply the security which which will restricts the users to see some members according to the role they are mapped to.
3. When we create a report we are seeing the values at second and all below level to be correct but the value at all level still shows same as got in step 1.This means that the value is not dynamically aggregated while creating the report.
Also we checked that the values are not precomputed at all level for any dimension.
Any pointers to resolve this?

John, A sureshot way to simulate the relational aggregation for various users (who have vpd) applied on the fact information is to create the AW for each user. That way the scoping of dimension hierarchies and/or facts occur on the relational source views and each user only sees the summation of the visible values in the AW. You can use (local) views in each user's schema on the appropriate AW and make the application access seamless across all the user schemas. Such a solution may be a bit redundant (leaf data present in multiple AWs increasing load time) but should work in all environments since it does not involve any tweaking of internal objects via custom olap dml.

Regd implementing the approach to have a single AW servicing multiple users but also allow for individual users to see only their data (for both base and summary data).. This can be done in 10gR2. We have used this approach with a 10gR2 AW based on suggestions from people who were in the know :)
Please note the disclaimers/caveats..
* Works for 10gR2 with no foreseeable way to port this onto 11g when olap dml object manipulation is prevented by the lock definition (lockdfn) keyword.
* Custom code needs to be run at startup.. Preferably in PERMIT_READ program alone since this way any changes made by any of the restricted user(s) do not get saved/commited. This is the manner that sql query on AWM using vpd (say) would work.
* OLAP DML Code is very dependent on the nature of the cube structure and stored level setting.
* This approach provides for a neat and nifty solution in the context of a PoC/demo but the solution performs a (possibly exhaustive) cleanup of stored information during the startup program for each user session. And since this happens in the context of a read only session, this would happen every time for all user sessions. So be sure to scope out the extent of cleanup required at startup if you want to make this a comprehensive solution.

Each cell in status (including cells which were combinations without data and did not physically exist in any composite) get created as na. No harm done but more work than required. The composite object may get bloated as a result.
Scenario IV: If Cube is compressed and partitioned..
Find all partitions of the cube
For each partition
Find the <composite object corr to the partiton> for cube
set cube1_meas1_stored = na across <composite object corr to the partiton>

The cube in our aw was uncompressed/partitioned (Scenario I).
It is more complicated if you have multiple stored levels along a dimension (possible for uncompressed cubes) where you apply security at an intermediate level. Ideally, you'll need to reset the values at load/leaf level, overwrite or recalculate the values for members at all higher stored levels based on this change, and then exit the program.

Sun Update Manager not working after applying latest patches

I just applied the latest patches using the Sun Update Manager GUI but now it doesn't work. After logging in to the GUI as root I get a message telling me an unknown error occurred and I see the following on my terminal:

I just installed the latest 9 recommended patch cluster and I am getting the same problem. Although I am not even able to login as root. I enter the login name root and then it blinks and comes back to the login screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Report painter report does not exist after applying support pack

Hi,
I have created report with the help of report painter for FI.
Also created transaction code for the same.
After applying the support pack, while testing I got the error that
program in the transaction code does not exists.
How to search that program and where or I need to create the same program again?

The reason could be having (1) invalid characteristics value or (2) have not properly defined the General Data Section, most likely (1) in this case.
Either way, go to t-code GRR2 to change the report.
In the report row or column, is there an Element (the labels in red color) that does not make sense?
It could still have the correct label names, but double-click and go into "Record Types (from your error message)". Be sure to have the correctly define values attached to each Characteristics.
If all above seems okay, try (From top bar, select) Edit --> General Data Section. Think of this section as the "header data" of the report.

Bridge not saving toning/applying post production - like 20K images to tone!!

Hi - Am desperate - have 10 weddings to do post production on and my bridge is acting up.
I am having a bridge isssue - when I apply the toning/cropping/color correction to images and press done it is not saving the work. In addition when I do the work in bridge and then choose save as it just save them as untoned JPGSs. It does not apply the raw conversion or xmp data.
In addition it is only happening in half the images in the folders not all of them. And it's not camera specific it's random.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bridge is only a file browser without editing capacities (except the export panel but that has been discontinued in Bridge CC) and reflects the content of your folders. If you make changes in ACR using either selecting via PS or via Bridge any changes should be visible wether you have hit done or save in ACR.
If you have other results, especially random difference it looks like a cache problem to me. So point the Content panel to a problem folder and use menu tools / cache / purge cache for folder and check if this solves your problem.

MAM Not Working After Applying Support Package

We have been lived with MAM 2.5 with SP16 for almost a year now. We recently applied support package 19 for ABAP and J2EE stacks but MAM stopped working right after that. To fix the problem we had to do the following steps:
1. Disable all SyncBO
2. Regenate all SyncBO
3. Run Replicate Database
4. Enable all SyncBO
5. Delete MAM 2.5 client by WebConsole for all PDA (over 100 devices)
6. Re-Assign MAM 2.5 client back to PDA from WebConsole
My question is do we have to perform those steps above every time we are applying new support package? If it is a case, it's very time consuming because we have to manually perform step 5-6 for every users.
Does anyone have seen or experience this scenario before? Your comment is highly appreciated.

Let me clarify on "Not working"
It showned synchrozation successuffly but no data transfer between client and middleware and vs. For instance, the user never receive any new work orders, or their times never got transfered back to R/3. Even though, there is no error on the client.
It appear that step 1-4 are required otherwise, you get ABAP Runtime error (using ST22):
Runtime Error          CALL_FUNCTION_NOT_FOUND
Except.                CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_FUNC
Date and Time          02/07/2007 08:12:27
After we performed step 1-4 but there were data transfer between client and R/3. The only way to get it working, we had to delete client and re-assign MAM 2.5 back to each users.
No, we didn't apply client patch SP19. We are still using SP16.
As we speak, everything is working because we had to re-assign MAM 2.5 for every users. but I hope we don't have to do this next time we apply another Support Package.
