How do I get a word document onto my iTouch?
(have XP SP3)
Unfortunately the only way right now is to mail it to yourself. There is also some 3rd party programs that lets you use your touch as a hard disk, but you can't access the files from the touch then. If you go with the mail-to-myself solution be aware that you cannot edit the word file - only read it.
This is maybe going to change with the app store since there is a lot of people who asks for better PDA functionality - my guess is that there will be some app available that suites your needs in the near future - but again - only guessing here...

How come under the "Library Tab" when I select a specific Channel, some of the Presets effects show as empty files thus rendering them unusable?
No problem at all, thks for your reply. I did not download from the App Store. I bought the full Logic Studio software back in 2008 so I have all the disks.
I did look on the Library/Application Application Support/Logic/Plug-in Settings and there are 26 files listed and I recognize quite a few that i have been using that seem to work OK. But somtimes, as you know you can click on say, EFM1 but then by clicking on that, you have to choose another on of the option effects such as 07 Warped FM and then to Aqua Enchant befoer you can be finished selecting what you need. This is where I run into the lost content. Actually I have a book I' learning from called Logic Pro 8 Beyond the Basics and it hands on exercises to do, the books written well, and I'mn dong well with it, but if you have a major question you must ask, thats when I need help otherwise you can't proceed further.
But back to to The File incons Library/Application Application Support/Logic/Plug-in Setting yes, I do sse the 26 File Folders and the folder icon is Blue which looks correct, however, when I try to open those files, there appears to be no content inside of them. I'm not saying this is abnormal as I dont' really know, I'm just reporting back. So does this mean that the files are in fact missing content?
By the way, some of the plug in settngs in the Library work fine and those files show up as "blue" color but LIbray always lets me know when the files show a white "Zero." in the file.icon. -

I understand you are having issues with a few tracks in iTunes. The best troubleshooting step may be to delete the song from your library, and re-download using iTunes in the Cloud (if available in your country).

how come there is another apple id appears when im about to update the applications that i have downloaded?
When a stranger's Apple ID appears on your Mac in conjunction with an update for an app that you have never installed, you have a pirated app on your Mac. The pirated app is not the app calling for the update. This pirated app has been cracked with the MAS receipt from usually a free app, often Angry Birds or Twitter, acquired by the person whose Apple ID you see.
You may not have realized that it was a pirated app when you installed it. You may have believed that it was a trail version or a "free" version.
All MAS apps have a MAS receipt in their app bundle. Check any app acquired from the MAS. Right click on the app's icon in your Apps folder and choose Show package contents. In the Contents folder is a _MASReceipt folder and in that folder is the coded MAS receipt. It has the Apple ID of the MAS account that bought/acquired the app from the MAS. It is that receipt that the MAS uses to alert you that an app has an update. There would not be a notice of an update with someone else's Apple ID showing in the MAS on your Mac, if there was not an app with a receipt from this person's account somewhere on your Mac.

This app is easier to use and seems to be more powerful than Spotlight. Open FAF and in the box type _MASReceipt and press Find. It should come up with a list of every app on the Mac with a MAS receipt. Compare the apps with receipts in FAF's list with your purchased apps list in the Mac App Store. The odd app out should be the pirated app. -
How come there is no "Safety Lock" icon when you are accessing your personal bank info?
How come there is no "safety lock" icon picture in the tool bar when your accessing personal banking info. On other browsers, it shows that the Internet line is secure (the Lock icon) is in the address line. There's nothing on using Firefox.
Padlock is no longer part of Firefox; it was removed beginning in Firefox 4. The padlock shows that there is a secure connection but does not supply additional information. You could have made a typographical error and still have been connected to a secure connection. The padlock was replaced in Firefox 3 with the Site Identity Button. Familiarize yourself with the Site Identity Button at the left end of the Location Bar:

i updated my iphone and lost all my notes there is lots of important notes, how can i get em back especially that on itunes when i sync my iphone a note appear that there is no back up on icloud,and i cannot restore?
Without a backup on iCloud, there needs to be another device using the same @icloud address that is syncing to the notes. Without that, there is no way to go back in time to create a backup before performing a major update.

Hi there, got 3 issues at once....
1) can't download the latest itune version onto my PC (it simply stops, not even an error message)
2) can't access the itune store and in order to fix this i need the latest version - catch 22!
3) one of my ipods isn't recognised by itune, nit sure if because of the earlier problems?
