Notebook connecting to TV

I bought a display port (male) to HDMI (male) cable to connect my Elitebook 2560p to Samsung TV.
Tv screen says "No Signal" please check cable connections, but everything is connected well.
Still does not work after choosing 2nd screen and/or Fn f4. Everything else is running well on Win 8.1
(originally on Win 7)
Please advise

Hello blauw,
I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/ .
I hope this helps!

  • WRT54G (v7) reboots when notebook connects

    Hey folks!
I really have a weired issue here...
My WRT54G (Version 7) was running just perfect for a couple of years already... I've bough a new Netbook recently and when this netbook connects to the router it takes about 10 seconds and the WRT54G reboots itself again and again.
You know, I really see a lot of PC problems, but this one just odd
Just like I said it was running perfect for years.
    I have two notebooks here:
    - My old one (ASUS X-52SA, running Win7 Ultimate)
    - and the new netbook: A Lenovo S10-3t, running Win7 Home premium.
When I'm working with the ASUS, everthing's fine. I've sent a "ping 192.268.1.1 -t" from it to the router and the WRT is responding well.
As soon as I connect the Lenovo to the WRT (not matter if I'm doing this via WiFi or LAN-cable!!!) the ping will show about 3 timeouts on the ASUS. The ping is OK then for another 7 seconds before it goes dead again. This goes on and on...
On the Router itself I can see that it's really rebooting then.
    - When the ping times out, the router really is rebooting (all LEDs are off, shorty after it all of 'em will flash for a short time).
    - And it's rebooting and rebooting and rebooting...
I really haven't seen this before in my whole career...
I though I would just update the Firmware and everything's will be fine - until I found out that the v7 cannot be upgraded somehow...
Does anyone of you guys have an idea what the reboot could cause?
(I'm sorry for my grammar - English is not my native language )
    Best regards,
    Michel

Check if you have static ip assigned on Lenovo computer.
If yes, then set it on “Obtain an IP automatically” to do so follow this link .
If it is already on “Obtain an IP automatically” then try to upgrade/re-flash the firmware of the router.
To do that first download the firmware from here and then follow the below mentioned steps
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on a computer hard wired to the router...
In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1...Leave the Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful"  After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
Now login to the setup page of the router and check the firmware version of the router it should be updated.

  • SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook connections to speake

Was wondering if anyone out there could tell me something? i have the creative S750 Gigaworks 7. surround sound speakers. i have just purchased the X-Fi Xtreme audio notebook card with the surround sound connection piece. on my sub there are four ports: Green, orange, white and black. Now on the other end of that very same cable there are only three, the typical Black, Green and Orange that i have used on my desktop for my 7. surround sound needs. My question is, where do i get this cable with both ends having all four colors to connect into my external speakers dock? if anyone can help me on this I would be greatly appreciati've. Thanks.........

There is a very good reason why it tells you your card isn't supported, that's because it isn't,?This download?is an?application for Creative Sound Blaster? X-Fi? series of audio devices. It restores 3D audio and EAX? effects for certain DirectSound?3D games in Microsoft? Windows Vista?. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.
This download supports the following audio devices only:
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro<
    Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi?XtremeGamer Fatalty?Pro<
    Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatalty<
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum Fatalty Champion Series<
    Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum<
    Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer<
    Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic<
?Alchemy was written to translate DirectSound3D software calls to OpenAL hardware calls, and unfortunately the Xtreme Audio doesn't have the hardware, the EMU20K2?(all that card basically is is a renamed SB Li've 24 bit/Audigy SE, neither of which have the hardware either).

  • Using windows 7 on my G61-632NR Notebook connected to Sanyo TV

The HDMI is showing as not plugged in. Video works fine but no sound from TV. I've tried uninstalling and installing and about everything else suggested in the forums.

Well, shucks, i just spent almost 30 minutes trying to find your model user guide to explain it better, I guess they never got around to making it.....
I would just borrow another Windows disk and try installing it again and if it does it again then you might take it to an Apple Store and see if one of the "Genius' " can figure it out.
Make sure your internet is enabled and click on your blank desktop and at the top of your screen is a Help menu option, enter PRAM and it should give you a list of things relating to Pram. It may take a few seconds to list anything as it has to connect to Apples severs first. It should list the things you may have to fill back in when your done.
"P-ram" stores some common information that is used in the background, your date, time, startup disk, etc, that you don't have to re-fill when you restart, it's a little different for each computer.

  • HP G61-410SA Notebook connection error 651

Suddenly I could not connect to the internet.  Network Saring Center shows it connected but I can't get anything up. On checking connections I am getting error 651. Even plugging broadband cable in does not fix it.
I seem to have lost one of my drivers.
I used another computer to download all network related drivers from HP and transfered them over via a USB memory stick. I loaded the drivers but to no avail.
    Help - - - what am I missing.
    Jim

    @Jim4cad ,
Thank you for posting on the HP support forums.  First thing you will want to try is when removing and installing drivers, is to do this from Windows Safe Mode.
This way you have no issues with other background processes messing up the removal of your driver.
HP PCs - Windows 8 Safe Mode
You will want to boot into safemode without networking.
Once there, uninstall the wireless drivers.
Now boot back into windows normally and install the wireless driver.
If you are having the same issue then you will want to back up all your data and do a system recovery back to the original configuration.
HP PCs - Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 8)
Let me know how things go.
Thank you again for posting and have a great day.
Please click the "Thumbs Up" on the bottom right of this post to say thank you if you appreciate the support I provide!
Also be sure to mark my post as “Accept as Solution" if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others who face the same challenge find the same solution.

  • Some Notebook can't connect AP

    Hi all
I have install the AP 1131AG and set security WPA-PSK, I found problem that some notebook connect to AP for 3-4 minutes, and then disconnect, reconnect, disconnect.
    Please recommend me.
    Thank you.

I was also having the same issue and it almost always boiled down to outdated drivers, however being that my environment consists of mostly Press connecting to our wireless we are not allowed to touch their laptops. And the knee-jerk response by every reporter was, "It works everywhere else I go just not here." Well come to find out that in most arenas there is no wireless authentication and there was no encryption which made it easier for clients with outdated drivers to connect, so as a workaround I created a hidden ssid with no encryption and no authentication, and when these problems arose I would just have the client create a profile so they could connect to the hidden profile.
Not sure if this is best practice but it has worked for me.

  • Need help on how to secure my wireless connection.....

im new to the wireless thing and im trying to figure all this stuff out. i bought the wireless g 2.4 broadband router  because i have a wireless notebook and everthing has been going fine until recently. i have excellent connection but my speed keeps going up and down but it use to stay on 54 Mbps or 48 Mbps (my notebook connection) can tell me whats wrong on that part? Another issue is how do i manually go about securing my connection because i feel like anybody can use my connection  and that my desktop computer that houses the connection is vulnerable. All these problems started ever since a suspicious vehicle was stopping around my house. please help

Hi…First of all hardwire your computer with your router and then Login in router setup page through your internet explorer by typing in 192.168.1.1 in Internet Explorer > address bar > skip username and enter ‘admin’ as password > click ok. You will get router setup page in front of you, click Wireless Tab > click 2nd Sub Tab under Wireless as ‘Wireless Security’, enable wireless security, select WEP and security mode, wireless encryption level as 64 Bit 10 hex digits, and type in 10 digit number without any spaces, symbols and alphabets in WEP Key 1 box. And that’s your wireless network key or password. Do not change any other settings on that page and click save settings and then exit the page. As a result your wireless network is secured. Use that 10 digit number when your wireless computer will demand it while connecting to your wireless network.

  • How do I connect my imac 10.5.8 to a tv?

I have the the cable that has the mini display portion connected to my imac.  And the hdmi portion connected to the tv.  I then went to display settings but there was no option to mirror displays.  The prompt said that "The Arrangement tab of Displays preferences is hidden because you only have a single display attached to this computer."

    Hello there, dlg79.
The following Knowledge Base article provides some great steps for troubleshooting issues with the use of external displays:
Apple computers: Troubleshooting issues with video on internal or external displays
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1573
    Check connections
When using an external display be sure to check the following:
If you're using an Apple notebook, confirm the AC power cable or adapter is securely connected to the computer and the cable providing power to the display is also secure. It is always good to have your notebook connected to AC power when an external display is in use.
Confirm display adapters are fully seated in their respective connections and that they are supported models and for the computer and display. Refer to these articles to assist you with adapter compatibility and further configuration information:

Thunderbolt ports and displays: Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Remove all display cable extenders, KVM switches, or other like devices and retest to determine if the issue is resolved.
Try unplugging the video adapter or cable and then plug it back in.
If more than one video adapter is in use (or "daisy-chained"), troubleshoot by using only one adapter.
Example: A mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter connected to a DVI to HDMI adapter is an unsupported configuration because there is a series of adapters in use.
If available, try using a different display and or adapter (or use a different connector by using DVI instead of VGA, for instance).
    Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.Reset the resolutionStart by resetting the Mac's parameter RAM. If the display does not come up, was previously set to an unsupported resolution, and still results in no video:
    Start up in Safe Mode.
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
Choose Displays from the View menu to open the preferences pane.
Select any resolution and refresh rate that your display supports.
    Restart your computer.

  • Unable to connect via wireless, printer is online.

I am using a Photosmart plus 209a via wireless.  There are 3 notebooks connected. 2 will print but my Dell Studio (Win 7 Pro) will not. It was previously connected but now unable to connect.  I have uninstalled all components using level 3 twice. Have used the Print/Scan tool.  Downloaded the full SW package and the Basic driver SW. I process a job and it gets to the spooler and then "print job failed".  I can view the control panel via IP address. I can view network settings and print wireless test page through HP Solution Center.  Why am I unable to connect?  I was able to use via USB but this is not an option.

It sounds like there is something different on the Dell Studio since it works from two other computers on the same network as the Dell Studio.  It also sounds like you are able to access the EWS of the printer by using its IP address.
Are there any other errors messages regarding the printer?  If so, what are they?
Is there a third party firewall installed (e.g. Norton, Kasperksy, BitDefender, etc.)?
Is this Windows 7 Professional 32bit or 64bit?
