Notes app storing notes locally?

Morning, I'm looking for the path to see if a note in the Nptes app has stored locally on my Macbook Air, I need it urgently from a meeting yesterday and I can't seem to see if anyones asked the question before.
I've looked and it's not soted on any of the accounts I've got syncing with the Notes app, it's not appreared on my iphone, so I'm assuming it's stored locally somewhere (or maybe not)
If anyone can be of help I'd appreciate it.
Doug.

Rodney,
Thanks for the great advice.  I do have another question related to losing my notes.  I have discovered that my most recent Notes, from around May of this year to present are no longer on my phone.  I located them on my macBook air per your instructions (thanks again!).  For some reason, unbeknownst to me, the last 3 months of notes are gone from my phone and are now on my Yahoo email account.  Do you know "why" that happened?  It bothers me that the most recent notes just migrated without any input by me.  I thought my data was lost.  It's not lost, but just not where I expected it to be.  Thanks in advance,
Jeff

  • HT2978 I need to turn off genius for apps.  I do not have any apps stored as I just got my phone and I can't scroll down to access the acct info.

    I just bought the Iphone 5.  I turned on Genius for apps and now can't get out of it.  I do not have any apps stored and I can not access the account info to disable it.  How can I access the account info or turn off Genius another way?

    If you have an iPhone 3GS, you can upgrade it to the latest version of iOS, 6.0.1, so any app that doesn't require a newer model of iPhone (as some apps do) should run. See:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4623
    As long as your iPhone remains activated, upgrading iOS should not be a problem. You will need a valid SIM from the UK carrier, though having a contract with them or unlocking the iPhone will not be necessary as long as you just want to use the iPhone as an iPod touch.

  • App Store not localized correctly. Tab titles in english using an italian Apple ID

    Hi,
    a few days ago I changed my Store settings  (Settings->Store) in iPhone 4S to use an US english Apple ID for a while. When I switch back to my Italian Apple ID store leaderboards settings turns back correctly but App Store app localization on my iPhone is still in english. I try to switch back again, syncronize, log out and so on but the app is still localized in english. What can I do in order to get my App Store app localization in italian? Thank you!

  • JNLP javaws error:  requested version of JRE...not locally installed

    Greetings,
    First: I am a user not a developer and have very limited understanding of JDK, JRE, and Java Web Start. I just want to figure out how to get these applications to run. I suspect it is a JAVA bug that is peculiar to my particular Windows XP-SP2 system configuration.
    My Problem: When trying to run (two different/independent applications) java web start applications, I get the following error.
    The application has requested a version of the JRE (version 1.4) that currently is not locally installed. Java Web Start is unable to automatically download and install the requested version. This JRE must be installed manually.+
    For reference, the Launch file is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <!-- JNLP to launch MOViewer application -->
    <jnlp
    codebase="http://gnlewis.ic.edu/~webmo/webmo/java"
    spec="1.0+" >

    </information>

    <jar href="Jmol.jar"/>
    </resources>
    <application-desc main-class="net.webmo.moviewer.MOViewerFrame"/>
    </jnlp>
    I should note that the required JRE is installed. I have various builds of versions 1.4 through 1.6 installed on my laptop. And my gut tells me that it is not the JNLP file that is the problem. I believe it to be a problem (bug) with java, JRE, or javaws that shows up with my particular PC configuration (which I did not set up but don't believe is particularly unusual).
    Another interesting and possibly related problem, is that when I goto the java application control panel (Start->Control Panel->Java) and select the "Java" tab, there is a lower section for "Java Application Runtime Settings". If I slect the "View" button a screen appears with two tabs: User and System. There are no entries under either tab. I can "Add" an entry under the user tab (and find the path to the correct java version etc.) and "Apply" the settings. I cannot add anyting under the system tab (even the my user ID is part of the administrator group and should have full system access). Even after applying this change, I still cannot run the java web start application. If I close the control panel and reopen it, the JRE path that I "added" is no longer listed under "View". This seems odd behavior. It is as if there is some configuration file or environment variable somewhere that is not getting set/saved.
    Please....is there anyone that has seen this problem and has a suggested fix. I have googled this problem and found a very few seemingly relevant pieces of info but it seemed more of a developer issue and I do have the background to understand the proposed fixes.
    Thanks, in advance, for your assistance.

  • User not local

    We are trying to send email to a domain that appears to have a configuration problem. The mail resolves to two servers:
    Host Preference IP(s) [Country]
    mail.neal-prince.com. 5 66.0.186.134 [US]
    mail.itcdeltacom.net. 10 165.212.65.113 [US]
    My C100 returns this error:
    551 <JoeSixpack>... User not local (at 12 Sep 2007 14:46:11 (GMT)) IP:165.212.65.113
    The Ironport wants to send to the 165.212.65.113 address which causes this error. Can I make it send to the 66.0.186.34 address?
    I have contacted the ISP to see if they can fix the problem, just thought I'd do what I can to resolve it myself if I can.

    Here are some diagnostic commands that you can perform from the command line (CLI) of the Ironport appliance. Once you've ssh'ed onto the command line with a terminal program like Putty.
    tophosts --> Active Recipients(1)
    - This displays messages in the delivery queue. Messages here have
    already been scanned and is waiting to be delivered.
    hoststatus --> domain (i.e. yahoo.com, stetson.edu)
    - This provides some information about the mailserver and if they are
    up or down.
    delivernow
    - Will try to immediately re-send all mail that was previously deferred and sitting in the delivery queue.
    - nslookup
    To perform hostname, MX records and IP addresses of a domain
    In your case, "hoststatus" would be useful since it will display the MX records and IP addresses near the bottom of the 'hoststatus' output.
    For example,
    nslookup
    Please enter the host or IP address to resolve.
    []> neal-prince.com
    Choose the query type:
    1. A the host's Internet address
    2. CNAME the canonical name for an alias
    3. MX the mail exchanger
    4. NS the name server for the named zone
    5. PTR the hostname if the query is an Internet address,
    otherwise the pointer to other information
    6. SOA the domain's "start-of-authority" information
    7. TXT the text information
    [1]> 3
    MX=mail.itcdeltacom.net PREF=10 TTL=1d
    MX=mail.neal-prince.com PREF=5 TTL=1d
    I noticed that there is a Time to Live (TTL) of 1 day for the hostname before it clears the cache. To immediately clear the DNS cache and have the Ironport AsyncOS go out and obtain current MX and IP addreses, type the following:
    dnsflush
    by the way, you can get a snippet of information on how the command works by typing,
    help
    help dnsflush
    --kevin
    Hmmm, the fact that your C100 is going to the MX 10 destination instead of the MX 5 one probably means that the MX 5 destination is down, since smaller MX values are more preferred.
    But to answer your question directly, you can use an SMTP route to force the mail to go where you want it. Use the "smtproutes" command in the CLI.

  • Run C# scripts daily/hourly in remote place , not locally

    Hi, I'm a beginner in automation tasks. I don't have experience on it.
    I have 2 scripts in C# (and one in CLI of CollabNetTeamForge,but for now we can forget about this last one).
    These scripts generate two XML docs which are connected and synchronized in a SharePoint Portal.
    I tested this architecture-flow locally from-in my PC and it works but what
    I want to do is automatize the execution and fix a remote storage of this flow-scripts. I want to fix a "task" which
    execute and save hourly this scripts in-from
    a external path (not locally in my PC) in order to keep updated the info (XML docs) in SharePoint without human intervention.
    I tried to find info but I still a bit lost. I don't know what platforms or resources let me do this :if a need a server , Power Shell , VS Timer Tasks , Cloud like Sky Drive...
    Could someone point me in the right direction?

    If you're wanting to do this mainly in SharePoint, you'll need to create a custom timer job.
    We can walk you through how to do this, or you can check out this link:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc406686(v=office.12).aspx
    If the MSDN article is too cumbersome, I've created quite a few of these and can walk you through it.

  • Double.parseDouble() is not Locale specific, how do I get round this?

    I am parsing Strings into doubles using
    String myNumber = "12,34";
    double d = Double.parseDouble( myNumber );The problem is that my number is of French style (it has commas instead of fullstops for the decimal points)
    The default Locale is English, so I get NumberFormat problems when parsing. (I can understand this)
    I even get NumberFormat problems when I do this:
    Locale.setDefault(Locale.FRENCH);
    double d = Double.parseDouble( myNumber );Which I think is really strange. I guess the Locale of Double is set at a certain time and not reset.
    OR maybe Double.parseDouble( <STRING> ); is not Locale specific?
    Where is my understanding wrong?

    Do you know if DecimalFormat reflects the default Locale if the default Locale changes?
    Or will I have to make a new DecimalFormat whenever it changes?As Locale is invariant, a DecimalFormat instance (as well a any object with a reference to the default Locale) cannot reflect the default Locale changes.
    But each time you create a new instance of DecimalFormat without specifying the Locale, it will get up-to-date Locale.
    However, you might prefer setting the locale explicitely (instead of changing the default one.)
    Note that Double valueOf() or parseDouble() methods are not related to default Locale, they use a fixed format.

  • JRE "currently not locally installed"

    Our school just started using PowerSchool (now owned by Pearson). My colleague has an old Mac on which they have OS X 10.3.9 w/a G4 processor (not sure the speed) and 1 GB of RAM.
    They can access the normal attendance stuff, but when they launch Gradebook, they get the following:
    An error occurred while launching/running the application.
    Title: PowerTeacher Gradebook
    Vendor: Pearson School Systems
    Category: Invalid Argument error
    The application has requested a version of the Java 2 platform (JRE) that is currently not locally installed. Java Web Start was unable to automatically download and install the requested version. The JRE version must be installed manually.
    Can anyone make any suggestions? They've already re-installed Java for OS X 10.3.9 and gone as far w/FireFox and Safari as they can w/their OS. And, really, since it happens on both browsers, I'm fairly sure that's not the problem.
    Expecially since, well, even when they double-click the .jnlp file on the desktop, they get this error.
    Oh, I did find things online suggesting that the cache needed to be cleared out, but even that didn't help.

    Look at this link.

  • How do I make a Note local?

    How do I make a Note local?  I don't want it to be in iCloud, because I only need it on my Mac Pro at home.

    The Notes application doesn't have this kind of option.  You'll have to use a different application for local notes.

  • Spool to PDF. Approach is Spool- app server then app server to local pdf

    Hello Experts,
    My requirement is: I want to create PDF file from spool number. As my program works in background and FM WS_DOWNLOAD/GUI_DOWNLOAD wonu2019t work in batch mode, I am trying to find its alternative.
    I am tiring to upload the internal table PDF[] return by FM CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF to application server. But while writing file in text mode, program dumps as it wont support all characters. Hence I am tiring to write in binary mode. Main problem occurs when I download the file from application server, I want to save that file in PDF format on local machine.
    I am able to download file from app server to local m/c but that pdf file does not open and says conversion problem. I am sure there must be some steps which I am missing. Might be there is some Fm which convert bin to Text/ASCII.
    Can anyone help me this?
    -Shweta

    If you can avoid using the spool and instead use OTF, this may be easier. Sorry if this doesn't apply.
    I tried going from SAPScript to OTF and writing the lines of the PDF table in binary mode but that didn't work for me for some reason.
    data: lv_pdf_file type xstring,
             lv_size type i,
             lt_pdf_lines type STANDARD TABLE OF tline.
    * pt_otf is passed from the CLOSE_FORM FM
    CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERT_OTF'
        EXPORTING
          FORMAT                      = 'PDF'
        IMPORTING
          BIN_FILESIZE                = lv_size
          BIN_FILE                    = lv_pdf_file
         TABLES
           otf                         = pt_otf
           lines                       = lt_pdf_lines
        EXCEPTIONS
          ERR_MAX_LINEWIDTH           = 1
          ERR_FORMAT                  = 2
          ERR_CONV_NOT_POSSIBLE       = 3
          ERR_BAD_OTF                 = 4
          OTHERS                      = 5
    open dataset lv_file for output in binary mode.
    transfer lv_pdf_file to lv_file.
    close dataset lv_file.

  • How to show image in Smart Form dynamically , Image is stored on local PC

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement where user can attach any image to PM Order in T-code IW33. Now this image  gets stored on user`s local PC.
    After this user will generate a report which is a Smart form, On this Smartform i have to show that attached image.
    So that image will contain Order Id and attached image.
    How this can be achieved.
    Regards,
    Abhishek

    Actually this Image(Image of Signature ) will be coming from Mobile device and then it will be stored as an attachment for an PM Order.
    So there will not be any manual interuption and therefore no one will be storing this in se78. But this image gets stored in local PC. And now i have to get this image on my Smartform.
    Any idea how to do it?
    Regards,
    Abhishek

  • In a cloned version of my hard drive, where would I find emails that were stored under "Local folders"? Are they lost now that the original hard drive died?

    I have a cloned version of my old hard drive from an old computer, which does not boot properly. I now have a new computer and would like to access the emails that had been stored in "local folder" in Thunderbird. I have searched the clone, but so far haven't come up with anything. Is there a particular file extension I should search for? Or is it possible that the clone doesn't have those files? Both the old and new computers are MacBooks.

    Thank you for the link.
    The profile must be really well hidden.
    I found the Library folder, and there's a Mozilla folder in there, but there isn't a Thunderbird folder, unless it's within another folder.
    Any other hints? I tried searching for any of the keywords and file extensions I could think of (and are mentioned in the link you gave me) including .default, but I don't know what the random 8 digits would be.)

  • IMAP: I thought emails can be stored/cached locally?

    I have old unread emails on an IMAP account. I left that host, and assumed even though I didn't read the emails, that Mail would have it locally cached, since it DOES show in the inbox that it's there (the email).
    I get this message when I click on it:
    "You need to take this account online in order to download it."
    I can't 'go online' with this account anymore, so I can't. Either way, the emails aren't that important, what I'm more concerned about is why aren't the emails being cached locally?
    Especially since I have "All messages and their attachments" turned on.

    Sure. If Preferences > Accounts > Advanced > Keep copies of messages for offline viewing was set to All messages and their attachments for this account, then Mail 2.x stored a local copy of the messages using the exact same format it uses to store messages in local mailboxes, except the suffix of the mailbox folder in the filesystem is .imapmbox instead of .mbox.
    You cannot import *.imapmbox mailboxes directly into Mail because when you do File > Import Mailboxes, Mail looks for *.mbox folders to be imported and ignores the *.imapmbox ones, but you can easily overcome this limitation by just changing the suffix to .mbox.
    Thus, if Keep copies of messages for offline viewing was indeed set to All messages and their attachments, the following procedure may be used to import those messages back into Mail:
    1. Quit Mail.
    2. Copy the entire ~/Library/Mail/IMAP-username@mailserver/ account folder to the Desktop -- e.g. by dragging it while holding the Option (Alt) key down.
    3. Change the .imapmbox suffix of the folders on the Desktop to .mbox.
    4. Open Mail.
    5. Do File > Import Mailboxes, choose Mail for Mac OS X as the data format, and follow the instructions to import the account folder that's on the Desktop -- note that you must select the folder that contains the mailboxes, not the mailboxes themselves.
    Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user's home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user's home folder.
