Notes Duplicating and Disappearing

I'm having a frequent problem with notes duplicating: a not will suddenly appear as two copies, differing by the most recent edit. If I then delete either in an attempt to clear thing up, both vanish! I can reproduce this reliably.
Has anyone else experienced this?

hey roy just letting you know youre not alone out there. i basically have the same problem youre experiencing.
tried both imap and pop, disable/enable "keep notes in inbox", none of these worked.
this is my scenario
i create a note, enter data, press done, it stores it in the notesbox but cant be edited.
so i try to delete that note, it duplicates itself up to 20ish notes that cant be opened, edited and they are all empty on data.
so i relaunch mail and 20 notes are opening up filling the screen, each empty on data, then they all just disappear when i close them all down by alt cliking the green close window blob orb.
can't use notes at all, was one of the main features i was looking forward too in leo. now im looking forward to the update.

Hopefully someone can help, because this is just frustrating and weird. In Mail on Mac OSX Lion, I can create all the Smart Mailboxes I want, but if I try to create a Smart Mailbox folder, it shows up just fine in the sidebar. But, as soon as I close Mail, then re-open, the Smart Mailbox Folder is gone as if it never existed. This happens whether or not I actually put any Smart Mailboxes in the folder. Anyone else seen this issue and have suggestions?

Okay, I think I just discoverd a workaround. This will work if you're lucky enough to already have a smart-mailbox folder that persists after close. (Somehow I had two such folders that already existed and weren't subject to the mysterious disappearances on closing the app; perhaps I created them in a previous OS X release?) Anyway, here goes:
Locate an already existing smart mailbox folder that's working properly. Select the folder (in the sidebar).
Duplicate that folder using the "Duplicate Smart Mailbox" Command. (It's on the contextual pop-up menu or available via the gear icon in the lower left of the window). This should produce and exact copy of the folder and the boxes inside, appearing at the bottom of the smart mailbox list.
Edit the duplicate folder to put the smart mailboxes you want in it, and delete the previous mailboxes (duplicates) that you don't want.
The new folder structure should now persist between launches of the app.
There you go. Not the most elegant process, but workable. Don't know if there's a method if you don't have at least one smart mailbox folder already though.

Scripts: Select an object with a note, duplicating and applying swatch

I am trying to write a Javascript that can do the following:
1) Select an object whose note has <Object Name> (so its layers is also selected)
2) Duplicate the layer of that object
3) Rename the new layer to <Layer Name>
4) Apply a swatch to the object on the new layer (the object is only single colour)
5) Apply a new note to the object (over-writing the original note).
I also want to write a separate script that can do the following:
1) Select an Object whose note has <Object Name> (so its layer is selected as well)
2) Hide all other layers
3) Save a copy of the document with a specific name
I can do this as an Illustrator action. However, I need several different copies of the scripts where the Object Name, Layer Name, Swatch and File Name changes.
Re-recording the action to change the names is cumbersome.
I have looked at the Illustrator scripting reference, but cannot see any commands for select objects by their notes.
I was wondering if someone could give me some pointers on how to proceed (Or possibly, if feeling very generous, could write the script for me )

Notes duplicating and losing. grrr

So I had some notes which were linked to iCloud. But for some reason I can't work out, when I sync to my mac (to backup/do other stuff) it then duplicates my notes, so that they are both in iCloud and on my Mac. Which means when I unplug my iPhone I then have duplicates of my entries on my iPhone - showing notes from both locations on my phone.
In frustration I have thus far kept having to delete one set of notes on my iPhone - usually the set from my Mac. Well today for some annoying reason it split my notes - keeping two in iCloud and moving two to my Mac account (no idea why). So I deleted the two from the 'mac' side of my iphone, to find that they no longer exist on my iCloud (I haven't turned on or off iCloud so it shouldn't have moved from there in the first place).
I'm assuming that I can't restore my old notes and that they're lost?
How has iCloud managed to lose these? Little worrying.
How can I change it so that it stops backing up to my mac as well? I can't seem to do it on my iPhone and I can't seem to do it on my Mac either (running Lion).

Adobe Flash states successful when downloaded, however it will NOT work and disappears?

I've tried numerous time to install, uninstall and install again flash player from adobe. I go to watch a video and it still states I need to update to newest version even after doing so. I'll shut down my computer and when I turn on my computer it's gone. When I go under system preferences it's there and it shows it's sucessfully running, however, it's not. What am I doing wrong, what am I missing?

What I'm trying to confirm is, you downloaded the Flash Player Installer, and you get a .dmg (disk image) file, on your Desktop (or wherever it was downloaded). You double-clicked that downloaded .dmg file, to "mount" the disk image, to open a Finder window with the installer (called Install Adobe Flash Player). You double-clicked that installer to RUN the installer app and install Flash Player. So, just downloading the installer does not install Flash Player... I'm trying to confirm you ran the installer after downloading it.

Not working, and disappeared applications

I have problem with two applications. First, there is an "application" called AirSpace, what I purchased (VU2VVLP9G4K9) on 2011.03.29. It never worked. It's an FTP client. It connects to an FTP server, than it cannot download anything, and not even can change directory on the FTP server. As I read there was only one man who said it's working, I'm almost 100% sure that was one of the "developer". I have the latest firmware on my C6-00 (40.0.021). I reported this two time at the application download page. I have never got an answer... It's just outrageous. I want my money back, and I want make this unusable "application" removed from the store! (I'm using "application" because it is not a real application. It's just a pile of junk code what is not working...)
Second, I have bought the LCG PhotoBook application (7LAQM8WTDL9YH) on 2011.06.18. Since than I have to remove the application from my phone. Now I would like to install again, but I can't find in the store at all. I have tried every lower- and uppercase combination of the "lcg" and the "photobook" string. There was no success. What happened with this application? How can I install it again?

That is one problem of buying applications from OVI Store rather than the developer as it is only a shop front and developer can remove application at any time.

A few of these images had copies in another folder that remained and the ones I couldn't find may or may not have ever had copies. I had backed up my system with time machine recently as well, so I went into the backup to retreive the lost images. When I searched and found the backup copies I got the error "the file alias cannot be opened because the original cannot be located". The crazy thing is that the images that remained on my computer did not give me the same error and opened like they should.
In short images that I am creating, saving, and using are disapearing so epically that even time machine versions are affected when retrieval is attempted. Any suggestions as to what I could be doing wrong without realizing it? Or perhaps other people have had similar bugs that are software related and have a solution?

I understand what you tried to do but it doesn't work that way. Swapping drive names will just mess things up.
You should be able to reconnect the files though: in the Locate Referenced Files dialog make sure you click the Show Reconnect Options button — this will give you access to all the connected drives. Locate one of the files and hit Reconnect All. Should do the trick.

Have you deleted anything from your iTunes library ? Have you checked to see if they are still on your computer, but not listed in your iTunes library ?
If not then do they show in the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage for redownloading ? If they don't show there and others do and they are still in your country's store, then check to see if they are hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919
If they are no longer in your store for redownloading (or you aren't in a country where music videos can be redownloaded) then you will need to copy them back from your backup of your library/downloads.

I see that there have been similar problems with Events disappearing especially in Month View. I wondered how print preview seemrd to be picking everything up deleted or not, and what the solution may be?. First time of Posting. I hope I haven't embarassed myself.

Hmmmm.
At the very least there must be a "com.apple.ical.plist"...iCal would not function without it.
Click on the Finder icon in the dock
Click on Go > Home
Double-click Library
Double-click Preferences
Look for a file called "com.apple.ical.plist" and remove it to the trash.
