Notes not showing up

I looked for a topic about this, but couldn't find it.
I just bought a 3rd gen iPod nano and I'm very satisfied with it (even with the "exceptable tilt"). But I can't get the notes to work. I've got Disk Use enabled, so I can see my Notes folder. There's a file called "Instructions", so that all looks OK. But when I add .txt files, I can't read them on the iPod. Simply doesn't show anything except "no notes".
I've tried all kinds of sizes, even putting them in named subfolders, but they just don't show up.
Anyone got an idea what I'm doing wrong?

Did you enable "use the iPod as a Disk" (words to that effect) in your iPod's setup page in iTunes? Did you open your iPod in the Finder and drag your .txt file into the "Notes" folder? (I use Appleworks and save as a text file). I had lots of trouble getting notes to work. The first time I tried to use Notes, I just dragged my note on top of the iPod icon on my desktop and as a result, the instruction file disappeared and of course my note was not there. I used Appleworks and saved the note as a .txt file just like it said to do, but not putting it in the right place must have messed things up. I reset my new Nano, synced it and then opened it in the Finder and placed my .txt file in the "Notes" folder and "Notes" now works.

It may be the best source of assistance is the manufacturer of the device. I suspect you will need a specific app for the iPhone to get it to work, but the site is rather ambiguous about that.

How do I get Gmail Notes to show up in Apple Notes?

I just got a new macbook pro with Mountain Lion 10.8.2. I am trying to synchronize my Droid phone notes (using Gnotes via Gmail) with the Apple Notes App on the mac book. I believe I have properly set up the Gmail account in the system preferences. If I add a note to Apple notes, it shows up in both my Gmail Notes Inbox, and also my Droid Gnotes. If I add a note in Gnotes on my Droid, it shows up in my Gmail Notes Inbox, but does not show up in Apple notes...i.e. the notes only go one way from Mac book to Gmail, not vice versa. Any ideas?

If the phones are signed in with the same Apple ID under Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, then you should have the option to add that phone number under the same menu on the iPad.

I have an iMac with OS X Lion 10.7.5,an iPhone 5s with iOS 7.1.2 and an iPad with iOS 7.1.2. all software is up to date. My problem is I do not receive all my e-mail on all 3 devices all the time. On the iPhone, go into Settings -> Store and turn off "Automatic Downloads" for Apps (and Music and Books, if you wish). You can also do that on the iPad to prevent it from going in the opposite direction.
That will stop any automatic downloading... to prevent them from coming over when using iTunes, select the phone (under Devices), Apps, and then uncheck "Automatically sync new apps." Again, do the same for the iPad if you wish.

Why can I sync a movie but not TV shows on my nano (7th gen)?

I am using iTunes 11.0 and can sync a movie (Miracle on 34th Street) to my new ipod nano 7th gen but when I try a TV Show (a Planet Earth HD episode) or even a brief video clip taken with my camara I am told that such an action is not permitted on this ipod. So why can I sync a movie but not TV shows on my nano (7th gen)? Thank you.

Before you can sync video files, it must be converted into a format compatible with ipod. If you can’t sync a video convert it by doing the following:
In iTunes, select the video you want to convert. Do one of the following then sync again after:
1) Choose File > Create New Version > Create iPod or iPhone Version.
2) Choose File > Create New Version > Create iPad or Apple TV Version.
I hope this works.

Thanks so much for your reply King_Penguin. No, sadly there is not indication of the expected release date on the film, it's no where to be found. I have also tried to look in other places online, but no luck. I guess your latter statement jives more with my situation, that being the studio/rights-holder hasn't feel inclined to provide the date.

Can someone please advice how to make finder NOT to show files from a specific folder in "All My Files"? See the attach - I recently installed Civilization 5 from Steam and now I have a lot of unneeded files (*.log and *.ini) shown in All My Files colder in Finder.
I don't want to see them. Any advise?

System Preferences>Displays
There is a little white bar. When you have your TV connected, move the white bar to the other display. Your main desktop is now the TV screen

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

In transaction code BBP_PD the status of the workitem is not updating showi

Hi Gurus,
We have implemented N-Step BADI BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI For Approvals Levels in SRM.
Work flow is triggering correctly and workitem is sent at all the levels. But in transaction code BBP_PD the status of the workitem is not updating showing the error message "NO WORKITEM FOUND" also status is not updating in BBP_PD.
Please reply with your suggestions.

We are getting "No workitem found" status in BBP_PD transaction. But all approval process is happening perfectly and when we check status through "Status Monitor " through web it is updating correct status.
Status is updating in BBP_PD .Status of main workflow is displaying correctly and approval levels and corresponding approver names are displaying correctly, but only the status and time of approval is missing.
can you suggest something on this issue.

You may need to try this More than Once... Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
Take your time... Pay particular attention to Steps 3 and 4.
Some users have reported as many as 8 or 9 attempts were necessary before success.
If the issue persists...
Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...

sure pretty simple. make a backup of your current settings

then restore device from old backup you need pics off of
then import pics to computer

you may need to save pics to camera roll first
then restore the new backup and sync pics back to phone via itunes

My phone has been in recovery mode all day and now it's not even showing up in iTunes. What can I do?

It started this morning when i was syncing it to my iTunes to get some pictrues off of it for class and it said to restore it. I've done restore before so I clicked and went along. But then it didnt work at all and came up with error 14. I shut down my pc and turned it back on, plugged it in and after an hour of syncing it worked. Left, went to class and noticed that none of my music or apps were on my phone so after my class i went and plugged it back in again. Thats when everything went down hill. It said the same things about restoring and what nots so I didnt think anything of it. Everytime I tried again it said it would fail with the error messages as 14,2003, or 3200. Now it's not even showing up in my iTunes when i plug it in. I've tried the advice on here but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any ideas?

Here is the answer: go to http://support.apple.com In the search box at the top left type in the number 304996 and hit enter. This will bring you to a page with 4 solutions. Click on solution number 1 and follow the instructions. This should fix it.

I went to Notes. Showed all notes. Three notes are duplicated, one on iCloud and one on Icloud. I deleted one of the notes and checked to see if the other still existed. It did. I deleted the other two notes. I check all notes and found that the three notes were deleted on both accounts. The only notes on this device are under On My iPad.
I went into system settings and tried to delete the Icloud account. The warning comes up: This will delete all IMAP notes on your device. Will this also delete the notes in On My iPad?
