Notes made on iphone

Why are notes made on my iphone automatically e-mailed to me? I got 40+ e-mails, stunning.
How can I sync / copy-paste my notes from my iphone to my Mac in .pages format?
Or is it better to sync from notes (iphone) to notes (MacBookPro) first, and copy paste to Pages? Then, how to sync from notes to notes?
Also, I have heard I should be saving the notes on my icloud account. I have created one, but how could you save your notes on the iCloud? And what's the use of my icloud email address??
Thanks in advance.

When I set up my icloud account, (Like Eric said, setting>iCloud) it gives me an email account called [myname]@icloud.com
But what I found in my gmail account were these notes, every time I clicked on 'done' it sends me an email to my gmail account. Can I stop it from doing that?

  • This accessory not made for iphone

"this accessory not made for iphone would you like to turn on airplane mode" message keeps coming up. I select no, I have to unplug and plug back in the apple earbuds, yes the ones that came with the iphone and it will work for a song or 2. Suspecting the earbuds perhaps have a short in them ( yes the right speaker is pretty distorted at volume) I tried to play my songs with no head set plugged in, and I still get the "this accessory not made for iphone would you like to turn on airplane mode" message. This phone is pretty much useless as an ipod, and frankly thats the only reason I bought it. My phone is approximately 3 months old. Is there a fix, is my phone a lemon or am I gonna have to send it out and be out of luck for awhile? Like most people Im very dependent on my phone and music. Thank you

    done211,
The message you are describing occurs when either a device is connected to the dock connector port that is not designed to work with the iPhone, there is debris such as lint in the dock connector, or the dock connector itself is physically damaged.
Connecting something to the headphone port will not cause this message to be displayed.
    Hope this helps,
    Nathan C.

  • Rain + Accessory is not made for iPhone = Need advice!

Just got caught in a really heavy rain shower and now my iPhone is intermittently showing the Accessory is not made for iPhone message. But I don't have anything plugged into it!
I've turned it off, taken the cover off and placed it somewhere dry (it didn't actually get wet at all, just a bit damp).
Any experiences of similar things out there & suggestions?

I had the EXACT same thing happen to me. It's so annoying and I don't know what to do! I hear there is a way to fix it, but your phone needs to be jailbroken.. which mine is not. My bottom water sensor is totally red, so I know taking it to the apple store isn't going to do anything for me. If your sensors aren't red or pink... you should take it in!

  • Accessory is not made for iphone

For Christmas my daughter received a ipod speaker player. One of those speaker systems that you plug you ipod into and you can hear it... external speaker style for your bedroom. Well I plugged my iphone into it to play my music and got an error message.
THIS ACCESSORY NOT MADE FOR IPHONE SWITCH TO AIRPLANE MODE.
now I get this message even thou I'm not plugged into that box anymore. How can I get this message to stop showing up.

I have an original iphone with all update sw/fw, etc. I have never had any problems with my phone. Mine just started giving me this random message as well. It began after plugging my phone into a third party wall charger that was "made for iphone". Now I get that accessory message constantly throughout the day.
Does anyone know how to resolve this yet? Will it help to wipe the phone and reload everything?
Here is what I've tried so far:
-plugged the phone into the original iphone dock and left it there overnight. Restarted the phone in the dock as well.
-plugged the phone in a car charger that works perfectly in the past with no issues.
    -restarted the phone numerous times.
-Plugged the phone into computer and synced it several times.
-'blew' out the connector with one of the computer dust removal aerosol cans.
Thanks for any info. This is driving me nuts.

  • Accessory not made for iPhone! It in the iPhone dock!?

My iPhone has a problem when it is put on its dock and ONLY when its put in the dock it occassionaly comes up with the "this accessory is not made for iPhone..." message.
This has happened 3 times over a period of 7 days- it does not occur everytime the phone is in the dock and it has never occurred any other time.
I have managed to get it to happen twice tonight but half pushing the phone into the dock BUT I can't get it to happen everytime - it came up about 2 times in 100 attempts over 4 hours to see if I could replicate it.
I have not restored it as it is so random I am not sure that restoring it will even fix it - although I will if it gets worse.
I have another iPhone dock I am trying and it has not come up in that dock but again it may not appear for hours or days as its so random!
There are no other problems with the phone. I don't know what to do!
    Any suggestions? Thanks.

I was in the shower when I received a call. I turned off the shower, blotted my ear, and tried to keep the phone dry. I got to my headset (corded one that comes with it), and plugged it in to be safe. All of a sudden I start getting the message you're talking about. I also had had the ringer turned off the day before. I have no idea what caused it, or if any of that was something above that started the issue. I wasn't getting the clicking sound when I turned off the keyboard, and that stupid message kept popping up.
I tried turning off the phone and resetting it, I unplugged and replugged the headphones, and blew the phone's dock connector, earpiece, and headphone jack. I turned ringer mode on and off with the switch. None of this seemed to work.
Then I plugged the phone in DIRECTLY to the computer, just with the cord and no dock. Be-deep. The sound I loved to hear. Sleeping the phone with the top right button now clicked again, and MOST importantly, I haven't gotten the message in the last 10 minutes!!!!!
I'd love to know if any of those situations I listed above was something you had done before this occurred. And I'd love to know if it works.

  • SMS not allowing pictures not made by iPhone in latest update

So I have the 3GS phone on AT&T with iOS4. I take pictures with the camera on the phone as well as another camera (high end) that I carry around.
I was sending pictures today to a friend of mine and the picture that I took from the iPhone sent without error. When I tried to send a picture that I had taken from my camera (that are saved on my phone)... it wouldn't send.
I noticed that when I click on the "existing photos" section and I choose a picture I took from my camera, it comes up fuzzy. Then when I confirm, it takes me back to the text message screen and does nothing.
If I click on the "existing photos" section and choose a picture that I took from the iPhone, it comes up clear and allows me to send (as always).
I've sent this camera picture many times before so I know it's not the picture. The only thing different has been the update.
Anyone else have or ... can duplicate this problem? I'm confused!!!
    Thanks...

Maybe the pictures taken by your high end camera are too big? I'm still on 3.1.3, but I had this issue many times before with pictures taken by the same iPhone 3gs!!! Some pictures were too big in size.
The limit for picture messaging is 300kb.
I noticed that when a picture has lots of details, colors etc. iOS can't handle it (when selecting it from your albums, this is the time when iOS is converting/compressing the original picture to under 300kb[MMS-ready]) and the final size of the picture you are about to send is above 300kb. I actually investigated it few weeks ago.
So the issue you are experiencing is down to the original size and content of your "high end" pictures.
What size are these pictures? ...actually.. I believe you're syncing your "high end" pics via itunes? If so, all those pics are already "shrank" on-the-fly whilst syncing. Still, iOS fails sometimes when converting pics to under 300kb :>
    Correct me if I'm wrong.
Post couple of pics in original size and I'll try to send it via SMS/MMS on my ip

  • Which headset/handsfree are made for iPhone certified?

Hi, I'm doing an application for iPhone that needs capture the button of bluetooth headset/handsfree. After read many links on the web, I noticed that for doing it, the headset/handsfree must be certified by made for iPhone program.
So, anyone can tell me where I can find a list of handsfree/headset made for iPhone?
    Thanks.

Should be fine. Just old iPod accessories you should worry about (as they changed form 10w to 5w. So very old accessories that "charge" could fry your phone if the older 10w ones.
The "not made for iPhone" message is pretty much telling you, it wasn't made with the iPhone in mind so things such as shielding from GSM noise was not taken into account.

  • This accessory not suitable with iphone

Everytime I unlock my iphone or simply check the time I am always getting this message about this accessory not suitable with iphone if you wish to continue click yes but you will not be able to make or receive calls.
Also it does not play music out of the speaker through the ipod function and also does not make a noise when i receive messages despite being on loud.
i have read through other forum posts and tried just about everything it says to do but am still at a loss.
someone please help or im going to get rid of it.

Very aggrivating indeed. All those issues here as well. My Iphone is only a month old. I can't even hear when I am on YouTube there use to be a volume slider and it's completley gone. I am able to hear my phone ring but not txts. The unlock button doesn't sound and I'm sick of the prompt. " this accessory is not made for iPhone" " would you like to turn on airplane mode.
I've hit yes. I've hit no. I have dusted dock. I have removed sim tray. I have called apple who suggested reset. I reset. He also suggested that I plug my ear buds in several times Nd play around with it. NOTHING works. I am at lost what to do. I sure hope there's a good answer right around the corner. Please. If anyone finds out something let me know. Purty please with like whateever u want on top.

  • "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone"

I have a first generation iphone. It recently started showing a message that reads:
This accessory is not made to work with iPhone
Would you like to turn on Airplane Mode to reduce audio interference?
You will not be able to make call during this mode
    YES NO
There is no accessory in the phone. Any thoughts on how to stop this behavior?
I tried reloading the OS and it didn't help.

I was having the same problem and it was draining my battery! After reading a couple of threads I was resigned to take my 1st gen iphone to the genius bar to see if they could do something. Before going to the bar I took off my pics, videos, movies, podcasts, and some applications in preparation for my visit. That night the problem stopped. This had been happening for about 3-4 weeks so I could replicate at will. After removing things from the phone when I tried to replicate the problem it would not happen. So I then started to re-sync things one at a time. After re-syncing everything but the applications I still could not replicate the problem. My feeling is that one of the applications, or combinations of, was causing the issue. I have not re-synced all the applications at this time because I am happy to have my phone back. Hope this helps.

  • Iphone will not charge via usb-to-computer nor via brick; I've tested with two different cables. Just before this problem arose, I got messages similar to "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone."

Most of my concern is in the subject line. I probably should've saved some content to include here. Allow me to elaborate:
While traveling with the tiny brick, I got a message on my 3GS phone that "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone”; however, the charger was working fine with another phone and with an iPad.
I tested alternatives by removing and re-inserting the cable (obviously, as I tested other devices), changing wall receptacles, shutting the phone off (all the way), all to no avail.
When I got home, I plugged a different cable--one that was connected to my iMac rather than the brick--into the my 3GS; it still didn't charge.
So, I'm hypothesizing that perhaps some debris (from a pocket?) got into the charging receptacle of the 3GS and is disrupting the connection. Perhaps there are other hypotheses.
I am reluctant to do a reset, as (a) the problem doesn't appear to be a software issue (the phone and software are all working, though the charge is declining) and (b) I don't want to lose the contents before I can sync it (now that I'm home, again).
I'd welcome suggestions. Meanwhile, I suppose I shall e-mail photos and notes from the phone to myself before I lose the remaining charge.

Try to clean the 30-pin receiver slot either by blowing air into it or using a microfiber cloth. If the problem persists, based on what you've already said, I'd say the problem is most likely hardware, and would need to be replaced or repaired. I hope your iPhone is still under the 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty, or if applicaable extended warranty. You can check by calling AppleCare National iPhone Technical Support at 1 (800) 694-7466.
