Notes are being duplicated on my iphone

Does anyone know why Notes are being duplicated and triplicated on my Iphone? I use both my Imac and MB Pro to add to current notes depending on where I'm sitting in the house.

Go to Settings>Notes>Default Account and set it to iCloud. Then open the Notes app, tap Accounts at the top, tap your iCloud account on the Accounts list, then try creating a new note and confirm that it appears on icloud.com now. If it does, leave things this way and your notes will sync properly with iCloud.

I just got my iphone 4s (bb conversion) and I setup my pop3 email account and set for push. i am finding that when my laptop is turned on and my outlook is open, not al of my emails are being pushed to my iphone. i want all emails to come to my iphone and it's a problem if i leave the office (and the computer on) and i dont see the emails until i get back.
anyone have a similar problem or know how to fix this?

Podcasts being duplicated on my iPhone

Recently, iTunes has started duplicating podcasts on my iPhone 3GS. I will have multiple episodes of a particular podcast in iTunes on my PC, and each time I sync, iTunes creates another copy of certain episodes on my phone. Not all episodes, only a few. And I see no pattern to it. I can resolve the issue short term by unchecking the Sync Podcasts box on my iPhone, Applying that, then rechecking it and applying again. After that, the iPhone will be correct. But the next time I sync, it will again duplicate some episodes of some podcasts - and always the same ones.
I've tried deleting and re-downloading the episodes that are being duplicated, and the same thing still happens. And of course I've tried rebooting the iPhone several times.
This just started within the past couple weeks, so it could be something in iOS 5.1, or in iTunes 10.6, which both also came along roughly during that time frame.
Is anyone else seeing this?

I have the same problem with all of my email accounts on my iphone 4S. But it's not the phone, it's something to do with iCloud. I hope someone can answer this question because it's really annoying. I've already removed one of my accounts from the iphone and look online. I'm considering doing the same with my other email addresses.

I've got an iPad that syncs its notes up to the IMAP Notes folder on Exchange server (Outlook) as HTML messages and an Android "phablet" that syncs Notes between the device and Exchange server as true Exchange/Outlook Notes items. Due to the conversion of these iPad notes to Exchange/Outlook formatted-as-HTML-messages-notes they are not detected as real Outlook Notes and don't get synched to my Android. So the Android synchs notes fine back and forth to Exchange/Outlook and they resulting Notes are Note-type items in Exchange.
The problem is that the iPad is converting these notes to message-type items and thus making notes unsynchable between the Android and the iPad.
Any ideas how to make the IMAP-based synching of notes back to Exchange not corrupt the note format would be appreciated.

My notes are being deleted, why?

About 6 documents in my notes app were deleted and I have no idea why. Is there any reason for this and how do I get them back?

If you have backed up your iPhone to iTunes or iCloud before the deletion, then you can restore your iPhone with the backup file to get them back. Or now you can open www.icloud.com, sign in with your Apple ID to check out whether the deleted notes are there or not. If they're there, you can sync them to your iPhone.

My notes are reconciling between ipad and iphone

The notes I create on iphone aren't reconciling on my iPhone and vis versa (always created and backed up on iCloud). They, at one time were successfully syncing but since I got my new iphone5 a few wks ago, I believe something isn't set up right in the settings. Can someone tell me what their settings for notes looks like?
The really nice Apple guy at the store told me to check my Mail settings since technically notes are synced via a hotmail or email account and saved/reconciled on iCloud. When inside notes on iPad, you can't tell which account you're on (iCloud or other). I really only ever want to use iCloud moving fwd since I use both Apple devices for work and personal note taking. I'd consider myself an above average computer user. Thanks for your help!!

one of the email accounts on my iphone is linked with a work msoutlook account. A problem is that the notes that i enter into my iphone end up on my outlook account and not my icloud account. Does anyone know how to remedy this?

Go to Settings>Notes>Default Account and set it to iCloud. Address book and calendar not syncing correctly. Events are being duplicated in the calendar, or disappearing totally, and the addresses are not updating.

I've been having problems with my calendar recently. Events I've listed are disappearing, without my having deleted them. And when I update my addresses in my computer, my iphone doesn't update when it is synced. Any ideas what could be causing this? I have an iphone 4, and have updated to ios5. The problem with my calendar started before changing to ios5, I'm not sure about the problem with my addresses, I've just realized it.

When I deselect the box next to contacts on system preferences > iCloud, I get a scary air message that says, "Do you want to keep a copy of your iCloud contacts on this Mac? If you don't keep a copy, iCloud contacts will be removed from this mac but will still be available on other devices using iCloud."
My mac has all of my contacts, but there are some that are not on my iPhone (Chistmas card list). Will I lose the contacts that are not backed up on my iPhone?
Should I select "Delete from Mac" or "Keep Contacts"?
Similar air message with calendars, so I assume whatever I do with contacts will be the same as calendars.

Why are my contacts and reminders being duplicated to another iphone in my house?

I bought two iphones yesterday and was putting in my contacts. When I saved each one on my phone, the contact saved on my partners new phone too. Obviously we have different contacts and don't want each others. Is there something I need to turn off or change to stop this happening. Any help would be much appreciated!

Sounds like you may be trying to use the same iCloud account on both phones. Each phone should have its own iCloud account to avoid actions taken on one phone being replicated on the other. If you set up the iCloud accounts using the same Apple ID on both phones, on one of the phones do the following:
Go to Settings>iCloud and turn off each of the synced services (contacts, calendars, etc.), when prompted choose to keep the data on the phone.
When finished, scroll to the bottom and click Delete Account. (This deletes the iCloud account from this phone only.)
Set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID and turn syncing back on for contacts, etc.
You will have to manually delete the unwanted contacts from each phone but once this is done you should no longer have any "cross-contamination".

Can I use iTunes backup/restore or iCloud to 'mash' together the data from two iPhones? In particular, the pictures and notes are of importance. Background: iPhone 4 died, bought new 4S while other was being repaired. Need to keep all data from both.

When you perform a restore from one backup, the device is first wiped. So you can't mash together two backups using restore.

Items in the invoice are being duplicated...

Please check the Sales order and confirm that the items are intact i.e.,there are only 6 line items and with different prices,check the delivery and if everything is same and different only in invoice,check the copy controls.

My Notes are being deleted!

I just realized a bunch of things I had saved in NOTES on my phone has been deleted on its own. I am not sure why its doing this. I got worried at first but I was able to find my "deleted" notes by going into Mail on Mac and clicking the triangle next to Reminders and then clicking Notes. All of my notes popped up on the screen. I just want to know why they are getting deleted from the phone. A friend of mine is having the same problem with her iPhone as well. She has a PC so where would her notes be? Is there a Reminders folder in Yahoo (she uses yahoo for her main mail client)?

Let me try to beak this down for you. Launch the Notes app on your iOS device and tap the button in the top left corner until you're on the Accounts page.
On the Accounts page you should have several options - This is where you choose the location that your Notes will be saved.
'On this iPhone' will save the Notes to the iPhone the Notes can only be deleted from that iPhone.
'iCloud' may be present if you have set iCloud to sync Notes so you can share them with other iOS devices -These Notes can be deleted from any iOS device set up to sync Notes with that iCloud account.
'Yahoo' or 'Gmail' (if you have both) will save the Notes to the email account - Here's the funny thing about saving Notes to the email account
If you delete a note from the iOS device it will stay in your email as that is where it was saved.
If you delete the note from the Email server via the Mail app of in Safari on the Mail providers site it also deletes the note from the iOS device. This would be like deleting a saved copy of any document on a computer.
My thought is your iOS device is set to save Notes to your Email account and you inadvertently deleted the notes from your device. I don't know for sure but good it's a good thing they where still saved to your email. For your friend I would have her check her email account for the missing notes. Hopefully she can recover them. Personally I would use 'On this iPhone' or 'iCloud' to save the Notes, the email option is to risky as I clean my Mail out on a regular.
