  • Notebook crashed how to save library

    Hi everybody,
my notebook crashed recently and it seems that it is not repairable. My library or my songs, which were on my laptop are not accessable anymore. I am going to install windows again and therefore iTunes as well. Is it possible to import the songs, which are currently on my iPod nano to the new installation of iTunes?
    Thanks for any help!

    Yes, it is possible:
    1.)show hidden files and folders
2.)enable disk use on the iPod
3.)go to the iPod in windows explorer
    4.)go to iPod control
5.)copy all of the music files on to your computer.
Don't worry about the file names, iTunes, WMP, and anything else you play music in should read the tags and have the correct info.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 notebook crashed, and won't run properly anymore

A couple of days ago, my notebook froze, whilst I was listening to music, and everything switched to "Not Responding". The first two or three times it started to work again. But one time it just kept saying that, so I had to force shut down it. I run Windows 8 on it. When I restarted it, it went to the Windows 8 screen whilst loading, then a black screen. It remained on that screen for a while, so I force shut down the notebook again. When I restarted it, the notebooks automatically went into System Recovery, and attempted to fix system errors. It went to another black screen, and in some impatience, I force shut down the notebook again. I assume this may have resulted in the corruption of some system files. I restarted it again, but this time left it running overnight, again the notebook was trying to do a System Recovery. The next morning I came back to the notebook, and it was on the login screen. It took a very long time attempting to login, and I was in a rush to leave that morning, so force shut it down again. It worked, but very very slowly. It would take ages to even open My Documents. One problem that occurred sometimes was that when I restarted, it would say "boot device not found", and then a couple more force shut downs and start ups later it would find the hard drive. But it still ran really slowly. I realized that it wasn't just going to work like this, so attempted to copy all of my file onto an external hard drive. I left that running overnight, and when I came back in the morning, the notebook was again on the "boot device not found" screen. After that, it refused to do anything but show that same screen, so my cousin, who works in IT, booted Windows 7 onto it from a USB. He tried to work with getting the notebook running, and spent a whole day on it, it ran so slowly, but found that the system files had been corrupted. And there was no access to my hard drive because both the system files and my personal files were on one C: drive, rather than partitions. He spent the afternoon trying to use a file recovery software, and said it managed to get about 90% done, and the approximate file count he stated sounded similar to how many it stated it had found to copy, when I attempted to copy all of my files. So, I'm assuming it's possible to recover my files, though right now I have no access to them. I have no problem with restoring it to it's factory default settings, installing a new operating system, etc, but I really really need my files. I have spent way too much time collectively creating a massive database of various files, in two or so years of use, and it's very unsettling that I may have just lost everything. So, what the hell happened? And how do I fix it? Will I need to send my laptop to HP, because I have no problem in that either, it's of no use to me right now, anyways?

    Hello Aeonica,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I understand the computer is unable to detect a boot device and run properly. I will do my best to assist you.
To troubleshoot the issue, HP released a document on this hardware error. If you try these steps, you may be able to resolve the boot device error: Resolve Boot Device not Found Error Message
I believe these steps will resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the computer should be serviced if the issue is not resolved. To do this, please contact HP phone support. You can utilize this website to learn how to contact HP appropriately, based on your region: Contact HP Worldwide
Please let me know how it goes. Thanks!

  • Radeon HD 2600 issue - Satellite A210 notebook crashes ati2dvag

    Anyone? Please help! :)
    [LINK|http://img253.imageshack.us/my.php?image=slika019gl9.jpg]

You can try omega drivers, they will work. But they won't fix the problem.
I have a satellite A210-16g with same graphic card and same problems, and it's starting to be frustrating. Ive searched for the solution, but it seems there isn't any, and Toshiba is keeping it quiet....lots of people have the same problem when they downgraded form vista to xp....
In my case 2 things happen:
Laptop freezes and sometimes there is BSOD (ati2dvag caused an inifitne loop problem etc.) mostly it just freezes and only thing to do is to turn off laptop, and again turn it on.
or picture goes weird like this:

Pictures are taken with camera because in screenshots after restart, nothing is shown...everything is normal
And this happened 1day after new install of windows xp, now week after installation laptop started to freeze, twice today...
If any1 has a solution to this problem please post it...

I'm having the same problems. I did update the driverrs for the HD Graphics and it now powers off when I shut it down. It still will not come out of sleep mode though and I can not disable the touchpad when using a mouse. Everything was running fine until it updated to Windows 10.

  • My notebook crashes

In the past 5 days I have had to format and re-install a fresh OS on my HD 5 times. After 30-45 mins of perfect use each time the laptop simply crashes and I'm getting an error which reflects software or hardware failure. All indications I am getting from people is that the hard disk has failed. Can anyone think of why this happened only once I formatted it????? This is what has me stumped!!!It was working perfectly before. I need to be sure it's a prob with the HD before going out and buying a new one. Thanks

    Hi sandro

  • My notebook crashed before completing factory recovery

Done factory reset off recovery discs but when it was supposed to restart and reload from files screen went blue with fatal system error now it says recovery incomplete and does not recognise recovery disc 1. Help

    Hello SandyAdams1966,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
It appears that during a system recovery the computer crashed and that now you cannot continue with the process. I will try to help you with this.
As you didn't mention the operating system I will provide you two documents.
Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 7)
Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 8)
The step that you want to try is "recovery from the startup screen(during system boot)", this may allow you to do the system recovery without the disk's.
Please let me know how it goes. Thank you for posting on HP forums.

  • I can no longer open Smart Notebook on my MacBook OSX 10.4. It just bounces in the dock then disappears

The operating system is OSX 10.4.11
Notebook 10 was running fine except for the flash activities would no longer work.  I upgraded to Notebook 10.7 from the website to try and fix this.  The new Notebook version nor the uninstaller would launch.  They bounce in the dock for a second or two and then disappear again.  I drug and dropped all Smart files into the trash since the uninstaller didn't work and reinstalled Notebook 10 from a disk I have.  Now it also bounces in the dock for a second or two when I try to launch it then it disappears.  I also tried to repair permissions but this didn't help.
I checked the console log and got this information:
    Sep 27 09:06:50 Mrs-Cocheys-Computer crashdump[234]: Notebook crashed

I check the Notebook.crash.log that it was referencing and got this:

  • Re: Satellite A300-1L0 (PSAGCE) crashes

    Hey all!
recently my A300 started to crash randomly. First, the original WinVista crashed, so I installed a clean version of Win7 with recent drivers. Now the notebook crashes 1-2 min after booting or reactivation from standby-mode. But this only happens when the notebook is still cold, i.e. when the notebook was turned off for a longer period of time.
    Now, what I did:
    - re-installed Win7 64bit SP1 with recent drivers on a new harddrive
    - Win7 Memcheck: No problems found
    - Memtest86+: No problems found
Nevertheless, the problem persists. The Win7 event logger isn't much of a help. It only lists the error that the system has been shut down unexpectedly but provides no specific error code.
Any ideas how to solve that problem? Thanks a lot in advance!
    Max

Thanks for your quick reply. I did run a clean Win7 SP1 (naked).
    What I already tried:
    1. just the drivers provided by Win7 Ultimate (Win7 recognized most of the hardware and had drivers for it, except for the Ricoh Card Reader).
    2. recent drivers from the Toshiba Support Site.
    3. Updated drivers from the respective manufacturer's site (Intel, Realtek, ATI)
    None of these configurations worked.
I'll try installing the original Vista from the recovery-DVD. Maybe this will provide another hint..
Any other ideas? Do A300-Notebooks have some "general hardware issues" like these crashes on startup if cold?
    Thanks a lot!

  • My computer crashed and I dont know why.

Im not sure how to explain this. When i play games such as minecraft and league of legends during random times my laptop will crash. Im  not sure why and how to fix it. What seems to happen is my screen turns blank but for some reason the button lights stay on. However, they are nonfunctional. I am not sure what to attach. This has been happening after i installed windows 8 and i checked and i have all of my drivers installed. I am displeased with windows beacuse there is no error message and there is no user friendly help. All of the solutions are very difficult for me to understand or outdated. PLEASE HELP

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
I have read your post on how your notebook crashes when you play Minecraft and League of Legends. Are there any other games that cause this to happen on your computer? Does this issue happen when you boot your computer in Safe Mode? I would be happy to help you, but first I would encourage you to post your product number for your computer. Below is a is an HP Support document that will demonstrate how to find your computer's product number. In addition, it will also help if you indicate whether your operating system is 32 or 64 bit. The more information you can provide, the better!
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?
Please re-post with the necessary information, this way I will be able to research this further for you. I look forward to your reply!

  • Ideapad S10-3s crashes during start-up

I need help, the other day my notebook crashed when I tried to turn it on. The blue screen appeared and it said "Page fault in nonpaged area" and then it started to dump physical memory. A few days before the incident I also had a hard time turning it on, it would always hang up after loading win 7 but then it would pull through and it works perfectly fine. Then the night before I remembered it was installing an update and then the next day it won't turn on anymore.
I can still use the internet through quick start, but the one recovery thing also crashes when I try to use it. Do I have to reformat it? Or is there anyway to fix it without harming my files.
I didn't install anything new to it aside from the latest Energy Management software, the usual updates, and a game called Zuma Revenge
    Please help me, thanks

    Hi,
" Page fault in nonpaged area "  and OKR will not working as it should, sounds like a memory or harddrive failure , best call your local service.

L645 keeps crashing for no apparent reasons. Sent to service centre and they could not find out what was causing it.
    HELP!

Do you run any special applications while the system crashes?
    How about memory module check?
I guess the service guys could not find any issues because they could not replicate this issue
I guess the notebook crashes sometimes and its not easy to replicate this right?
