Notes don't show on some contacts.

I am using Blackberry Bold 9000 with v5.0.0.822.
When I look at some contacts, the notes section is not displayed on the blackberry but is displayed on the outlook contacts.  Yet, some other contacts work fine.  That is, the notes are displayed correctly on outlook and the blackberry.  I am using wireless synchronization for contacts.

I tried a test - set up 2 new test contacts with notes, one from desktop and one from blackberry.  It worked fine.
So, I deleted one original contact that was having an issue and re-entered it.  It works fine.  So, I still don't know why the problem happened, but I guess I will delete and re-enter problematic contacts for now.

Click once on the sleep/wake button to ignore the caller and the call will eventually
go to voicemail. Click twice to send the caller directly to email.

  • Notes and other fields don't show up in Contacts on my iPod Classic 160GB

I don't know if this is just a bug or if I missed a new option somewhere to hide/show Notes and other fields in Contacts, but they don't show up at all. This problem is specific to the new 160GB iPod I bought today. Notes show up fine on my 4GB Nano (2G) and old 3G iPod.
I would at least like confirmation from some other people that the Notes field is not showing up in your contacts.
I just ran through a few other contacts and it appears this is a more serious sync problem. There is a field listed in my Address Book as "work" that is showing up as "home" on the 160. The field is identified correctly on my nano. I also noticed that the field for the iChat id is completely missing from all the iPods.
This is a pretty serious bug for anyone that uses their iPods for Contacts. Since someone is bound to ask, yes I did try resetting the iPod. I even went as far as completely restoring it from both Windows and the Mac, but always saw the same problem, so I went back to my default Mac setup.

I did another restore and let iTunes move my whole library over before going back to the summary and syncing contacts, but I got the same result. No notes on any contacts and various contact fields that are named incorrectly compared to the Address Book originals.
I would appreciate confirmation of this bug or people with 80/160 classics identifying that notes due show up in their contacts so that I can post an accurate description to the bug report form.
    Thanks!

  • Contacts added in Messages don't show up in Contacts/Address Book?

    Okay, here's what's happening:
    1) A friend messages me for the first time
    2) At the top of the message window I hit "Add contact"
    3) I type in the details
    4) Now, this new contact SHOULD show up in my Address Book/the Contacts app, right? But it doesn't!

If found a thread on stackexchange dealing with several suggestions, none of which worked for me. The last message in the thread is diappointing as it basically says "don't use the add contact feature in the Message app". Unfortunately that is the answer I'll be going with since the feature is obviously broken.
Here's the link to the thread: http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/36131/some-contacts-not-showing-up-but- are-still-stored-in-iphone-4

I noticed that only the contacts who don't use iMessage appears in red; this is strange because it always show the iMessage contacts in blue and the "normal" contacts in green.

  • New entered contacts on ios 7 don't show on phone contacts and on icloud

the new entered contacts on my iphone 4s with ios 7. is not showing  on iphone contacts search  niether on icloud. However, if i dial the phone number corresponding to the new entered contact it shows the name on the phone screen.

It's probably because they belong to a non-iCloud account on your iPad.  (iCloud only syncs contacts that belong to the iCloud account.)
To check, open the contacts app on your iPad and tap Groups.  Do you have any non-iCloud accounts listed, such as On My iPhone, Gmail, Yahoo or an exchange account?
Also go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section).  Do you have the Default Account setting there, and if so, what is selected as your default account?

  • Why can I not add custom labels to some contacts?

Some contacts seem to have no ability to have custom labels be added to the label field, while others do. Why is this, and how can I fix it?

I've been so used to working seamlessly from external drives (I had a MBPro 2.2, 120GB drive, tip-toeing around in Lion), that it never occured to me that it would be different in ML on my new Mac Mini.  So, yes, after further investigation, the problem seems to only occur on the ONE external drive which I used all the time for all my video files, photos, music and any other large folders. (I plan to migrate most of it to my main drive now that i have 1GB to play with, so it's a temporary hiccup at least.)  This probably also explains why I have to "authorize" any move or transformation on that drive, but WHY?  It doesn't happen on other drives and I even tried changing permissions to Read and Write for Everyone, to no avail.  Perhaps it's still tied in to the MacBook somehow, but then so would be the other drives.  ???
Anyway, thank you for your time and for making me delve into this further.  At least now I know it doesn't affect the main system.

  • Some contact e-mails don't show up in groups

Yosemite 10.10.2 OS. Contacts v 9. Macbook Air. I just finished dragging some contacts into a group to use for sending group e-mails. When I go to edit distribution list so I can select which e-mail address from each contact I want to set as default, there are a few contacts who are missing some or all of their addresses. I have checked the contacts email addresses and they are all properly formated [email protected], but for some reason they are not on the list. For contacts with no e-mails showing in the distribution list, they not only do not allow me to select a default e-mail, but those contacts don't show up in the e-mail at all

Never mind. Just found the place to change this under settings. What's weird is the setting got changed on its own somehow but weirder things have certainly happened...

  • Some contacts can be found by search but don't show in list view

A few of my contacts (some of them are favorites) don't show up in the list view in my address book just by looking alphabetically. I can search for them using spotlight or the search field at the top of the list and there they are. Why is that? Is it a bug?

Nah. None of those that I looked through on the first 8 pages or so BUT I checked Address Book on my computer and I have the same quantity of contacts listed on my computer as on the phone under "all groups." So, I went hunting around for the missing contacts and, although the last name starts with "Sw," they were listed at the top of all the "S" contacts. Why? Beats me. Makes NO sense at all. They are listed in proper order on my computer. They are marked as "favorite" contacts, but so are some of my other contacts and this behavior doesn't happen with those.

  • Some contacts in my iPod are not showing up in Outlook 2003 after synching

iPod Touch w/ iOS 5. PC with Outlook 2003. After syncing, some of the contacts in the iPod don't show up in Outlook. Any clues? I feel pretty sure I have a setting wrong, but I can't find it!

It will import all of your exchange contacts.  If any are already in iCloud they would be duplicated and you would have to go to icloud.com and manually delete them.  If you still want to import them, do the following:
Go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (any iCloud contacts will still be in iCloud).
Download the app My Contacts Backup.  (If you have more than 500 contests to transfer you will need the “Pro” version.)  Use the app to backup the remaining contacts from your exchange account as a vCard attachment to an email that you send to yourself.  Confirm that you have received the email.
Go to Settings>iCloud and turn Contacts back to On.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section), and set this to iCloud.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap your exchange account and turn off contacts syncing (othewise you will see duplicates of all of them).
Open the My Contacts Backup email and tap the attachment to import your exchange contacts back to your phone, and to iCloud.
At this point all of your contacts should be in iCloud, and you will be syncing them with iCloud rather than your exchange account.  As mentioned, you can go to icloud.com and delete any duplicates if some of your exchange contacts were already in iCloud.

  • I can't send texts to some contacts in my iphone 4s. This is a recent problem, as previously all texts would send. The red exclamation mark appears and 'not 'delivered' shows on screen.

First time I've used this discussion forum, so may be posting problem twice! I can't send texts to some contacts in my iphone 4s. This is a recent problem, as previously I could send texts whenever I wanted. The exclamation mark and "not delivered' shows on screen when I ry and text certain people. I know for a fact that my number is not blocked by the receipients?

I've just realised, further to my earlier question - that the people I am trying to text do not have Iphones? Could this make a difference? (Although I have text them in the past)

  • E72-1 Some Phone book Contacts don't show up while...

    Hello users,
So i came along with a very odd kind of error while using my E72-1 .Since I am a new user of this phone, do tell me if am wrong somewhere.
So the problem is like when i try to forward some message to multiple recipients i type the first few letters of their name in the phone book search box. SO i found out that there are some contacts that don't show up in the list if u don't add their name at the first place in the recipients list. To add them as recipient i have to go back to the message and again select add recipient and then type their name to search. And this time the contact can be seen. this going back and forth for adding contacts is annoying. Instead i wanted to select the recipients in one go by checking the boxes beside the contacts in the list.
Please help me with this bug..and if i'am missing out on something do point me out.
    thank you.

I would reset your pone a million times, you also probably have too many contacts, you need to use the phone correctly, and you need to change it.
Apart from that you could create contact groups and add whichever contacts to those.
That's humor for all You folks, it doesn't get any better then this!

  • My contacts don't sync on icloud on my iphone some contacts disapear on iphone and some contacts hae been merged together to make one contact when they are not related. Can anyone help?

My contacts don't sync on icloud on my iphone some contacts disapear on iphone and some contacts hae been merged together to make one contact when they are not related. Can anyone help?

If you log into Icloud.com, are all your contacts correct there? If the answer is Yes, I would then turn contacts OFF on your phone, and then turn them back on. Do not merge, but replace with Icloud content.
This is usually the quickest way to edit a bunch of contacts, through the web interface.

  • I recently updated a friends iPhone 3 to I cloud , however some contacts have disappeared. These seem to be the ones that were added onto her phone and not her sim. As I have done a sim import. This is the first time she has ever done a back up and sync.
