Turn off iMessage on the iPhone as should have been done prior to switching devices.
Settings > Messages > iMessage > OFF

what method are you using? Firewire, ethernet, wireless? I'm assuming you are doing this via Migration Assistant. You can't speed it up if it is in process, but you can use a faster method if available to you. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4413

Is it possible to access the Public Folders in Exchange 2013 during a migration from Exchange 2007 to verify the files are there?

This is a migration from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013. We're in the middle of migrating the Public Folders. Is it possible to configure a database to point to the Exchange 2013 public folders so I can verify the data before the final cut?
If so what are the steps to do that? Thanks in advance.

To my knowledge no. It's an all or nothing thing with public folders.

How can I rollback from Yosemite to Lion? I need to do this as I purchased a newer iMac and I have the old 17" iMac HD that I want to get the data migrated from. When I start the Migration Assistant it tells me that the OS X version is too old. Help!

I have purchased a newer mid 2011 iMac for my wife to replace her dead 17"iMac from 2006. It was running Snow Leopard. The new iMac has Yosemite and when I go into Migration Assistant it tells me that the OS X is too old, implying that I cannot get the data from it. How can I migrate this data to the new iMac? I have the hard drive removed and in an external enclosure connected to the new iMac.

Since any OS since Lion does not support Rosetta or PPC applications, you may want to check her apps for compatibility.
Have you tried to follow all the instructions here:

Also, as a general note: when you got the 2011 iMac did it have the original OS installed as required by the SLA? The seller is to remove any OS version obtained at the app store since the license is not transferable - did he do that? If not, as the OS download is tied to the Apple ID used to obtain it, you will not be able to update apps or reinstall the OS, so may I suggest you do this step now before you start porting over all the files. Use Internet Recovery: Hold Command + Option + R while restarting/rebooting until you see a spinning globe and a progress bar. After 2 - 10 minutes, you'll be connected to Apple's servers and see a Utilities window. Go to Disk Utility and choose erase your drive; once finished, go back to the window and choose to reinstall OS X. This should install a fresh original OS version which you can then update and tie to your wife's Apple ID.

Connecting to a TV is no different than connecting to any other external display. It's possible that there's a problem with the mini dvi port on the macbook r that you have bad adapters. You might try resetting the SMC Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) - Apple Support
Does the Macbook recognize that there's an external display connected when you look at the Display preference pane?

Migration from imac to ibook keeping the files intact on imac.

I have just bought a second hand ibook g4 osx10.4 and want to migrate some of my apps, documents and other files from my imac osx10.4.11. I will still be using my imac so want to know if its safe to use the normal migration procedure or will it delete the files and apps from their original place on the imac.

Some clients migrated from 2007 is presented with the self signed certificate in 2013

I have migrated from 2007 to 2013. I did a couple of test migrations and on the ones with domain member computers Outlook is giving a certificate warning. The certificate they are presented with is the default self signed certificate on the 2013 server.
Even though I have added a trusted public certificate to Exchange and checked of to use With IIS.
I see that the default certificate is also checked of to use With IIS and it cant be removed in ECS. Shouldnt this be removed from IIS all together when adding a New certificate? And why does some Clients gets presented With the self signed and some With
the Public? For instance owa is presented With the Public cert. Also and Outlook I tested from outside the domain.

Only the UCC certificate should be bound to IIS.
Are any clients using POP or IMAP, which also use SMTP? In this case clients can be presented with the "wrong" certificate as well.

IDVD Sound Not Being Migrated From iMovie

I created a movie in iMovie, then shared it with iDVD. The audio is fine in iMovie, but in iDVD it is silent. I tried exporting my iMovie to Quicktime and the Quicktime movie gets generated with the sound without any trouble. Does anyone have any idea what is going wrong here?

By any chance have you muted the sound in your iDVD project? Check the slider bar below the menu display.
Also, instead of sharing to iDVD, try dragging your iMovie project icon (the one with the star on it) into your iDVD. Just drag it to the edge of the iDVD display screen, or you can put an Add Movie button onto the menu screen and drag your iMovie icon to that button.

Can I use Migration Assistant to migrate from a hard drive on the same computer?

I have a Mac Pro with spaces for four hard drives.
I currently have only one hard drive, with Mac OS X 10.6 on it.
I am getting a new, second hard drive (a Solid State Drive). I want it to be my primary drive, to install Mac OS X 10.6 on that and use that as the startup disk.
I want to leave my original hard drive in the computer as a secondary drive.
I understand that the Migration Assistant can only import settings from another, separate, Mac? Is that true?
Or is it possible to tell Migration Assistant to get the settings from this older hard drive, even though it is on the very same computer?

MA will transfer your current system preferences to the SSD regardless of where they come from.
BTW, you will need a special mounting sled for the SSD. You should find them at OWC.

Migration from planning 3.5 to the latest one

I want to understand the process to upgrade the current version ( 3.5.1) to the latest one ,

Hi,
This has been covered so many times, use the search and you find lots of examples
Here is a quick summary
The steps I usually take are (I am basing this on version 9.3.1 but it still applies for version 11) :-
Create a fresh planning application on version 9.3.1 make sure the admin is the same name as your old 3.5.1 planning app
Go into the oracle tables for the planning app and look at table HSP_USERS, store the SID value against user 50001
Go into the oracle planning system tables and HSPSYS_APPLICATION, clear out the version field for the application in question.
Stop Planning
Drop your 9.3.1 Planning App schema and Copy your old 3.5.1 planning oracle schema into the same locatiion
Go into the HSP_USERS table and update the SID for user id 50001
Start planning
Go to planning web and you should see your application when you try and log in it should take you to a migrate screen.
