Notes On Mac (Rich or Plain) - Notes On iPhone (Plain only)
Anyone else noticed the mismatch between Notes on your Mac, and Notes on your iPhone? Notes on your Mac can be Rich Text, include bold formatting, coloured text and even images. Whereas Notes on your iPhone can only be in Plain Text.
So, there's an inherent problem there. You sync those Rich Text Notes from your Mac over to your iPhone, but since the iPhone has no Rich Text editing controls, you can't edit that formatting or control it.
Either Notes on your Mac should be restricted to Plain Text only, or the iPhone's Notes app should get Rich Text editing controls. Currently it's messy.

If you use the same Apple ID for iCloud on each device, yes. However, you can use the same Apple ID for iTunes content on each device, but different Apple ID's for iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, etc., on each device. That way, you can have whatever iTunes content you want on each phone, but keep all of the other data separate. You can create another Apple ID here:

my youtube does not work on safari only when i try to play a video it says "This video is not available on mobile add to playlist" But i am using a mac air 11 inch it is not a mobile. The file may be damaged or may not be a movie file that is compatible with QuickTime Player. when i try to open a video on youtube on safariI too am having the same issue as the OP.

Every webserver that receives a request from your browser is able to determine the HTTP USER AGENT information unless it has been removed by some software (e.g. firewall) before the request was trasmitted. -

I deauthorized my PC and have authorized my Mac...it just won't synch. Help!!

I'm having trouble with a sync alert. It's not clear to me if the default sync for calendar is my iphone (3G) or my mac (shows 82 modifications). I want it to default to the mac but the wording suggests the iphone. Anybody know the default device and if it can be and if the other can be selected if desired
Also, I don't see any way to do the sync on an individual entry basis for calendar. Looks like it will only do all of them at once. I'd like to go through them one by one to confirm which entry is correct.

If that won't work, perhaps you can use Find my iPhone from a computer in your iCloud.com account to erase the device.

This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone. -
Q. 2: Powerpoint for Mac 2011 Version 1 How do I get PRESENTER VIEW to work so I can see my notes and the audience only sees the slide show? Currently PRESENTER VIEW shows up on the flatscreen and my laptop shows only the slide show....?!
As PowerPoint it a Microsoft product, you may find that you get better answers to your question on their PowerPoint forums.

I successfully synched photos from my mac book iphoto to my new iphone 5 (icloud did not do the job). Now these photos appear on my phone in three places--iphoto app, last import, and photo library. Does that mean that they take up three times the memory? Will that affect iCloud? Sorry for the end-user questions!!
HHi, thank you for the reply. I have checked my iPad and iPhone and neither has iCloud Photo Library (Beta) enabled. Turned off in both. Photostream is turned on.
i tried to sort it out by dragging all the photos to Events on the Mac and then deleting them from iCloud - (left hand side of iPhoto under the section 'Shared'). the photos now show up in Events. I did force quit but the issue remains. The message reads ' photos are bing imported to the library. Please wait for import to complete.'
i can't empty iPhoto trash either. The message read "Delete error. Please wait for import to complete.'
WHen I was moving the photos to the Events I always had a message about duplicates - to the effect that the photos already existed, did I want to import them? I clicked on Yes, import all duplicates. But when it showed the images - duplicates side by side - one showed the photo and the other was blank.
I really don't know what to do! And I don't know how to handle my iOS devices. Is it to do with the large number of photos? Any help, advice appreciated. -
I have Lion on my laptop and I want to back up my calendar TO my iphone. Not the reverse. iCloud only goes from iphone to iCloud to mac not the other way. Also, why doesn't "sync" mean update most recent changes across all devices? I thought that was the point of iCloud. Any suggestions since iCloud doesn't seem to work?
It's a work computer so I wanted to save them to my iTunes so I can access from another computer. Should I go to a home computer and just Import for best results? If so how do I do this? Also, why would I be synched with another library and how do I find out what this is? Very new/green user here

Simple question : How do I get the Notes in Mail.app on my mac to sync with the Notes app on iPhone?
Unlike all other PDA's you cannot sync notes between iPhone and your computer without third party software. This is a glaring omission for such great device. I hope Apple will eventually realize this and provide a software upgrade. I suggest you send feedback to:

Facetime - iPod Touch and Mac can be done. Why not on iphone?

I was wondering if Apple will enable an option to active iphone`s facetime through Apple ID to solve theses problems. It can be done on Ipod touch and Mac, why not on Iphones?
Does anyone have a clue?Reboot computer. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both home and power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. This usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Click the Restore button of iTunes. If still problem, all iPhone 4S have full Warranty. Make Genius reservation and take to Apple for resolution.

When I create an event on my mac ical then sync to my iphone, I cannot later edit the event via my iphone. I used to be able to do this before. Can someone please tell me why this option does not exist anymore? I have iphone 3Gs and can't use iCloud due to older running system on my macbook pro.

Yes. You can't update or restore any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone. The sim card need not be activated, but it must be valid & present. If you want to update, you need to get a sim card. -
Notes on iPhone and iCloud, but not on Mac's Notes
I have notes that I've created on my iPhone and they've all been created under one account, my iCloud account. I can see all the notes when I go to iCloud.com but I can't access them when I open the Notes application on my Mac. I only see a select few of the notes from iPhone/iCloud.com on the Notes application on my Mac. How can I go about getting access to the rest of the notes from my Mac? And yes, I have iCloud set up on my Mac so I don't understand why this problem is occurring or how to fix it.
Go to System Preferences>iCloud, uncheck Notes, choose Delete from Mac (they will still be in iCloud), restart your Mac then go back to System Preferences and check Notes again.
