Notes App Disappeared

After restoring my ipod touch, my notes app disappeared. I restarted the ipod, but it didn't help. I also synced it with iTunes, but that also didn't help. I have a 1G ipod with 2.2.1 firmware. Please help. Thank you.

Maybe you should redownload the iPod firmware and then restore your iPod with the fresh copy of the firmware. Because something could have happened first firmware you downloaded.

contact tech support at your company - they should have backups available and might be willing to help you

My Notes app disappeared.

I was about to update some notes, and realize the app is GONE! How do I get it back??

Default apps are part of the iOS and cannot be deleted. Search all home screens and all folders and/or search for it with Spotlight, that will tell you what folder it's in.
If not found, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.

Note information disappeared. Can I get that information back?

All of my notes from my note app disappeared when I tried to copy and paste something. Is there any way for me to get that imformation back?

TS3991 Notes app with Mavericks

I just upgrades to Mavericks. It is slow, but not the reason for this question. My Notes app disappeared from Mail, and I saw that I had to relaunch it as a separate app, which I did. Unfortunately, all the notes on my IOS devices do not appear on my Mac. Help!

Have you enabled notes in system preferences > iCloud, if so try turning it off and on again.

I'm not sure whether this works with notes, (it works with contacts etc) Paul might be worth a try:
Try turning off notes syncing in your settings > iCloud and then turning them back on, hopefully you will be given the option to merge your notes. Otherwise I am afraid you are going to have to transfer them manually in the manner which you have already described.

The other day i deleted my email accounts off of my ipod and only reloaded a few of them. today i looked at my notes to look at a project i had typed on my notes because i didnt have paper and pen around to write it and i didnt want to froget. I reloaded the rest of my emails in hope that everything would reappear but sadly only some of them from 2010 loaded. Recently i had update some of the files and they were like they were when i first created them there were alos ones that i had deleted long ago. There are other notes i had made that were really important to me to andi wouldn't be able to remember every single one. Help Please!

Log in to icloud.com on a web browser with your Apple ID and disable FMiP there.

See if this fixes things.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I can't find preferences for the notes app. and every once in awhile some of my notes just disappear at start up, I see the name and then it refreshes and they are gone, very annoying. Can anyone tell me why it does this and how to stop it? thanks

Not fully au fait with iCloud. I don't use it. But if you have done a backup to iCloud then this might help. This reply will refresh your post thereby giving others an opportunity to comment. I am up to date on my software. All notes are backed up to Icloud. I have approximately 74 notes on my iphone but Icloud is showing only 15!

It sounds like there’s an issue with Settings, the Notes app entry isn’t showing up as expected. Take a look at the article linked below and try restarting your iPhone 3GS.
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If that doesn’t do it, try restoring your iPhone as shown in this article:

I have a new ipad air, and the notes app does not work right. I write a note and it will keep it for several days, or weeks and then I go back to it later and it has disappeared. This has happened several times. Any ideas why?

Ok. I disabled hardware acceleration. The only extension is the McAfee Scriptscan for Firefox 15.1.0, which was already disabled. I then disabled all plugins (Acrobat, Google Update, Intel Identity Protection (2x), Java Deployment Toolkit, Java Platform, MS Office 2013, Quicktime, Shockwave, Silverlight), which were all up to date.
Normal or safe mode still has same result. No startup, no option button and no customize.

- Try another charging source
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic. I suspect this is your problem

Notes disappear from Notes App

After making and using the Notes function since I got my iPhone 4 at the end of July, suddenly it will no longer save new or edited notes -- they simply disappear. And they disappear from my iPad, too, which I had considered a back-up. I cannot find them anywhere, and this loss of functionality is significant. Any suggestions for a fix? Thank you.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. After reading your post, I believe that you may be looking in a specific account for notes. You can click the Notes icon in the upper left hand corner of the Notes app. You can also check out the help guide on your phone. To view the guide on iPhone, tap the iPhone User Guide bookmark in Safari or go to help.apple.com/iphone. I have also outlined some of those options to find those missing notes for you
Use iCloud to keep your notes up to date on your iOS devices and Mac computers:
• If you use an icloud.com, me.com, or mac.com email address for iCloud: Go to Settings > iCloud and turn on Notes.
• If you use a Gmail or other IMAP account for iCloud: Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and turn on Notes for the account.
Choose the default account for new notes: Go to Settings > Notes.
Create a note in a specific account: Tap Accounts and select the account, then tap to create the note. If you don’t see the Accounts button, tap the Notes button first.
See only notes in a specific account: Tap Accounts and choose the account. If you don’t see the Accounts button, tap Notes first.
