Notes History

Hi All,
I am using CRM 2007 6.0 sp4. Im currently trying to figure out how exactly the Notes History operates in the IC,  it seems to be very unstructured where in some cases for a certain account the most recent 4 notes appear and others the most recent 3 notes appear. Also when a note is made in a complaint it overwrites 2 interaction notes in the notes history and sometimes the complaint note does not appear at all. It is very confusing and i cant make sense of it.
Is there any documentation out there that describes the exact functionality of the Notes History function, or is there SAP Notes in relation to this problem??? I cant seem to find any.

Thanks with your assistance with this.
I now noticed that i created a service ticket with a user(user1) and input a note which then appears for that account on the account identification screen, i then update this note with user1 and both notes appear on the account identification screen. this is what i expect to happen, which is great.
However, when i log off user1 and log in with user2 and confirm the account in question the notes do not appear?? Have you come across this??
Is there SAP notes that i may need to implement??
I first thought that it may be user specific, so i logged back in with user1 and confirmed the account but the notes no longer appear in the account identification screen either. It does not make sense.
did you come across this issue at all?

    Within the interaction history section of the WEBCLIENT IC, after confirmation of business partner and IBase,  a "Notes History" link is available. The "Notes History" seems to be collecting logs of notes which were entered within a transaction (order, complaint) for a specific business partner.
    I would like to disable to log mechanism of the "notes history" in the WEBCLIENT IC. Can you advise of the correct steps which need to be executed in order to disable this log mechanism?

    Hello Sander,
    You can disable the log mechanism of your Note type in SPRO.
    Go to SPRO->CRM->Basic Functions->Text Management->Define Text Determination Procedure
    Select Text Object type which you're using.
    e.g CRM_ORDERH which is normally used for Business Transactions
    Select this and click on procedure on left.
    Choose the standard or (customized) text determination procedure which you are using for your process.
    Select this and click on definition of procedure on left. You'll see all note type on the screen.
    There is a column - Changes. If its value is p, it'll log all the historic data there. You can remove this P value and make it blank and save.
    From now onwards, it'll not save any notes into that Notes History note type.
    I hope this solves your problem.

    In View, I want Bookmarks to be the default not History which is what is happening. I don't know why but I like using History but I primarily use Bookmarks.

    Nevermind - I answered my own question, which is I CAN"T READ ANY BOOKS I purchased in iBooks on my MacBook Pro.  If I want to read on my mac I have to use Kindle or Nook.  Which means any book I've already purchased through iBooks has to be read on my iPad.  Kind of a drag because there are times when it's more convenient for me to read while I'm sitting with my Mac.

  • IC Remove views "Note History" and "Last Interactions"

    Hello Everyone,
    I've got a problem within the IC(Business Role IC_AGENT). On the Account Identification view there are two screens, the first screen shows the Note History and the second shows Last Interactions.
    I really would like to remove them from this page. But I absolutely don't know where to do that.
    There is no Overview View which I can configure and I also wasn't able to find a customizing table.
    Does anyone of you knows how to remove them?

    Also, what Business Role are you using?  Are you having the same problem using the SAP standard Business Roles?

  • Interaction Record History & Notes History

    Hi All -
    I have a question regarding the Interaction Record history & Notes History assignment blocks in the IR Work Center Page.
    The IR Work Center page has an assigment block to list the recent interaction records and notes history. However, this component lists only the last few interaction records and their corresponding notes history. (Like the last 4).
    Is it possible to increase this number through configuration? Or does it need to be an enhancement to the notes history and interaction history components?

    Yes, it is possible to increase the number of interaction records that are being displayed.
    The code that is limiting the number of interaction records to 4 is present in the Custom Controller ICCMP_BT_IRHIST/CuCoIRHist. The code is present in the method GET_LAST_INTERACTIONS of the implementation class of the custom controller.
    The below code results in only a few Interaction Records based on the confirmed partner;
    TRY.
          CREATE OBJECT lr_query_service.
        CATCH cx_crm_unsupported_object.
          me->typed_context->btordercusthist->clear_collection( ).
          RETURN.
      ENDTRY.
      lr_query_service->set_query_parameters( it_parameters = lt_parameter ).
      lr_queryres_col = lr_query_service->get_query_result( ).
    If all the Interaction Records are to be fetched from the database, then the search query 'BTQuery1O' needs to be executed. The parameters for partner number and object_type are to be passed.
    Once, result query is obtained, the same collection can be set to the context node BTORDERCUSTHIST of this custom controller.
    Finally, the code to limit the number of Interaction records to 4 which is given below needs to be commented;
    * restrict to 4 result entities
    lr_bo = lr_queryres_col->find( iv_index = 5 ).
    WHILE lr_bo IS BOUND.
       lr_queryres_col->remove( iv_bo = lr_bo ).
       lr_bo = lr_queryres_col->find( iv_index = 5 ).

  • Notes and Notes History in a form

    Does anyone have a sample apex app that collects notes or suggestions about what controls to use?  My current specs call for a new note entry area and a history area of notes displayed above the new entry of notes area on an employee. The notes area would be surrounding other data fields on the employee. I am note looking to "reinvent the wheel" on this one just looking for something that works or suggestions.  TY.

    This is a database thing, not an APEX thing.
    For displaying the history in APEX, just create a basic report region.
    For archiving, you have two options:
    Flashback Data Archive/Total Recall:  see Using Oracle Flashback Technology
    Log table with a trigger.
    Total Recall is an EE add-on for 11.1.0.x through 11.2.0.3
    It is include in EE for 11.2.0.4+ and 12.1.0.1+
    Total Recall isn't for everyone.  However, it doesn't depend on triggers (which can easily be bypassed)

  • How Do I Activate a Previous and a Next (NOT History) Navigation Image/Button?

    RoboHelp 10, using Multiscreen HTML5 layout; Desktop Layout:
    All of my searches result in the same answers, which tell me to insert javascript:history.go(-1) and javascript:history.go(1) into the Link to field of the Hyperlink Properties dialog for my arrow button images in the Screen Layout Editor.
    However, all this does is to enable the user to navigate pages already visited (i.e., history). What I need is for the navigation buttons to just page through all of the topics in the order in which the FrameMaker book's pages go (e.g., page Next from 1 through 868 in that sequence).
    I sincerely hope that I do not have to manually create a browse sequence for over 800 pages, and four levels of TOC, and if I create a browse sequence automatically from the TOC, doesn't that just allow the user to click through the topics alphabetically?
    The vanilla Screen Layout Editor has a 'previous' and a 'next' button, next to the 'print'' icon (which works, by the way). Why don't these browse sequence buttons work?

    Yes, I selected to include four levels, as displayed below:
    The issue, however, is that the sequence navigation buttons (‘Previous’ and ‘Next’ buttons) only allow me to navigate within one level at a time. For example, in the screen shot below, the forward and back buttons only allow me to go back and forward between the two TOC heading level 3 topics (“Application Transfer” and “Time Withdrawal Transfer”).
    Additionally, if I click on a higher-level TOC heading, such as “Introduction,” then click the Forward/Next nav button, the navigation goes to the next (“Getting Started”) level-one TOC heading, bypassing all the sub-heading topics underneath:
    I just want the navigation browse sequence buttons to move through each topic in order, regardless of its heading level. Does that make sense?

  • Table for Delivery Note History of PO

    Dear all,
    I would like to know is there any table storing the change log of Delivery Note. I have to take log on each changed about the delivery date of the Delivery Note and use that in a customized program. Is there any table storing the history of the changes?
    P.S. The Delivery Note is for PO. Therefore cannot get from the SO History. and I cannot find that in the PO history. Can anyone help? Thanks.

    The problem is that this forum does OR logic for its searches.  The most specific you can be is to use only the most unique word you have to use in a normal search.  Otherwise, use a regular web search and specify which site you want to see results
    for.   E.g. in BING or Google you would use the  site:technet.microsoft.com/forums  query term.
    This looks like a very simple case of 'bad engineering'.
    If I am going to have to go out to Google in order to perform a search to get s decent result for a Microsoft database, that really doesn't speak well of Microsoft.
    Sadly however, it really is the case that I get substantially better, more accurate results when using Google then when using Microsoft's TechNet directly - even when the answer is a TechNet forum or knowledgebase article.
    This said, it really doesn't address the question at hand in any way whatsoever.  If you direct your attention to the source question (should be recognizable as it is the big bold letters at the top listed under "Title") the answer being sought
    is regarding finding a way or a person who can "update the product list checkboxes on the left of the Technet search results" - as these, in fact, DO play a role in narrowing out unwanted search results, they are merely being terribly neglected.

  • How can I display ONLY bookmarks, and not History?

    I'm sorry to ask a question with probably such an obvious answer, but I have never been able to figure this out. I want to display all my bookmarks so I can do a search & find the right page. But I always get my entire list of every page I've ever visited. I don't want to delete my history, but I want to only show real bookmarked pages.
    Here's what I've been doing: I select "Show ALl Bookmarks." Then I select a folder on the left under the header "BOOKMARKS." It still shows all the pages I've visited today.

  • Handling Notes: How to track the whole history with filters

    Hello Everyone,
    In SAP Enhancement Package 2 (Including SP12) for SAP CRM 7.0, there is a new function available concerning Text management.
    Within business function CRM_ITSM_COM it seems possible to "Filtering and sorting of the notes history by several text attributes" and also "Classifying texts by tagging a note with up to 8 keywords"
    We did activate the business function required and customized the Keyword customizing point as defined in the SPRO.
    First of all, we cannot add a keyword to a text intothe view of the service request. How the tag is supposed to work?
    In addition, in the following link, Handling Notes - Service Request Management - SAP Library, it says that Notes History log can be filters with some attributes such as :
    Type
    Creation Date
    Created by
    Keyword
    Language
    We are not able to view the filters in our assignement blocks. Only the text type is a criteria. The keywords defined in the customizing are not shown on any blocks (GSTEXT, TEXT or TEXTLOG), and we have no idea on where to add the filters Creation Date/Creation by, etc....
    Has anyone already implemented those changes? Would there any customizing modification to make ?

    The problem has been solved.
    After activating business function, there is a program error handled by OSS note 1796247 - ITSM enhancements - certain functions are not active . Some entries have to be maintained manually in table CRMV_ITSM_SWITCH.

  • How do i erase "history" ? how do i tell firefox NOT to keep history ?

    no details. i know how to do it on desktop/laptop firefox but can't find the solution for my tablet.

    Sorry, but that's for Firefox on desktops or laptops.
    My concern is for Firefox on an Android tablet (Samsung Galaxy 10.1). If you go to "Tools" you get a list of things on which you can act...but not History.
    At this point I have dozens of pages under "All Pages" which I can't erase as well as other dozens under "History" which I can't erase either.
    I want fr Firefox
    (1) NOT to keep track of my searches or addresses
    (2) NOT to keep track of History
    That's what my Firefox on my desktop and two laptops does after I had followed the same path you indicated when I installed it.

  • Podcasts will not sync to Classic

    I'm at a complete and utter loss.
    One day updated podcasts stopped syncing to my iPod Classic.  I've done everything I can think of, google searches, asking friends and can't come up with a solution.
    Here's what I've tried:
    -Checked my anti-virus software
    -Rebooted
    -Restored
    -Uninstalled/Reinstalled iTunes
    -Used a different USB port
    -Used a different connector
    -Tried different settings on iTunes, including selecting manual syncing.
    I don't know if this problem is hardware vs. software.  Right now here's what's happening.  After one of the restores, I deleted all of my podcasts and resubscribed to see if that would help...it didn't.  I can download audio and video podcasts onto iTunes, when I connect my iPod it indicates that it's syncing but my iPod states "no podcasts".  I'm not sure if perhaps the podcasts are in a different folder under My Music, but last I checked the podcasts were in the Music>Podcast folder.
    I don't know if I'm missing some vital step but I'm literally losing my mind trying to figure out what's happened and would love any/all suggestions.
    One other thing.  I ran the Sync Diagnostic on iTunes and it said that no iPod could be found.  This is strange because when I do my restore, all of my old music library syncs, just nothing new.

    Ah! That explains a lot, Video Podcasts are a mystery on the Classic!
    Do you get any messages when you Sync these Podcasts? Some video Podcasts will not play on the iPod Classic and therefore they don't get transferred to the iPod. However, in that situation, I would expect you to see a message telling you something like "Some Podcasts were not transferred to the iPod because they cannot be played on this iPod."
    You can't miss the message, so if you don't see it, the Podcasts must be on the iPod somewhere. However, I've noticed that video Podcasts can be almost anywhere on the iPod Classic, not sure why.
    For instance, I have video Podcasts from different providers which are all in the iTunes U section in the iTunes library - even though they are not "educational." But, on the iPod, some of them are in the iTunes U section, while others are in the Music section. And guess what? The search facility does not find items in iTunes U! I have inspected the videos in iTunes but I'm unable to see why they should be in different sections of the iPod.
    So, first of all, where are these videos in the iTunes library; Podcasts or iTunes U? This may give you a starter about where they are on the iPod and look (obviously) in the iTunes U on the iPod.
    If you can't find them in iTunes U, try looking in the Video Playlists. Note, Video Playlists is separate from Playlists, so if necessary, place Video Playlists on your Main Menu. Even then, in the Video Playlists, all is not simple. Also on my Main Menu is Videos/Movies and some of my rogue video Podcasts are in there!
    Example:
    in the iTunes Library;
    Library/iTunes U/History 106B
    Library/iTunes U/Shulton: Old Spice (adverts)
    both in the same section, next to each other.
    Start from iPod Classic - Main Menu:
    Videos/Movies/Shulton: Old Spice (- only)
    Videos/Video Playlists/iTunes U/Shulton: Old Spice (- only)
    Video Playlists/iTunes U/Shulton Old Spice (- only)
    Playlists/iTunes U/History 106B (-only)
    Spot the difference?
    So in other words, I cannot find these Podcasts all in one place on the iPod - to put it another way - iTunes U in one section has Old Spice but not History, and iTunes U in another section has the History but not the Old Spice! I could go on, the History appears under some, but not all of the Music Menu subsections while the Old Spice is not on the Music Menu at all!
    It's mind numbing! It's one area where Apple doesn't appear to have got it right and unfortunately, I don't think that it will ever be sorted out. Often, this issue can be as a result of how the Podcast producer tags their videos, which may explain why the problem has just started. But how anyone sorts that out is beyond me too because different models of iPod act in different ways.
    So have a good look through your iPod for the missing episodes, good luck, let us know how you get on, do you find them?

  • Not able to change SC after partial rejection

    I am in the process of setting up a Shopping cart approval workflow on SRM 7.0 using process-controlled Workflow.
    We have 2 levels in our process schema.
    1 level: Approval with completion
    2 Level: Approval (Line mangager approves if total value exceeds requestors spending limit)
    If a Shopping cart with multiple line items go for approval, and the line manager approves one item and rejects another, the Shopping cart is returned to the requester to either accept the decision or to adjust the shopping cart.
    However, when the requestor receives the work item in his inbox, he has no possibility to change the shopping cart.
    I have checked the BBP_WFL_SECURITY setting for the requestor: Low (Workflow is always restarted when changes are made)
    I have implemented SAP Note 1397705 BBP_WFL_SECUR_BADI: Incorrect security level in default BAdI.
    Is there any experts who can advise what to do?
    I don't want to copy the existing Shopping cart, just to make some small changes, and then send the new SC for approval and delete the old, source SC.

    Hi,
    reading the note it is clear that in process-controlled workflows it is not possible to change a partially rejected Shopping cart, and have it restart the workflow.
    Is there any workaround to have a restart of the workflow when the requestor changes a partially rejected SC???
    I mean, it would be great to change a Shopping cart based on the Approvers notes, and then resubmit for approval. This way we can keep track of the approval notes. All we can do now is to copy the Shopping cart into a new one make the changes and then go for approval with the new one, but then we lose the approval note history.
    Is tehere anyone out there with a similar problem, who has any ideas or maybe found some workarounds??
