Notebook repeatedly restarts after a second or two.

Hi there. i'm facing a problem and that  was when i turn on my laptop it hangs and did not show any kind of display but keyboards light are on. after 8,9 tries the sytem start up properly but after 15 ,20 mins  it restarts again and again.
what i did so far
1) I run HP PC Hardware Diagnostic UEFI and perform component tests but  it give me a Failure message with a
Failure ID: 0U097F-6MV766-MFGJXG-404c03 while testing Memory.
2) I remove RAM and place it again.
By performing second option:

Hi
Even after reseating memory stick, it didn't work out. So you may have to go for replacement of the RAM. Contact HP in your region if you are under warranty.
Please read the other thread: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware/hp-2000-Notebook-PC-is-hanged-as-i-press-the-power-on...
HP Expert BHK6 has provided you with Service manual, you can look up the RAM configuration needed & the maximum suitable size & decide upon it.

Can you open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

  • Iphone keep restarting after 60 seconds

I need help for iphone keep restarting after 60 seconds, when I update ios 5.0.1 (9A405), how to overcome these problems

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.
If this does not help, setting it back to factory settings would be the next step:

  • Hp2010i Monitor goes black after a second or two

When I power on my desktop the monitor comes on for a second or two and then the screen goes black.  I tried powering off the monitor and then back on and it goes black again after a second or two.  I've checked all cables and connections and powered the complete system off for several minutes.  The computer itself is setting up properly -it's just the monitor giving me problems. Suggestions?

I use 1 Icloud account with 2 devise but the other devise arrest out my devise throue find my iphone, than my devise was not able to connect to itune anymore. My devise still can swich on but it always restart after afew seconds. So can it fix ?

Looking at the error message "The Network Adapter could not establish the connection" , It appears hostname and port may be incorrect. Review the targets.xml under E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\SAP_solman_SDB\emd and
emoms.properties under E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\SAP_solman_SDB\config folder to make sure host ( sap_solman) and port (1527) are correct.
As far as setting the environment variables goes, you can go to control panel -> system -> advanced -> environment variables and set the ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID

  • My IPAD2 is failing to restart after 10 seconds

What happened : after full recharge following a full discharge, IPAD cannot restart, reboots after 10 seconds on and on and on
I have rebooted it once using advice taken here, and was able to restore on itumes , but then got worse with reboot after 10 seconds
I had noticed this a few days before where after full discharge, it had needed long time before stabilizing, with reboot period
I s it because of battery or because of OS?
I am desperate, one month since I bought it!
    Thnks for help

If you have restored it - as a brand new device - and the problem continues - take to an Apple Store and let them look at it. Or call Apple. You get 90 days of free phone support as well and you are well within that time frame.
Let them sort it out for you.

  • Playback stops after a second or two

My playback unexpectedly began to stop after only a second or two today. Fast forward stutters too. No change in the computer (except software updates). The file is OK as it plays fine on my laptop. Trashed preferences, restored Garageband from a previous time machine version, turned off my airport, all to no avail. Garageband is completely unusable on my G5 Tower at this point. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Repairing permissions right now to see if it helps.

I had the same issues with playback stopping after a few seconds. It began happening in every project that I had.
I tried a vast number of things, changing mac settings, changing garageband settings, software update of garageband etc etc...
Nothing made any difference until late last night. I decided to make a brand new project with one simple recorded audio track to see if the problem would happen with the new project.
Playback worked fine in my new project and then when I checked my other projects, they all worked fine as well.
I don't know whether initialising a new project fixed things or whether it was a coincidence but the problem went away for me.
    Good luck

  • I-pod restarts after 30 seconds

After Disconnecting my ipod from my computer after the computer said ok to disconnect, i noticed that my i-pod still said do not disconnect and had become frozen, so i preformed a hard boot, now it will restart about every 30-45 seconds i have tried charging it, letting the battery drain and then charging it, and reloading the software but my comp will detect it however i-tunes or the i-pod updater will not detect it. I am working overseas on a military bases so i cannot take it to a store to have fixed and apple will not do mail service to the military addresses over here, anyone have some ideas

It sounds like your headphones are plugged in all the way.  Make sure that the you cannot see any silver from the headphone's plug still showing.  You should hear a sort of clicking/popping sound indicating that your headphones have been fully seated.
If that isn't the case, check the headphone jack for debris or damage.

  • Ipod stops on some songs then restarts after 3 seconds?

Hi, im having a problem with my ipod, during a song the ipod sound fails, like its on pause, then it re starts again after a few seconds, does anyone know what the problem is?, ive already re set it a couple of time.
    cheers tim

Hi, tell us more about the file format of the concerned audio files.
If it is big and not much compressed, and the iPod can't buffer the whole thing in its RAM, some lags can be heared, (IE: a 30min Aiff).
Not experienced it yet on my 5thGen, but on my 10GB FW, with a ~4h Aiff.

  • Grey Screen, Repeated Restart, after fresh Leopard Install

I own a Santa Rosa 2.4GHz 15" MacBook Pro that I bought in July of 2007. It came preinstalled with Mac OS X Tiger, and I never had problems with it. I have had BootCamp running on it with Windows XP, for PSpice and Microsoft Visual Studio, mostly. I had heard many initial issues with Leopard, and hesitated to upgrade. I finally got around to upgrading to Leopard with an Upgrade Install DVD. The procedure I did to upgrade from 10.4.11 was to back everything up (clone) on my Macintosh HD Volume using SuperDuper! to a freshly wiped external USB Seagate drive, that I can now boot from. I fully erased my MBP drive, deleted the Windows partition, and installed 10.5 from the DVD, allowing it to install all the updates. After the installation, I used the migration tool to import all my old data and applications back to my local hard drive. This seemed to good to be true (and it was). Everything was just as I left it, all my programs, desktop, settings, etc, even the contents of my Trash. I copied the Leopard disk to my USB Seagate Drive, and left it at home. I have since left the country, leaving my Leopard disk behind. However I did manage to bring my USB HD with my cloned Tiger system, and I also have brought my original Tiger Install discs supplied with my MBP.
I should note that I did have Application Enhancer installed on my Tiger system (****, Audio Hijack Pro!!!!). I know and realize that Leopard has had issues with this program since the beginning, it just slipped my mind that I even had it installed, since I rarely used it.
Now the first few days, I was enjoying Leopard, and everything was as smooth as ever. I went ahead and deleted the original Administrator account that Leopard created for me, since the Migration Tool restored my old Admin account. I also wanted to change my login wallpaper, and did so using the Terminal, with some "sudo" commands I researched on Google, for Leopard. Changing the login background was so much easier in Tiger, anyway...I logged out and back in twice to see if my login background changed from Aurora to my custom image, and it worked. So I figured I would give my Mac a nice clean Restart. Upon restart, I was faced with the Grey Screen of Death, just the Apple Logo and the spinning wheel, spinning for about 10 minutes, before it restarted itself. I gave it about an hour or so, and it just kept doing the samething over and over, grey screen, spinning, restart. I borrowed a friend's Leopard disc that came with his regular MacBook, and booted from it, telling me that I would not be able to install Leopard from that disc, since it was designed for a MacBook, not a MacBook Pro, understandable. I was however able to run Disk Utility. I repaired permissions, and it was very actively repairing permissions for about an hour. I also checked the disk and it was okay. Once again, I tried to restart, but to no avail, same thing again. Repairing permission did nothing. I also reset the PRAM and PMU, still nothing. I booted off my cloned Tiger system, and my local drive's file system and data was intact, just the System was messed up. I also hunted down a DoubleLayer DVD+R and burned the copy of the Leopard disc, but it would not boot. I figured Apple was smarter than that, but it was worth a try.
Now I am in Athens, Greece, with no Apple Store in sight, and no way to immediately purchase a legit copy of Leopard to reinstall (upgrade) my system. I really don't want to go back to Tiger, but I have the clone and the install discs. I am not sure what has gone wrong, not sure if it has anything to do with Application Enhancer. Is there anyway I can manually repair this issue? Where do I go from here? Should I just give up and go back to Tiger? I won't be back in the states for quite sometime....HELP!!!

The version of Application Enhancer was up to date in Tiger, but I was using a really old version of Audio Hijack Pro, because it would crash on me in Tiger everytime I tried to update it.
Booting in Safe Mode (Holding down Shift) does nothing, same as before. In Verbose Mode (Command-V) I do get an error message.
I am having a friend in the states ship me a direct copy of my leopard disc (rather than a finder copy), hopefully that will work. I'm still hoping for other solutions....thanx for the quick resoponses

I have Ipod Clasic 160 - recently it has started pausing then restarting within a second or two. It is mainly (but not exclusively) happening on lossless tracks. I have seen this has come before on teh forum - but not a definitive fix. I've tried the 5 Rs. Any ideas?

    Bump.

  • The volume on my iPad 3 has gone. I've checked the mute button, tried restarting, resetting etc and nothing has changed. I can't hear the music, hear any sound from videos. Most times the video stops playing after a seconds. My iPad 3 is only 2 months ol.

If you have lost all sound and video is freezing on you, that ain't good. Your iPad is two months old so I would not hesitate to contact Apple at all. You are entitled to 90 days of phone support.
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/contact/.
If you want to try a couple of things on your own, try quitting all apps and then reboot the iPad - not so much for the sound issue itself - but more as a general "start all over again" sort of approach. It might help with the video freezes.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Reboot the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If you use headphones on occasion, you can try plugging and unplugging those as well and see if the sound comes back.
You could even try restoring the iPad to factory settings and then restore from a backup, but unless there is something totally hosed on the iPad, that should not be necessary with a two month old device - of course assuming that you didn't drop the iPad or do something accidental that could be causing the problems.

  • Ipod touch 4th gen needed a new screen and sleep/wake switch.  So, I replace them.  I was able to get to settings and do "erase all content and settings".  I am not able to totally shut this device off as it keeps restarting after a few seconds.

Ipod touch 4th gen needed a new screen and sleep/wake switch.  So, I replace them.  I was able to get to settings and do "erase all content and settings".  I am not able to totally shut this device off as it keeps restarting after a few seconds.  I have used itunes to restore and also recover.  Device will actually shut off and stay shut off if I leave it connected to the computer.  The moment I unplug (3 seconds) the apple logo appears, it boots, unlock screen appears, I can unlock and operate normally, unplugged or not.  Just cant get it to completely shut down unplugged.  Any thoughts?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
      - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem. Maybe you installed a bad component or damaged something during the repair/replacement.
Apple will not help since you worked on the iPod yourself.
