Notes become unreadable jargon when opened in player

I have tried to put in both word files and adobe reader files into the notes on my I-pod classic. The files appear ok, but when opened in my player - the text is all unreadable jargon.
Do I need to use a different file type or something? The apple support manual says it should work with any word processing proggramme.
Thank you for any clarification anybody has.
best regards, Silfan

They need to be plain text files, less than 4kB.
From the iPod classic manual.
"1 Save a document in any word-processing application as a text (.txt) file."

  • Error 22: Window does not have a constructor. when opening photomerge . panorama ??????

Whats up???   Error 22: Window does not have a constructor. when i select photomerge / panorama on my imac.    ( elements 11)

Try resetting the PSE preferences by
       1. Close Elements.
       2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
       3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
One of the similar threads is found here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/622755 which is for Photoshop but should work for PSE as well.

  • Not enough memory message when opening excel and powerpoint

I am running Mac OS X version 10.5.8. I installed Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac about a year ago and was running it without any trouble until about 3 months ago. I can still open Word, but receive a 'not enough memory' message when I try to open Excel or Powerpoint. Has anyone else encountered this problem and does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks

Yes I have and I think that's when the problem occurred. I've just read another post from someone who was having the same problem. Apparently the solution is just to keep hitting the escape button every time the error message pops up and eventually the application opens! Not very high tech, but I'll give it a go and let you know how I get on.

  • When opening music player, I keep getting icons that say waiting. These keep adding up and I can't get rid of them

I have icons that pop up and say: waiting but nothing loads, these keep coming in after I open music player. I can't delete these either

go to the appstore and make sure that there are no new updates for Drawsomething.
If that is fine, double tap the home button and remove every app you see in that area. (hold your finger on the recent apps area that just came up and then remove every app from that area.
Now try to go to DrawSomething.
    If that didn't do it:
Now go to where you have draw something and remove it from your ipad (hold down the icon until it all of them start to wiggle and hit the X on Draw something.
Now go back to the App Store and redownload draw something.
    See if that doesn't help.

  • I tried the free trial version of adobe after effects. When i click the setup button in the adobe cs4 folder, it says you can not finish the installation when adobe media player is running, but i don't have it open i keep trying and the same thing happens

    What do i do

Actually I simply would uninstall anything related to Adobe AIR, including AMP or the Acrobat.com widget. If you just uninstall AMP, one of ther others is going to bite you in your behind. It's a flwa in the installer that does not correctly detect and handle outdated versions of Adobe AIR.

  • Unreadable email when opening with Safari

All of a sudden when I use Safari to open my email all I get is a bunch of unreadable symbols and letters. How do I fix this?

Are you sure that ots not an issue on the server? Have you tried reading your email on a computer with a desktop browser?
Here are a couple of basic things that you can start with if you haven't done them already.
Quit Safari completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or clear Safari and restart the iPad. Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • DNG files exported from LR4 not showing changes made when opened in PSE10?

I have LR4, and once I make some develop changes I've been exporting the files I want to use as DNG.  I then open them in PSE10 to make final edits.  It's been working fine, actually I had an older version of Adobe Raw in my PSE on my other computer.  So when I opened in PSE it would ask if I wanted to conver to compatible version to edit in camera raw.  I always said no b/c I didn't need to do anymore raw edits.  Now that I have installed PSE on my new computer, it has the new ACR version I guess.  When I open the DNGs to edit now I no longer get this error message, but it's showing my contrast, etc. as a standard raw setting instead of the changes I made in LR.  Some are showing....like vibrance, but "recovery" which I know is "highlights" in LR, and other things are not showing correctly.  I know that the options are different, but I don't want to use the ACR settings that it's using when I open the file, or have to go through them again.  I'm sure there's something I'm missing but can't figure it out.  Thanks for any help!

I quite simply did not comment on the issue of "it is supposed to be better to keep DNG files as opposed to NEF files now, right?"
The issue you raised in your original post, and the issue of choosing DNG versus NEF, are completely separate and independent.
The issue of transferring photos to PSE would cause the exact same problems in your case whether or not you use DNG or NEF.
On the issue of converting photos from NEF to DNG, there are advantages and disadvantages, some people do and some people don't. If you'd like to know more, I suggest you search this forum, there are plenty of discussions on this topic.

  • Digital signature not showing in PDF when opened and printed with Preview

Not being able to find anything after searching high and low, I thought I would try my luck here: when I certify a PDF file using a visible signature in Adobe Acrobat Professional that signature does not show when I open the file in Preview or print it from Preview. Preview's Inspector information also claims that I can make changes, which I instructed Adobe not to allow.
Thanks for any feedback on this!

Try re-uploading the PDF and then updating the course. Sometimes the conversion doesn't take and the tracking doesn't apply correctly to a PDF.

  • [dwm] can not close irssi window when opened in a xterm class

    Hello guys,
I know the subject title is not really meaningful but the problem is a bit odd.
When I start irssi in a opened xterm window I can easily close it via modkey-shift-c. To open it directly in a specific tag I created a new class for irssi and defined in config.h how to deal with that class.
    the script called "irc"
    #!/bin/bash
xterm -class irc -e irssi &
and the relevant part of config.h
    static const Rule rules[] = {
/* class instance title tags mask isfloating monitor */
    { "irc", NULL, NULL, 1 << 1, False, -1 },
When I then try to close the window with modkey-shift-c I just get the message "Irssi: Reloaded configuration".
I don't really know why this happens. I defnied also a seperate class for alsamixer and closing this is working without any problem.
What could I try to solve that?
    Best regards.

What key do you have assigned as modkey in dwm?
It seems that modkey+shift+c is issuing the /RELOAD command in irssi rather than closing the window.  The modkey is superceded by whatever appilcation is running in the terminal.
I run irssi in xterm and modkey+shift+c closes it without issue.

  • Suddenly getting "FIle not accesible" error coming when opening a file from time capsure drive, please hlep

I just logged on today after a week to my wifi network coming from apple time capsure and when trying to access time capsue data, it is showing "FIle not accessble". A;ll the files are showing "X" mark for each file type, any help regarding this is appreciated.
    Thank you,

    Reboot the TC..
Open the airport utility in windows and make sure you have guest access turned on to read and write.
Also make sure you are in the correct workgroup and all network names meet SMB standard.. short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.

  • SubVI not executable error only when opening another VI in same instance of LabView

I have a VI (ill refer to as "A")that I have written for some of my components of my system, one of them being a loop that polls a pump controller to pick up the data (pressure, volume, etc.) coming from the pump.  Now I have been able to get a VI (Ill refer to as "B")from that manufacturer that allows me to not only get the data, but write a command to my pump controller to control my pumps from labview.  So, my goal was to just open both VI's (A and B), "copy and paste" (from B to A)so to speak, so that I could have controls incorporated into my existing VI (A) that has the controls for the rest of my components.  However, when i open both VIs in the same instance of labview, i always get errors from the second VI that i open.  Keep in mind that when running just one VI in an instance of labview, it gives me no errors.  The furthest ive gotten was to open my "B" VI first, then open my "A" VI, in which the "A" VI only gives me "not an executable error"  After investigating the source of the error, it says that it's coming from the loop inside my "A" VI of which polls my pump controller to get the data.  So basically what im thinking is that the programming thinks that one VI is coming up with the data, and one is controlling it, so it gets confused as to whats actually going on.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I can attach some of the VIs if need, figured Id try to get some ideas first as to maybe what is going on...
    Thanks in advance!
    Matt

What errors?  Do they have an error number?  Do they have a description?
Since you said communication, I'm going to assume that it is serial communication and is using VISA drivers.
It is very likely the two VI's are stepping on each other's communication while they are trying to communicate with the pump.
Why don't you post the two VI's so we can see what you are doing?

  • Lightroom images do not look the same when opened in PSCS5

    Hi,
I am using LR 3 and PS CS5, but have an annoying problem which I don't know how to fix. Basically, when I look at an image fit in window inside LR 3, it looks real well as far as contrast and saturation and hue... when I choose  Edit In Photoshop CS5, the file opens in PS but the contrast and saturation and even hue are slightly off. Why?
    Thanks,
    Juan

Juan, note that in Develop Lightroom does not use all of the available raw data at once to give you a preview. It does this as otherwise, the program would be unusably slow. Every move of a slider would have to result in a complete rerendering of the data at full resolution and then downscale the image to screen resolution. Even on the very fastest machines out there this still takes about a second which would make everything glacial especially on normal computers. So in zoomed out views, it simply takes a subset of the raw data at lower resolution and uses that to render. This can subtly affect saturation in cases where there is a lot of fine color detail because there is no averaging going on to arrive at the lower res image. When you zoom in to 1:1, Lightroom simply renders only the small subset of the image that you see in your window. Because this is only a small subset, this is again very fast, but is now done at the full resolution. In Develop, you will only in 1:1 see Lightroom apply noise reduction and sharpening which can also affect apparent saturation at zoomed out levels. This will certainly remain an issue until we are a few generations further on Moore's curve. However at that point the resolution of cameras will have increased by the exact same amount making the problem remain.
Now consider what happens when you go to Photoshop. Lightroom (or ACR when you use "edit in Photoshop") renders the image from the raw into usually a 16-bit prophotoRGB tiff. This is then opened in Photoshop. Photoshop does NOT know how to deal with raw data. It needs a fully rendered RGB image which is supplied either by ACR or Lightroom. Now, since you have a fully rendered image, scaling down is very easy. However, you no longer have the freedom to reinterpret the raw data. The model used in Photoshop is very different from Lightroom and therefore different restrictions apply.
In Lightroom's Library views, a prerendered jpeg is used for the display. This means that in Library view, the image is scaled down from a fully rendered image and should show a desaturation with respect to Develop when you have lots of fine color detail. Note that neither Lightroom's Library preview and Photoshop's scaled down preview are actually accurate. Both scale in a gamma corrected space, but only for display. To compound this, Lightroom scales down using a different algorithm than Photoshop (which uses several mechanisms based on the zoom level - i.e. whether it is divisible by two).  It is simply impossible to highly accurately display a high resolution image on a very low resolution computer display. You always have to deal with scaling, for which there exists no most correct method. They all have issues (certainly Photoshop's silly method does).
Lastly, many people that see subtle (or even extreme) differences between Photoshop and Lightroom actually have a problem with their monitor profile. Make sure to recalibrate your monitor and when you do, make sure that the calibration software generates a v2 profile (most profiling software has this option in the advanced setup). Lightroom treats v4 LUT monitor profiles differently than Photoshop. This difference will be gone in a v2 matrix profile.

  • Help !! DVD DOES NOT SOUND/PLAY RIGHT WHEN PUT IN PLAYER

    Hello,
I have put together a dvd of slides and music and looks and sound great on the computer when I put the dvd in. The problem is when I go to play it in my dvd player, it not only does not sound good in many areas, but also produces a delay in the picture. It comes up, then kind of refocuses. I have done these before pre iDVD09 period and never had a problem. Is there something I can do? Perhaps a different software program. It is a Christmas present and I'm disappointed in it. Any help would be awesome. I am using 16x HP DVD's and have tried adjusting the speeds in preferences...ex. 4x. Hope someone can help. Thanks !!

Have you tried saving the project at a disk image, mounting the disk image and playing it with DVD Player. That will determine if the problem lies with the encoding or the burning.
Once you're satisfied that the disk image is OK you can burn it with Disk Utility or Toast. me01's mention of the recommended DVD brands is correct except the -R type is recommended.

  • TypeError:undefined is not an object message when opening a new window in Bridge

Every time I open a new window in Adobe Bridge CS6, I get a long error message that says
    "TypeError: undefined is not an object: onResize()buildUIStack(true,"Cabinet")buildUIStack([TabbedPalette:[objectTabbedPalette]], true,"Cabinet")switchTo([TabbedPalette:[objectTabbedPalette]],[Group:[object Group]],true)AmgDesignWindow([TabbedPalette:[objectTabbedPalette]],[Group:[object Group]],true)populate([Group:[object Group]],true)"
I'm running OS 10.8.5. I've tried uninstalling and then re-installing CS6 but I still get this error message. Once I click OK, a new window will open. I just want to know how to stop this message from popping up every time I click "new window".
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

It could also be a bug in OS.  Did it work before?  If so reset preferences.  Hold down Option key and start bridge.  You should get a reset window.
