Notes in Outlook not synching

Calendar synchs fine. Main body data from Contacts synches fine. But I have tons of notes within most contacts that doesnt synch. My clienteele are schools. Within each school contact I have many individual client s data listed under the notes section. Previously used a Blackberry and all notes within contacts synched fine to the unit but not with my new E71. At least not with my current settings

Raja,
I managed to get the notes by doing this:
1.  Go to Outlook 2011
2.  Tools Menu
3.  Sync Services
     a.  Check the box for notes
     b.  Select the accounts you want to sync (my computer + any email accounts you have)
     c.  Outlook folder to add new items to (I selected my computer)
4.  Go to iTunes
     a.  Select the info tab
     b.  Under "Other" select Sync notes
     c.  Click "sync" to sync to your iPhone
5.  Check the notes on your iPhone
Hope this works for you.

  • Contacts Do Not Appear To Be Synching From Outlook

I turned on the sync contacts option under the Exchange/Outlook Mail settings on my iPhone iOS 8. So far, none of my unique work contacts have shown up on my iPhone with my personal contacts via iCloud.
I'm not sure what else to do. I looked for an option under the Contacts section of the settings, but nothing there seemed to apply.
My Mail and Calendar info syncs perfectly from my Outlook application on my work desktop. Is it possible that my corporate Exchange server does not support Outlook Contact syncing? Are there settings in Outlook that need to be updated?
I did notice Outlook has a Sync Services area for synching with iCloud, but that's not really what I want to do. And my Calendar info syncs fine without this being turned on. Also, my Reminders/Tasks sync perfectly as well.
Is it just a matter of adjusting some settings somewhere, or do I need to look elsewhere for a solution?

Apple used to strive for smarter solutions but that has changed.
After "upgrading" to Mavericks you can no longer sync device to device with USB or WiFi.
This is so stupid! First, when you travel there are long periods of no WiFi or 3G/4G. Second, cloud-based services are still pretty worthless because it's slow. Third, cloud-based services are still pretty worthless because of low security. Fourth, cloud-based services are still pretty worthless because of low capacity (I have a calendar from my first Newton of 1996 and iCloud can't handle the amount of data).
Why would you prohibit safe and fast syncing via USB??? It's just plain stupid!
Do NOT upgrade to Mavericks if you want to keep your safe and fast sync for Calendars and Contacts.

  • Synching Calendars on Notes and Outlook

    Hello,
I have a two PCs (my business and client-imposed), where I run respectively Outlook, (by choice) and Lotus Notes (because I have to) and I wanted to know if it is possible to install PC Suite on both PC's and synchronise each calendar on my mobile phone. I have a 6230i and want to see my appointments from both Outlook and Lotus Notes calendar on my phone.
Will it work or will I have a mess on my hands?
    Thanks for any inputs!

OK, what kind of mess do you think I'll get myself into?
Ideally, I would like to use the mobile phone calendar as the "central" calendar where all updates, (Outlook, Notes, phone) are replicated to the phone and vice-versa.
Example would be that I book an appointment in my Outlook calendar and synch it with my phone, then synch my phone with Lotus Notes. Other scenario would be that I make an appointment using my phone calendar and want to synch it with both Outlook and Lotus Notes.

  • What do I do to get  notes to synch to my Windows 7 outlook.  Before I use ICloud and synched my IPod and IPhone by cable to my PC, it worked fine.  On the ICloud control panel there is no mention of notes but on Notes on Outlook, the cloud is selected

What do I do to get Notes to synch to my Windows 7 Outlook.  Before I began synching my IPod and IPhone to my PC with the ICloud and synched by cable, the synching was fine.  There is no mention of notes on the ICloud control panel but the ICloud is selected on Outlook notes.

Make sure you don't have any notes that have no content or subject or this can prevent syncing with Outlook.  If you do, delete them.
If you don't, try unchecking "Mail,Contacts,Calendars & Tasks with Outlook" on the iCloud control panel for Windows, choose Delete at the prompt (the data will still be in iCloud), restart your PC, then go back and check this setting again.  (Your iCloud data will reappear in Outlook after a brief delay as it redownloads.)
Then create a new note on one of your iOS devices and see if it appears in the Notes folder in Outlook mail after a few minutes.

  • HT1386 Synching Outlook Notes on iPad

I have been able to synch mail, calendar, tasks and contacts from Outlook on my PC to my iPad.  However, notes in Outlook will not synch to the iPad.  I am trying to synch my Notes in Outlook to my ipad via a USB connection. The iPad indicates it is going through the 5-6 synching steps, but no data shows up in the Notes app on the iPad.  Any suggestions.

Try looking at the previous discussions on the right side of this page under the heading "More Like This" with your same problem.

  • Trying to manually synch outlook notes to iPhone 5S

I am trying to manually synch outlook notes to iPhone 5S, but info tab in iTunes keeps telling me that I am synching using the cloud.  The iCloud setting on the phone for notes is turned off and the notes are set to use phone as default account setting.  Why does itunes insist I am synching via iCloud, when I am not? The majority of my notes are created in outlook, and as iCloud only synch iOS created notes, iCloud synching doesn't work for me.
    Thanks for any advice.
    Warren

    Hi Warren Hart,
I sounds like you have syncing turned on in the iCloud Control Panel for Outlook which would disallow you from manually syncing your notes onto your iPhone. You can see the setting in the picture here:
iCloud Control Panel 3.1 for Windows
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455
If you want your notes to sync through iCloud, you will want to backup your iPhone, then turn on iCloud syncing of Notes in your iCloud settings on your iPhone, at which point you will have two accounts in Notes: one for “On my iPhone,” and one for “iCloud.”
If you wish to sync your notes manually, simply uncheck the setting in the iCloud Control Panel for Outlook syncing, and you will be able to sync your notes through iTunes to Outlook.
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Have a good one!

  • W350 help needed - runs out of room synching my Outlook Notes

I have about 50 short notes saved in Outlook Notes that I would like to have synched with my W350 phone.  Trouble is, that when I synch, I run out of room for these Notes at around #40.
My question:  My phone has a 2GB ram chip in it.  If I go to a bigger chip, will I be able to download all the notes?  Trouble is, I am not sure if the phone uses this extra memory for Notes, or if it's in some kind of built-in memory in the phone.  I don't keep music or anything other than Contacts and Calendar items on the phone.
    Thanks for your help.

Hi there, unfortunately notes are sync'ed to the internal memory of the phone. The internal memory is about 14MB so it is limited, I'm not aware of any software to allow you to sync directly with the memory card

  • HT4191 sync outlook notes to itouch?

I am a new user on iphone. I would like to synch my notes in outlook which is on my PC to my phone, using icloud. How do i go about doing it? Please be very specific, step by step. I have already an icloud email account, and an icloud account (I am still confused about the various ids, apple id, icloud id, icloud email, very confusing)

    Hello cavalley
The first thing is to install the iCloud Control Panel. Then you will have a section in Outlook that will have your notes. The articles below will assist with all your questions about Note syncing.

  • How can I sync Notes from Outlook with my iPhone

Calendar, Contacts and E-mail works great, but I live by the notes in Outlook. I switch from Blackberry to iPhone. I am using notes to store quick account info and notes from users while working. When I am back to the office I sync everything with outlook so I can have backup in case something happens to my phone. Any chance somebody developed App that can be used to sync notes between Outlook and iPhone, or even ITunes and iPhone?

I think I solved my problem. Contacts in Outlook have Notes section. I just created another set of contacts and rename that contact group "NOTES". I copied all my notes from notes folder in outlook to this new contact group and now my notes are syncing using exchange active sync just like my regular contacts. Problem solved without any third party application.

  • Office 2013 outlook (not responding) opening attachments over a WAN link

Before I get to the question I'll give you some info about our arcitecture.
We have 7 remote sites each with 5mb connections.
    5-10 computer at each site
We are running exchange 2010 centrally from one server on a 20mb connection.
All clients are running windows 7 64bit with office 2013
We recetly upgraded from office 2003 to 2013 when this problem started.
If a user clicks on an attachment from one of our remote sites, and if the attachment is larger than 150kb the outlook client displays (not responding) for up to two minutes.  If you wait long enough the attachment will open without error.  It
doesnt matter if its a word docuemnt, PDF, JPG they all respond the same.  There are several active application add-ins running I have not tried to disable  any of them yet.
    Acrobat PDFMaker office com addin
Lync meeting addin for microsoft office 2013
    microsoft exchange addin
microsoft sharepoint server colleague import addin
    microsoft vba for outlook addin
    onenote notes about outlook items
    outlook social connector 2013
    symantec endpoint protection outlook addin
I should also mention theres plenty of bandwidth free at both ends of the pipe.  Moving the same file size accross the network literally takes only takes a second or less.
How can I go about troubleshootng this issue further?
    Has anyone else experieced this?
What have you done to fix it?

    Hi,
According to your description, I understand that all attachments in Outlook are opened slowly since updating Outlook 2003 to 2013. Please confirm whether all users encounter this issue. Also check whether the issue continues in cached mode and in OWA.
Based on your post, I suggest we can try to disable the following add-ins to check whether the issue persists:
    Acrobat PDFMaker office com addin
    symantec endpoint protection outlook addin
If there is any updates, please feel free to let us know.
    Thanks,

whenever i connect my iphone to pc while syncing mail in itunes a pop up" the connection is not available.outlook must be online or connected  to complete this action" please suggest me to solve this or bisable.

Cached exchange mode was already marked so that was not the issue.
I have done all the usual of creating a new profile, reinstalling Outlook etc but nothing seemed to work. I also tried going back to Outlook 2007 and reinstalling Windows but same problem.
However, I am not sure if it is connected but I was useing the option in MS Live Sync to synchronise Office settings which I turned off recently and now no longer have the issue. Unfortunately I cannot remember when in the process I did this so cannot be
sure it was responsible - anyone else found this?
