Notes doesn't work

Ipad 3 64 gb. Notes application opens but won't do anything. I can't write a new note or anything.

OOps, I see the message about Marker Felt. was deleted from my mac, so I added it in, and now notes works. Weird weird weird, you can't even change the font if marker felt is not installed, so this counts as a buggie bug

but I cannot do that because whenever I try to activate notes sync in iCloud, my mac merges the notes I have 'On my Mac' to the iCloud and deletes the 'on my mac' section.
so, I cannot back up my notes on my mac.

"is not" doesn't work at all

I'm using iphoto 6.0.4 on OS/X 10.4.7 and have a library of ~8000 photos
mixed with film scans and digital captures. I'm trying to make separate
smart albums for film and digital...
smart albums by camera model and file name work great, but excluding
items doesn't work i.e.:
I created a smart album with "Camera model" (EOS 5D/EOS 10D) "is not"
and Filename "does not contain" (MG/IMG_/CRW)
my film scans do not contain any of that information
"match any" is active
this should show any non-digital photo in my smart album...
but iPhoto doesn't seem to work with the "is not" in the camera field
or with "does not contain" in the filename
any ideas?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. I'm able to use the "is not" search criteria in Smart Albums. Have you tried using just the Camera is not xxxx without the File Name criteria.

Sync iPhone 3Gs with Outlook 2003 Notes doesn't work?

Up till March 2010, Syncing Notes form Outlook 2003 worked but now it doesn't. If I create a Note on the iPhone, it doesn't show up in Outlook after a Sync. If I update a Note on iPhone or Outlook 2003, the update doesn't appear on the other device. I have tried checking the box to replace Notes on the iPhone from this computer with the next Sync, but it nevr replacing the Notes on iPhone from Outlook 2003.
I need help with this please.

Talk to your IT department. It sounds like either you have the wrong server information (i.e. you have the server name/address that is valid internally, but not a publicly accessibly name/address) OR they do not have the proper ports open on the firewall for active sync to work when you are off the network.
I'm assuming you're using a company WiFi network while in the office. If you temporarily turn off WiFi in the office, so the phone reverts to 3G, you should be able to replicate the problem for them.

Export comments/notes doesn't work anymore!

In the new version coming with OS X Maverick yesterday the export isn't working like it should.
When you try to export a PDF and check "Include presenter notes" those notes will NOT be exported.
This worked perfect in the last version.
I really need those notes for a presentation!

Stop the server and agent.

Yes, I know this forum has users like me and it's not Apple. I was only venting and, showing my frustration for Apple. You said if I wanted more help I need to give more info...
What kind of info? like what kind of Apple computers I have? the specs? etc. I know I need Itunes on a PC as well to add movies to my Iphone 4s but, I also have a Samsung Galaxy S4 and, that phone all I do is Plug it in to my PC and from there on it's really easy because it gives me the option to let my PC see it as a external HDD to where I can litteraly drag my movies that I want into it.. And, boom! I'm done. With Apple is like oh my god, you need this you need that you need the other thing.. Blah Blah Blah LOL.... But, I'm a stubborn bull and I want to add movies to my Iphone 4s. So, what I do is the following, I plug in my iphone 4s to my macbook pro and Itunes launches by itself, then I click on the iphone 4s on the upperr right corner, right after a list appears with all my music, then I click on where it says Movies on the upper left, then I try to drag a movie into the list and there's an error message that appears telling me that the movie wasn't copied to my iphone because it can't be played.... at this point I gave up and here I am asking for help.
I don't what info you want, I have a iphone 4s, a macbook pro wth OSX Mavericks, 2.6 GHz Intel Core !7 8 GB ram... I also have a Imac which I have put away since we just moved in so, I can't remember the specs but it's about 2 - 3 years older than my macbook pro... Apple seems easy to use when it comes to graphic design, video editing and, working with audio... When it comes to multimedia, it seems not so great. I hope this is enough info... Iphone 3gs and Outlook 2007 synconization note doesn't work.

Hi, I've a IPHONE 3gs with firmaware 3.1.3 and new IBOOT.
The sincronization between PC (windows 7 home start edition) outlook 2007 and IPHONE 3gs, seem works perfectly.
Instead the note of outlook 2007 is impossible to syncronize with note of Iphone.
If everyone has the solution, please help me and replay to this topic.

Check to make sure you've done the following:
1) Connect your iPhone to your laptop.
2) Click on your iPhone under Device in iTunes.
3) Click on the Info tab.
4) Scroll down and make sure you check the box for Notes (Sync notes with...Outlook).
5) Click Apply button below.

Upgraded to 6.0.2, IBM Lotus Notes doesn't work correctly. Can I fall back to a previous FireFox?

I've been using previous versions of FireFox for years on XP machines. Recently bought a Win-7 machine and upgraded both to FF 6.0.2. I can't get scroll bars on the side when using my company's IBM Lotus Domino. I've had to drop back to IE, which I do not like. Is there some way to fall back to an earlier version of FF? The site with the problem requires UID/PW to login, so I can't show you the problem I'm experiencing.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Clip Notes doens't work in Reader 9??

I read online that Clip Notes doesn't work with Reader 9?! Maybe that's why I and my clients have been having problems as of late with Clip Notes?
So I found an Adobe link for Reader 8.12 and tried to download it but it defaults to downloading 9. This really sucks Adobe. I'm not upgrading until the new year. What exactly am I supposed to do now? This is part of our workflow and now it doesn't exactly flow.
Btw- I'm on Mac, OSX 10.5.5, CS3. I'm dual booting and on the Windows side with Reader 9, can't view a clip notes PDF. On the Mac side, I can open the ClipNotes pdf and see and hear video but the timecode is screwed up and get an error message that "you can't save this form", etc.

I agree with Jim as to the bottom line for CS3 current workflow/workarounds. However:
The problem is not the development of CS3 but the development of the Acrobat Reader
My understanding is that the issue is indeed with CS3. Reader 9 closed certain security holes, which is why it no longer plays Clip Notes files. CS3 would have to be updated to create files that are compatible. But like I said, that's not likely to ever happen.
When the same company (Adobe reader/Adobe Premiere/clipnotes) makes changes in one area that break an important/promoted feature in another product, they should fix the broken product. CS3 should have kept its promised functionality in the supported operating systems.

A1 note isn't working?

I have an odd problem. A1 note doesn't work when I try to play with my midi keyboard. The problem isn't in my keyboard because I've tried 3 different models.
Logic reacts only when A1 is released. In transport bar it says ♩1 A1 OFF. It says nothing when I push it, only when I stop pushing. All the other notes are working. A1 works perfectly at Mainstage. The problem is only with Logic pro.
Can someone help me?

try to delete logic preferences
Located in user(you)/library/preferences
files name are:
com.apple.logic.pro.plist
com.apple.logic.pro.cs
search it with spothligth...
if you have personalized Key commands you need to export and save it, before close Logic
after Logic is closed you can delete the files...
all Logic setting will return as default starting condition.... so you will need to set again the buffer size, PDC, UTM and everything else about your prefered settings

E71 w/ Outlook 2003 Calendar Sync doesn't work

I upgraded to OVI Suite from PC Suite and like some features but Calendar and Notes doesn't work anymore. I use Outlook 2003 on Windows 7. Here is my system information from OVI Suite:

I'm having the same problem. I have an e71 that connects using BT and I can't get it to sync the calendar and tasks, notes, or bookmarks. It's super frustrating. Here's my info, any solutions would be much appreciated:

The phone software is the latest, according to the Ovi Suite. When I click on "Sync -> Sync Now" the options for Calendar and Tasks, Bookmarks and Notes is disabled (I can sync all the other functions like contacts, messages and music.

The printer menus are confusing. I hate using it. I loved my previous Canon which finally stopped working after many years, that's why I purchased a newer Canon model. Never again. Stick with cameras.

Because I still had my old printer drivers and other applications on my hard drive, I think the application was trying to connect with the old printer. I deleted all the old stuff.
I also had several scanning applications on my drive which just confused me.
When I used the actual Canon MX922 application, I was able to scan but could only save as JPG, TIF or BMP (and one more, I forget which). So I did some research on the Canon site and found out how to save documents as PDF files using the Canon IJ Scan Utility.
It works now. So I'm satisfied, will keep this maching. I just had to take some time, sit down and focus on the problem.

I believe I was running a 6.3.as.df,msad.f,masdf version of Firefox and my Netflix account was working wonderfully well. I happened to hit the quit button last time, instead of the save and quit button and for some reason, Netflix did not load properly. I cleared the day's history, as usual, and tried again. This usually works. I closed Firefox and tried to reopen it, but it said Firefox was already running, that I would have to restart my computer to solve the issue. I did that twice. Finally, I noticed Firefox was trying to download a new version -- even though I don't recall asking it to do so. Now I'm running 7.0 and my Netflix page doesn't work. I am logged in - great - but I can only access "My Account and Help" page and "Viewing History" but nothing else. Lame! I would love to know how to get this to work. I can't even pull up Netflix's main page on its own. All other websites seem to be working properly. PLEASE ASSIST!

If this were just a Netflix problem, why can I access Netflix through Internet Explorer and not through Firefox? I've been using Firefox to access Netflix for at least the past year and starting yesterday (12/6/11) Firefox doesn't seem to recognize that Netflix exists. I've tried the suggested Firefox "help" which was of no help whatsoever and may even have made life more difficult in accessing other accounts. Anyone know how to contact Netflix or Firefox by phone?
