I backed up my iPhone 4s before installing ios7. However I've noticed that some of my notes from the Notes app have disappeared. How do I get them back?

No, nothing will prevent the computer from going to sleep when you close its display except third-party hacks that are designed to do exactly that. I strongly advise against using any of those, as they may interfere with successful entry into clamshell mode (and they carry other downside risks as well). Just wait until the computer is asleep (with its sleep light pulsing), then press any key on the keyboard. It sounds as though your setup is working as it's designed to do.

I am not really sure, if I understand you right. But try this:
Don’t place a picture, but draw a box and use the "Fill" command to put a picture into it.
(Don’t click onto the color swatch, but onto the blue link "Fill".)
In this case responsivness should work.

Connect your devices to the computer with the USB cable (one device at a time) and import the photos via iPhoto or Image Capture.
If you have not changed any default settings on your computer, iPhoto will automatically launch when you plug in the device. Then follow the import prompts.

Restore the device from the backup created prior to the update to put everything back the way it was prior to the update. This will not downgrade the iOS.

Does you router need a firmware update perhaps?
Have you tried rebooting your router? Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again.
You could try rebooting your iPad as well. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

They cannot be retrieved unless you have a iTune or iCloud backup.

How do I recover notes lost due to switching my associated email account on the iPad?

I'm using the original iPad (software version is 5.1.1) and was trying to email a note to a friend. Here is what happened:
1. The email containing my note did not go thru so I went into the email app. I discovered that my email was not connected properly so I went into settings and tried to re-enter the password for my gmail account. I still could not log in.
2. Then I went to gmail on my computer and noticed that there was suspicious activity on my account so gmail forced me to reset my password. Done.
3. Back to my iPad. Logged into my email with the correct password and it still would not work.
4. Decided to change the gmail account associated. Logged in properly this time. Went into Notes and my notes disappeared in front of my eyes and switched to the Notes that I have on my iPhone (which are different). At this point I realized that Apple has some stupid setting that links notes to an email account.
5. Next, I tried to recover my old notes from the original gmail account. Logged in again and this time it worked (I think it took some time for the iPad to retrieve my newly updated gmail password). Notes still did not appear.
6. Back to settings. Selected the Gmail account, turned off notes, and turned them back on. Still no notes.
7. Back to my computer. Noticed there is a Notes folder automatically created on the email account. The note I wanted was the only one not in that folder. Thanks Apple.
Please help!!!

BTW, I believe the reason why the note I needed was the only one not saved in my Gmail "Notes" folder is because it was the only note created after my Gmail account encountered suspicious activity therby causing my iPad to require a password update.
Once I switch email accounts, the note was lost (hopefully not forever) since my iPad didn't have time to receive the updated password info from Gmail and push the latest note to the notes folder.
I'm convinced this is what happened and caused the problem. I just need someone to crack my case for me!

Some notes lost, some notes duplicate

Hi,
i have a problem with my iCloud notes. I sync them via iCloud between my Mac, IPad and IPhone. From time to time i get some duplicate notes with different dates. On each device it is different.
As i cleaned up the Notes i deleted the oldest Version and everything was fine.
Now after a clean Install of Mountain Lion on my Mac some Notes are lost. They were deleted on all devices.
Is there any chance to recover them from my last TimeMachine backup ? Im sure they are also stored local (maybe only temprary) on the Mac.

I replaced it with the one from my TimeMachine backup and i got back my BBQ Recipes...phewww

The Problem is that There Is No Way to Recover an Individual Note or a Group of Notes! It's All Or Nothing!!! I.e. Let's say:
I Accidentally Deleted a Note at 3 PM.
My Most Recent Time Machine Backup was at 1 PM on the same day!
If Restore that Notes Folder from Time Machine, I might get a 2 hours Old Version of the Note that I've Deleted at 3 PM, but I would lose all Other Updates that have occured between 1-3 PM, like
Changes to Other Notes
New Notes
This Problem becomes a lot worse when the Time Frame gets wider! I.E change 1-3 PM to 1-3 Days, Weeks, Months!!!
Apple has to provide us with a Safety Net, like Deleted Notes Folder, ala Mail, iPhoto! Then we can set to Empty that Folder to 30-60-90 Days, or Never!
One should be able to Restore a Single Note or a Group of Notes as easily as Deleted Contacts!
I love having my Notes on Mac, iPad and iPhone, but the lack of such Basic Recovery Option is bad particularly if one is to Trust iCloud for some Important Stuff!!!
I've spoken to some nice folks at Apple Care, and they are looking into this, but so far they haven't offered a solution! I am eagerly awaiting their response and any Feedback here! Thanks In Advance!

Recover Notes lost in a backup

I had a lot of important information written in my notes and lost it during my last backup. Foolishly I checked the box 'replace information on my iphone' with my gmail notes account. Is there a way to recover the lost information from my notes that was only on my iPhone?

If you synced your phone while these notes were still on it and you haven't synced again since they were deleted, you may be able to recover them by restoring your phone to your last backup (the backup includes notes). This will revert your settings and data to those contained in the backup (not just notes) so be sure to save any more recent data prior to restoring). To do this:
Without connecting your phone, open iTunes on your computer and go to Preferences, on the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically".
Connect your phone to your computer, right-click on the name of your phone when it appears in iTunes on the left sidebar and select Restore from Backup, choose your most recent backup to restore from.
When this finishes you can go back to iTunes>Prerferences>Devices and re-enable automatic syncing.

Blackberry Protect - Delete data command executed on new Z10 and not lost Z10

My BB Z10 was stolen and somebody took the battery off immediately. I executed command to display message and delete data using blackberry protect. Command will be executed whenever the thief turns phone on. Afterwards, I restored data from blackberry link on my new blackberry z10 using old blackberry id. When my new z10 phone was up the commands which i sent to lost z10 got executed on my new blackberry! Now I am not able to trace lost blackberry. Somehow same pin got assigned to new blackberry on blackberry protect. Is there any way I can bring back lost blackberry details on blackberry protect and trace it?

Firstly, you must get your current BB using the exact same BBID credentials that were used when your old BB was using BB Protect for backup. To do so, you will have to WIPE your current BB and, when you are setting it up new again, use the same credentials from your old BB. But, take heed of this:
Article ID: KB31489 BlackBerry Protect for BlackBerry smartphones does not display any backup files to restore
If, by "archived", you did contrary to what that KB states, then it is too late...there is no recovery of things that get deleted from the BBID account.
Your situation is a perfect case study as to why BB Protect is a fine component of a good backup procedure, but by no means should it ever be counted on as the sole component.

How to recover notes lost in syncing error

I was trying to sync my notes to my Gmail, but kept getting an error message. I deleted the google account and re-added it, but all of my recent notes disappeared and are nowhere to be found, either in google or on my mac. How can I recover these notes?

Missing contacts:
Here's a test to perform - using a computer's browser, log into icloud.com and go to the Contacts page. If they are gone, then they are gone (must have been a setting during the update to iOS6).
If they show up, then the problem is that your device is not connecting to the Contacts database on icloud.
On the device, go to Settings>icloud. Be sure icloud is on and using the right ID. If not, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Delete Account - this just disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost. Then log back in using the correct ID. ALSO - be sure the Contacts are turned on (on the same screen).
Note: Contacts are not part of an iCloud backup, since they are part of contacts database on iCloud's servers. So performing a restore will not help.
Contacts are gone from icloud.com.
Then they have been deleted. There are many reasons for this. One possibility is that someone else is using the same iCloud account (family member, etc.) and they deleted contacts, thinking they did want them on THEIR device. How to get them back? Unfortunately, an iCloud backup does not include any of the sync databases, like contacts, notes, calendars, reminders, etc. because the data is already stored in these databases. Your only hope for restoring the data is if you had that data on a computer (like a mac's Contacts, Calendars, etc.) and that data was backed up using whatever backup software you typically use (e.g. Time Machine on a mac). Just restore the data files back to the computer. Other than that, I'm afraid the data is gone.

I synced with new computer, lost apps. reinstalled but Office HD docs that we're not lost when I reinstalled will not cut and paste. Will I need to use only new documents to cut and paste?

There are dozens of possibilities, Lisa.
Which C50-A do you have? There is a label on the bottom.
What security applications do you have installed? Webroot is a common offender.
Do you have Microsoft Office installed? If so, which version?
Do you use Bluetooth?
Did you upgrade to Windows 8.1 properly, following carefully the instructions here?

Find a situation that always gives you trouble, so that know when we learn something.
Then see if that trouble occurs after a clean boot.
   1. Open the System Configuration utility (msconfig.exe). You can do that by typing msconfig at the Start screen and pressing Enter.
   2. On the Services tab, set the Hide all Microsoft services check box and then click Disable all.
   3. On the Startup tab, click Open Task Manager, right-click and disable each Startup item. Then close Task Manager.
   4. Back on the System Configuration screen, click OK, and restart the computer.
