Notes and tasks have disappeared
i had preoblems with my curve 8520 last night resulting me to reinstall the OS. I luckily used blackberry protect to back everything up. However all of the games have disapeared that came with the phone originaly and the notes and task apps have disappeared. I am not too worried about the games but I had a large amount of notes and tasks that I need to get back is there anyone who can help???
Look for you notes app as Memos on the device.
If you don't see it...
1. On your homescreen, press the Menu key > SHOW ALL, so that SHOW ALL is checked.
2. Look in EACH folder on your device... Applications, Instant Messengers, Downloads, etc.

For your camera, go to Settings>General>Restrictions and be sure that Camera is set to On. Don't know why you can't find FB, be sure you checked all your screens and inside all your folders.

I just upgraded to Firefox 8.0 and bookmarks have disappeared. Restore does not bring them back. Where did they go?

I just backed up my 3gs iphone using itunes. All my photos and contacts have disappeared from my phone. I am unable to locate them on my computer. HELP!!!
OK, I understand. Try this ... it's much safer. It will simply restore your backup, but not do anything to your iOS:
While your iPhone is plugged in to iTunes, right click on the iPhone icon on the left side of the iTunes display.
Choose "Restore from backup ..." from the pop-up menu that appears.
Again, what this will do is place that backup back on your iPhone without changing iOS. So you should be very confident in the backup contents before doing this. -

Do you think you could have done anything that might have caused this, if not then it might be best waiting a while in case they just come back. -
Why does Apple not support syncing Entourage Notes and Tasks with the iPhone?
I'd like to know why Apply syncing does not support notes and task syncing with the iPhone. It used to when I had a Balckberry and used a third party sync app.
I bought the iPhone (4S) thinking that syncing would be smoother and have less problems than I was having with the Blackberry and third party sync software. Are there any plans to support this?

Normally I run OS X, but on a whim I tested iCloud on Windows and was able to get Outlook to read and create Notes. It supposedly supports Tasks too, but I can't figure out how to use Outlook.

Syncing contacts, notes and tasks between iphone and Macbook
I have an iphone 4 and a brand new MacBook Pro and I understand how to sync contacts between the two and with my gmail contacts, however there are still some contacts on my phone that are not on my MacBook. I would like to know how I can keep my contacts up to date on both my iphone and Macbook without having to manually enter contacts from one to the other, ex: if I delete a contact on my phone, I want it to be deleted on my Macbook too. Is there a way to do this? Also is there a way to do the same thing with notes and tasks; between the iphone and macbook???
You can sync via itunes or sync via icloud

under the "view" menu open custimixze toolbar. Then drag those from that list back up to your tool bar.

Well, if they have truly disappeared then something is really messed up. For really messed up stuff, you need to set it to factory default condition, and then afterwards, restore it from your backup.

I have logged into a banking platform that allows me to look at statements then download them into excel & pdf, when I have tried to do this in firefox the icons of excel and pdf have disappeared. It allows me to export in internet explorer?

Ideally your iPhone and Outlook would be setup to use an Exchange account

When the phone is connected to the computer in iTunes, go to the Info tab and select Outlook as the source for Contacts and Calendars. Tasks will not sync, but Notes can be selected to sync as well.

Just got my Droid Incredible and used HTC Sync to get my calendar and contacts from my company's Outlook system. So far, so good. But what about Outlook notes and tasks? Is there some way to get these transferred over?

DennisYes the best way is to just type outlook into the search bar in the android market. A few I found that work are: gTasks, Astrid, Touchdown, and also companion link. Hope this helps.
