Hi,
Try a Hard Reset as follows and see if this makes any difference.
Shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold  down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Re-insert the battery, plug in the AC Adapter and start the notebook.

  • USB Notebook speakers

I had such a good experience last time when I asked for your help--let's see if you can go 2-0.
I have a T61 ( 7662-CTO ) running Vista Ultimate 32. Since I upgraded to Vista Ultimate and since my company fiddled with my computer, I have had to reinstall some drivers.  I have some external notebook speakers that plug into my usb port.   They are made by Insignia.  (Model: NS-NBSPK).  They are basically el cheapo speakers I bought at Best Buy but I like them just fine.
Anyway, they are no longer working with itunes.  I went in audio properties and did a "test" and sound comes out of them then.  But that is the only time.  I was thinking I would update the driver since the driver is dated 2006.  But the only drivers I have found on the web I am scared to use because I don't know the source.  What do you recommend I do?

No gurus are willings to step up and offer a suggestion to try?

  • HP Notebook speakers play while headphones are plugged in, at random intervals

On my HP Pavilion g6-1b39wm Notebook PC running Windows 7 64-bit, I'm having an issue with my headphone jack; when I have my headphones plugged in, sound will switch back the speakers randomly, and then come back to the headphones after a couple seconds. As best as I can remember, I haven't made any changes to the computer that would cause this, and the problem still occurs regardless of what headphones I'm using.

same problem. i've scoured the web (or rather, browsed) and found that this isn't an uncommon problem with the newest IDT Codec Drivers. HP 3105m here. It's driving me crazy. I'm figuring that rolling back the drivers might do the trick, but can't figure out which version would work for my laptop. I'd suggest ditto yours

I was searched in the forum for related topic but nothing
    thanks.!!!!

I just read a test about a MSI GX600, they says that it has about a 144 minutes autonomy, I don't think that the wifi module is using so much power so, you're probably right, there is a problem somewhere.
On my MSI GX 700, I have a greater autonomy on Vista than on XP, but if you just bought the computer, I suppose you use Vista.
Does you fan is working at maximum speed all the time or something like this ? (it's very noisy when it's at max speed)
You can check with Riva Turner and CPU-Z if the GPU and CPU are well clocked down when on internet or stuff like this (not in games).

  • Ext SB card on notebook with XP need Computer speakers

?I have a SB0270 external SB card plugged into?my notebook computer's USB running Windows XP and using Audacity. I'd like to get sound from my computer speakers while recording music thru audacity. I do get sound from the earphone jack on the sound card. I've enabled sound output when recording in Audacity. I can see? via the vu meters in audacity, that the sound is being provided to the output, but ?I can't get sound from the speakers within the notebook computer. How do I turn the notebook speakers on. The minute I disconnect the USB cable to the external sound blaster card, the speakers in the computer work fine. I assume that the Sound Blaster software is turning off the speakers in the notebook. How do I turn them on?

And, you can be certain it's not a Li've! 24-bit. They didn't make them back then! It's either a Li've! 5. (probable) or a Li've! 4. (unlikely if the computer was really manufactured in 2000).
You can try removing anything that was possibly added by your using the cd, then letting XP install its nati've driver for it. I would download DriverCleaner from driverheaven.net. If there's nothing in Add/Remove Programs (as there probably isn't if your attempt to install the cd version of the driver (provided by Gateway?) failed before finishing), then go into device manager and remove anything related to the card and reboot to Safe Mode and run DriverCleaner. Delete the Creative Folder in Program Files that your cd probably made. Reboot and let XP install its driver. Reboot again.
That's probably the best your going to get if Gateway didn't update the Creative software for SP2. You could attempt to install the Li've Uni-Pack stuff from the download section here, but it might or might not work on the OEM card you have. If the software on your Gateway/Creative cd had problems then your probably going to just be able to use the nati've Windows XP driver. You will still be able to adjust your settings with the Windows audio controls, but won't be able to use Creative software.
You would need to contact Gateway to see if they really don't have a package for this. Did you check their website for updates for your model?

  • For 1/11/11 expert day: can hear sounds on headphones but no sound via the internal speakers

HP Pavilion dv6135nr Notebook internal speakers have stopped working.  I can hear sounds on headphones but no sound via the internal speakers.  A search on HP customer care for my notebook yielded the download recommendation below, even though I had not stated my problem.  However, executing this download did NOT resolve the problem.  Please advise regarding resolution to inoperable speakers.  I do not know if all of my sound and audio settings are correct, but the mute is not on and the volume controls are properly set.  The default device is Conexant High Definition Audio output, per the sound and audio devices properties hardware  tab the device status states "this device is working properly."  Is it possible that a Skype or Foxfire update is in conflict with this device?  If so, how do I resolve this situation?
    Thank you.

Re: Fixes issue where the notebook speakers do not work after headphones or earphones are used for a while and then unplugged.
HOW DO YOU FIX THIS?? I cannot find the correct Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio that works with my computer...
    My computer:
    VISTA
    HP Compaq 2230s Notebook PC
Everytime I use my headphones for more than an hour or two, the **bleep** audio will not play on my notebook's speakers, just through the headphones. Usually restarting a few times resolves the problem, but not this time. If I knew that HP computers sucked this much I would never have spent so much money on this one!!!
Can you please tell me how to fix this problem once and for all? Thanks!!

  • Poor quality speakers on Mid 2014

Got my new Macbook Pro MGXC2B/A and already had an issue with a left speaker, played music was crackled and distorted, speaker set has been replaced (all components must`ve been taken out except batteries to replace the speakers, just letting you know). The new one plays OK, but while left speaker plays decent bases and trebles, but the right one lacks with trebles. Is it normal it drives me crazy now LOL. Spent loads of money for it and already been in repair...

Notebook speakers leave something to be desired:  That is a personal opinion.  It is not an HP opinion on the subject.
Your system specs say your notebook has Bluetooth -- you might buy a decent Bluetooth speaker.  If you take the notebook on walk-about, you can carry the speaker in a pocket or hang it on a pack.   You can use Velcro and mount the speaker on the side of the notebook.  Even a small sized decent Bluetooth speaker can provide some pretty nice sound.
Or, buy some decent headphones or some decent powered speakers -- which might be the best option for reasons that you can look up for yourself.
BEATS is a chip that allows you to adjust decent speakers to get the best sound out of a decent sound system.
I am not gainsaying you nor am I disparaging your concerns.
Once, in a time gone by, I had a notebook with a fairly decent sound system on it.  Once.
The 17 inch HP Envy I have right now (with Beats) does sound pretty nice with some decent speakers attached.  With proper adjustment, the onboard speakers sound OK, too.

  • Problems with the X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook external card..

I recently updated my drivers for this card on my laptop to find out that updating my drivers meant causing my card to stop working. Before I decided to update through vista (probably a bad idea, but I really was hoping to get my new headset to work with Ventrilo and this seemed like the only route left after working on it for hours), the card was working fine. Music sounded amazing, etc etc. However, upon completion of the downlaod and restarting of my computer, the audio driver just stopped working completely.
At this point, this is what is going on: <img><span class="Apple-style-span"]http://img75.imageshack.us/my.php?image=helpmeyk3.jpg</img> .
I've gone to my devices through the control panel and attempted to revert to my old drivers, yet that doesn't work either. Nothing that I do seems to help, so I've just given up until I get someone who actually knows what they are doing. Here's my specs:
    Dell XPS M530 laptop
    Vista ?32-bit
    4gig RAM
    <span class="Apple-style-span">X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook
The headset in question is the Creative Fatality 3.5mm jack.
If there is anything else I can do, please let me know.
I just want this to work T_T been at it for around six hours now?

  • HP ENVY TS 15 Notebook PC: Problems installing audio driver (High Definition Audio device)

    Hello all,
My product is the HP ENVY TS 15 Notebook PC.
    Product number: E3B65PA#AR6
    OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit
A few days ago, I  upgraded my windows from windows 8 to windows 8.1 and found that no sound coming from the HDTV when connecting my HDMI cable however video is perfectly fine. I was completely baffled because the audio was working perfectly fine before upgrading to Windows 8.1. I have tried several solutions posted on other forums, such as installing other drivers, and uninstalling the IDT High Definition Audio Driver and then scanning for a hardware change. I have checked the HDMI cable and it is working fine with other laptop.
Device manager is showing 2 device :
High Definition audio device ( Showing yellow traingle)
      IDT High Definition Audio CODEC
When I am opening the properties of High Definition audio device it is showing :
This device cannot start (code 10)
    {Operation Failed}
    The requested operation was unsuccessful.
If anyone knows how to fix the problem, please help me
    thanks in advance

    Hi:
The IDT audio driver (notebook speakers) appears to be working fine.
The problem is probably with the Intel graphics driver which  controls the HDMI audio.
My recommendation would be to install the latest Intel graphics driver from the link below and see if that fixes the problem.

  • Is the X-Fi Xtreme Notebook an ASIO Multrack Ca

Hi!? I'm using Adobe Audition 2.0, with an Alesis MultiMix 8 USB unit for recording. I'm using a Dell Latitude D620 laptop. I want to be able to monitor incoming recording tracks, but I need a "low-latency" ASIO multitrack sound card for that according to Adobe. The built-in Dell sound card has terrible latency and is unsuitable for monitoring. Does anyone know if the x-fi xtreme will fit my needs?
    Thanks!!!

    Lamagraa,
Does the sound card itself work correctly or is it also giving you difficulties? If the only problem you are experiencing is with the external dri've bay it may in fact be defecti've. With everything that you have tried there is not a whole lot to suggest to try. If you are having trouble with the card also you might try moving the card to a different PCI slot to see if that hel
