Notes deleted after ios5 update

Just upgraded to iOS5 from 4.3.3 and my notes did not sync. Backed up the day before ios5 upgrade but backup history only reflects June & the ios5 backup. Thanks!

is that when you want to play music over the air (airplay) like BT headset or something?
because i am facing the below issue in my car.
the phone minimizes the volume of airplay and the ringing to 0 when connecting to a device (BT headset or car kit)
upon disconnecting, the ringing tone remains 0 and i miss all or most of my calls.

Calendar is not synching after ios5 update

I use the iphone configuration utility to transfer settings to blank/new iphones (i'm an administrator) and this is how I apply our calendar settings including server paths etc to synchronise the calendar over the internet. Since updating to ios5 this has not worked and, in most cases, the calendar has just gone. Reinstalling the settings has not helped and it still refuses tow ork, if it makes a difference we are currently using SOGo as the calendar server program.

Apps crashing/not opening after iOS5 update. Help please?

Before the iOS5 update, my apps use to crash like 5% of the time, but after I updated it, depending which app I use (for example: Plants vs. Zombies, which is the app that does this the most) crashes almost all the time. It's really annoying, epecially if it takes a long time for the app to load. The other day, last week, I bought the app game Pandemonium! (after seeing it was a game I use to play on the first PlayStation) but when I was about to play it, it wouldn't work. I restarted the app (by holding the lock button, then holding the home button) it didn't work. I deleted the app then reinstalled it, and it didn't work, still. Then I restarted my iPod and it still didn't work! I then read the reviews, and everybody who had updated to iOS5 had the same problem (white screen, then it goes back to the main menu where the app is located). I don't want to delete the apps, the reinstall it, because I will lose everything I worked hard for, and it really hurts when that happens, so what can I do? Especially for the Pandemonium! game as I really was looking forward to play that

Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Try installing a new app
- Restore fro backup. Your app data like game progress will be restored
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

Ipad will not restore after ios5 update

Help! I downloaded ios 5. Now during the install on my first gen ipad 3g64, it will not get past the updating firmware. Gives error. Have tried at least a dozen times.

Restore from iTune Backup
1. Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings
2. You'll be asked twice to confirm
3. You'll see Apple logo and progress bar
4. You'll see a big iPad logo on screen
5. Configuration start
6. Set language
7. Set country
8. Select Network and input Password>Join
9. Enable Location Service>Next
10. You'll be given 3 options (a) Setup as New iPad (b) Restore from iCloud Backup (c) Restore from iTune Backup
11. Select Restore from iTune Backup
12. You will see picture of USB cable pointing towards iPad
13. Connect iPad to iTune (make sure iTune is on standby)
14. Tap Continue (computer)
15. Restore iPad from Backup (computer)
16. See progress bar with estimated time (computer)
17. See Restore in Progress on iPad
18. See Apple logo
19. See Apple and Progress Bar
20. Slide to Unlock
21. Copying Apps back to iPad (computer)
22. You'll see Loading/Installing/Waiting below the Apps (iPad)
23. Sync Music/Podcast/Movies to iPad (computer)
24. Sync completed (computer)

Notes deleted after software update

After I installed the new software all my notes were deleted. The last update was from the status with deleted notes. Any idea how I can get the notes back?

If using the iPhone as designed, contacts are synce to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service like MobileMe or Exchange.
Simply re-sync the contacts.

IPhone 3GS will not activate after IOS5 update it says there is no SIM

I tried updating my iPhone 3GS to IOS5 and it is saying the activation server is temporarily unavailable and then iTunes says there is no SIM but there is.

Here's what you do
1.Make sure your phone is not plugged into the computer.
2. Put the iPhone into recovery mode (this is NOT DFU mode). Do this by
     a). Hold down both the power/sleep button and the home button until the screen turns black/off
     b). As soon as this happens release the power button but NOT the home button
     c). If done correctly then the Apple logo will appear, KEEP HOLDING THE HOME BUTTON and eventually a connect to itunes graphic will appear. You can release the home button
3. With the connect to itunes graphic on the screen, plug your phone into the computer. iTunes will start up if it is not already on, and then will say the phone needs restoring. Ignore this and COMPLETELY quit iTunes.
4. With iTunes off and the graphic still on the phone screen, hold down both the power/sleep and the home button again for 9 seconds (count 100, 200, 300...) or until the screen goes black
5. When the screen goes black release the home button straight away.
6. It will start up with the iPhone activation screen ignore this. iTunes should have started up, if not do so. Go to the iPhone tab and either resotre from backup or set up as a new phone.

Wi-fi not connection not working after ios5 update.

I updated my iphone 4 to the new OS but I cannot connect to my home wi-fi. I see it listed as an option in the menu but after I enter my password (which is correct) is tells me "Unable to join network "___" . I have restarted my everything and still nothing. I have been trying for the last 2 days. Any suggestions.

I don't know if this will help you, but here it goes. I have iPhone 4 still running in firmware 4.3.3 due to my jailbreak state. I bought a new router and noticed that my iPad, iPod and iPhone weren't able to connect to my wifi. I did a little google search and came across a thread were it said never to use capital letters when naming your SSID due to iDevices for some reason not recognizing capital letters. It turned our that before my new router my SSID was all in lower cases letter but I decided to capitalize Magnet on the new router. Believe it or not after renaming my router to "magnet" I haven't had any connection issues, all my devices connects fine to my network.

Ipod touch 4g- no music, and apps not working after iOS5 update

Hi, I just updated to IOS 5 on my Ipod touch 4G, and ever since then the music library (in the Ipod) is cleared out, and none of the apps work. It's like it didn't finish updating and transferring back the data to the Ipod. When I go to plug in the Ipod to my macbook, and bring up Itunes, the Itunes program freezes every single time, not allowing me to fix the problem. My Ipod will show up in the side bar of Itunes, with the circular arrows going for a little bit, then the arrows stop in the middle of the process... I go to click on anything in Itunes and immediately get the spinny flywheel on my screen, meaning itunes freezes, and I have to force quit the program everytime. I've tried rebooting my computer a few times, as well as restarting my Ipod, but nothing is working. The internet works on my Ipod, but anything music/app related is 'empty.' I couldn't find anyone else on the net w the same problem, so I might have something unique~

I would try restoring the iPod from backup. If necessary, place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovery mode:

There's the solution. Apparently a bug in the beta and public releases.

Safari on my iPad. I have an original iPad and since updating to the latest iOS safari forces me to restart the iPad about two to three times a day. Three problems: 1. It just blacks out. 2. The reading list does not delete after the story is read. 3. Ema

Since updating to latest iOS safari fails several times a day.
1. Just quits.
2. The items on the reading list will not delete after visited.
3. The screens goes grey when I go to email a reference.
Is the a solution other the restarting the iPad or is this something apple ought to fix?

See if the following help.
Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data (and Clear History)
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

After ios5 update, iCal week view Oct 2-8 has 2 Saturdays?

Is anyone else having problems with iCal week view on iPad after ios5 update?
Two major changes have occurred...
1. Week view used to start on Monday, now Sunday (and can't change it back).
2. If you look at the week October 2-8, 2011 there are 2 Saturdays and no Friday or following Saturday...
Any ideas? Is this a wait for ios5.1 issue?

If you are using a Mac, go to Settings>Software Update ... check for any updates, and update all.
Chances are you are not using iTunes 10.5, which is required to sync iOS 5.
If youare using a PC, suggest you uninstall your iTunes, download fresh iTunes 10.5 from Apple.com/itunes and install it.

You may also want to reset your network settings:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
