Notes problem

Hi, hope someone can help
Problem is
Been using notes for weeks, sync'ed iPad with pc and I tunes, went to notes on iPad to see all 8 still there but then disappear before my eyes.
I have yahoo email, everything seems switched on
Please help

If iTunes created a backup when you last synced the iPad - this very last sync that you describe, your notes should be in that backup. That's where your notes are saved - in the iPad backup. You could try restoring your iPad from that backup and see if the Notes restore to the device.
If you decide to try this, turn off auto sync first so that iTunes does not sync the iPad before you can restore from the backup, launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices>Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from automatically syncing (check the box at the bottom of the window and click OK.) Quit iTunes, connect you iPad to the PC, launch iTunes and then right click in the iPad on the left side under decides and select Restore from Backup.

Seems that way. I think I am going to have to give in and spend hours on the phone with Apple support. I don't want to, but I am at a loss. I will share any discoveries...

I would like to use my work exchange email on my macbook pro. But I cannot insult it. I have not problem as on my iPhone or iPad. My work IT person does not know what is wrong.

Try going into System Prefereces then Mail, Cintacts & Calendars then click on the Microsoft Exchange link on the right. Type in your email address and password and allow it to set it up automatically.
Make sure your Mac is updated to the newest version of Mail.
If that still fails then I suggest you switch email clients. I don't care for the built in mail program. IMHO it is very buggy.

Ipod touch 1G (3.1.3): notes problems+disconnects when i check 'sync notes'

Hi everyone, I got this ipod touch 1G and recently upgraded it to the 3.1.3 firmware. Lovely update to the clock and the calculator, but it screwed my notes!
First thing i noticed was that I couldn't open many of my notes; it returns to the home screen when u tap on a note. The notes that could open, opened up to the wrong note! (select note A: note B opens up!)
second thing i noticed was that I could no longer WRITE any notes. This is a major problem for me. New notes just don't get written and i am ejected to the home screen again.
3rd thing: cannot delete existing notes.
4th when i check 'sync notes' in itunes(9.0.8), it just refuses to sync when it reaches notes, saying that "itunes could not sync notes to the ipod because the ipod disconnected"
Have tried:
Restarting itunes +doing hard restart on ipod touch. <fixed the sync notes option unchecking itself.
Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance!

Mail and Notes problems in Mavericks

I've just installed Mavericks and I'm instantly having problems with Mail and Notes. To wit:
1) Prior to the upgrade, I had dozens of messages flagged. Now, almost no messages show up as flagged.
2) Some Smart Mailboxes now only display only a handful of messages, when before the upgrade some of those boxes contained dozens, if not hundreds of messages.
3) Now that Notes has been separated from Mail (I skipped Mountain Lion altogether) I can't get my iCloud notes to sync to the new app.
Any guesses or advice?

Link to online web service or set up my own? Clip Notes Problems

I am looking for some kind of hard drive/server kit for hosting my own videos. I want send my clients links to their projects at certain stages, but not through YouTube. I have no idea how to set that up. I saw an ethernet/USB2/what-have-you Buffalo drive that I could supposedly serve from and store my archive files. Is that the way to go or is it better or more cost-effective to go with an online service?
By the way, I could not get Clip Notes to work. In fact, it crashed my computer (or Premiere anyway). I should be able send direct from the timeline, correct? It didn't do that. Instead I had to send it to myself first - save to hard drive, and then email it to whomever. I don't see how it could work anyway. I can't email a 20 MB or bigger PDF file, can I?

Running your own server would probably be much harder than setting up a page through a commercial-grade provider. First and foremost you would need to set up a server-class OS and webserver system (such as Apache running on a Linux kernel). Security becomes a big issue as you almost certainly *will* come under fire by bots looking for servers to infect. So, you'll need to learn Apache, setting up CGI, Perl and other scripts and firewalls to protect your investment. Then you still would need to set up a page with a secure entry shell to allow your clients in without letting others in (to protect NDA protected material and preventing other clients from "peering over your hsoulder" as it were).
Also, if you have internet provided by Comcast or Verizon (or similar end-user broadband), those plans *explicitly* disallow use as a server and they most likely would shut you down if they detected the presence of incoming HTTP routing on port 80, and doubly-so if you are running a commercial website for the benefit of your business. They have specific "enterprise class" broadband packages but they are typically more expensive (often twice as much as "home" packages) as they provide more consistent and reliable speeds and are usually synchronous rather than the typical end-user asynchronous broadband (ie end-user is 2Mbs down and 300Kbs up, where enterprise class would be 4Mbs down *and* up). The benefit being that people visiting your server are getting full speed *from* you as well as *to* you, and also they typically provide more robust mail packages.
Serving your own content from home is typically an expensive and extremely labor-intensive prospect, as you will almost certainly need to learn Linux/Unix as well as apache, and maybe also a robust FTP client and mail server. Serving from Windows XP or Vista is highly discouraged due to enormous security problems and downtime issues. Learning CGI, Perl and so forth is daunting at first and (if you're like me) you probably want to work on graphical content more than laboring over server duties and security details.
Subscribing to an enterprise-class hosting service can provide you with a robust, professional-looking website with almost no knowledge of HTML, CSS, Perl, CGI or other technology, and most provide a wide array of "extras" like secure password-protected content for individual users, CGI bins, mail hosting, extensive arrays of scripts to use (such as blogs, forums, online updating, user statistics, traffic analyses, etc) and many also provide simple tools for setting up your site with easy-to-use templates and so forth. I have used 1-and-1 hosting and they provide excellent service with highly-rated uptime and security as well as a ton of tools and software for site building. Typical packages for decently rated monthly bandwidth can be had for around $10 to $20 a month which is a fantastic value, compared to spending upwards of $100 a month for hosting your own server and the countless hours of set-up and daily maintenance.
Depending on the services you subscribe to with a provider, many probably have compatible systems for allowing you to publish directly to your website via common protocols and tools (using FTP or VPNs (virtual private network allowing for remotely mounted network drives)). You may need to do some research and homework, but the end result would be a very seamless work environment where you can share results with clients quickly and easily, and also allow them to comment, share notes and upload assetts for you to utilize if necessary.

Persisting Cut-off or unplayed notes problem in Logic Pro X

Hi Guys,
I've been having this persisting problem in LogicPro X. Let me just explain it here, I have a MIDI file which i got from the net, i played it in my piano role software and it was fine, but one i just imported the midi into Logic and just exported it straight away( just for experiment purposes), the notes became cut-off( example of cut-off? Ill send you the MIDI which i got on export from LOGIC aswell) when i played them in the piano roll software, and if i import and export the same MIDI in another software its fine, its just trhat ive grown accustomed to Logic Pro and i really enjoy it! I find FL studio and all those things annoying, so thats why i wondered if you guys could help me get a fix. And if something is wrong with my Logic just incase - if you guys give me your email address i will send the midi to you and can you just export it from your software and send it back to me? If the MIDI plays fine could you tell me your Logic Pro settings and such and such thanks! -And FYI if i re-open the exported MIDI in Logic its plays back fine! Im getting really annoyed and confused

You might want set up a key command for "paste at original position". My key command is command/option/shift/p. This seems to work flawlessly. Unfortunately I have run across the bug you're refering to.

Mobileme & notes problem

I can´t get my notes to sync with mobilme. I think the problem is in mail properties. According to this tutorial : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4231 I am supposed to check "mobileme" in "create notes and to dos in:"
The problem is I can´t choose "mobileme". I only have the options "on my mac" and "myname".

Problem solved. At first I did not dare to erase my account, but later on It was my last option. Said and done, I erased the account, created a new one and....boom, there it was. (the mobileme option in the scroll down menu)

Messages received before september 4th are not more readable. However , not problem of reading for incoming messages for yesterday and today. How can I recover old messages ??ges dated

Hi , All my incoming messages up to September 4th on one of my mail accounts are impossible to be read again !! When I 'click" on any of the messages a blank window appears instead of the text..!! However , all the incoming messages received yesterday and today are perfectly readable.
How can I solve this problem ?

Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.
If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist.backup

K3 Note - Problems with Contacts within Phone

some of my contacts are listed simply as 07xxx xxxxxx and others as +44 7xxx xxxxxx. If the sends phone is set to send as a +44 but I have them saved as a 07, its not clever enough to realise its the same number, so I am having to save each contact with both numbers, so that there name comes up when phoning or receiving a text. Any way Around this ?

Lotus Notes problem

I administer 4 MACS. All are on OS 10.4.9 and we’re all forced to use Lotus Notes. We are running Notes 7.0.2. All 4 have been running Notes 7.0.2 for about 6-7 weeks with a qualified OK (still have corruption problems when sending attachments), but recently, Notes on one started crashing every so often (too often), for no consistent reason I can determine. (Not the computer I use, and getting certain specific details from a “not-too-sharp” user isn’t always the easiest thing! At least this user is good about keeping her e-mail files read and dumped or filed – better than I do!)
Anyway, I figured there must be some corruption somewhere, so thought I’d scrap the whole program and reinstall / reconnect. I copied a few key files (like user ID) to a zip drive, and proceeded to search for and delete anything related to Lotus Notes – Notes, etc. Upon trying to start up after a reinstall, it’s still looking for the preferences file (which I also copied to the zip drive). When I gave it back, it then wants to look for the Data file. Even when I guide it to it, it’s still not happy.
Does anyone know of any file related to Lotus Notes that doesn’t have “Lotus” or “Notes” in the name? There’s obviously some file I haven’t found that’s not allowing Notes to get a totally fresh start.

Sap Note Problem

I am applying Note in Sap , if i apply note in development server and make its request and transport that request to
production server then it is showing me error but if i apply the same note in production it is applied successfully/
Its a matter of production server so i don want to take any risk and want to update note via request only , the error
which i am getting is
R3TRPROGJ_1I_CHALLAN_TOP was repaired in this system.
same like above in 7-8 objects, please suggest how to remove this probelm ??

In my opinion, its a big problem as it will make the system landscape workbench objects unequal.
so it always better to keep the clients throughout the system landscape equal. To ensure this you must apply any patches/notes first to your development(Sandbox is fine if u have one) and then move it to Production Via Quality.

Sticky notes problem, Acrobat reader

Hello, I was unable to find an answer to this question in old discussions therefore I have to ask it.
I am preparing pdf file with multiple comments for print. On some pages I have more than one comment and I can't have them all open at the same time. As soon as I try to open second comment first one opened closes. Are there some settings that I can adjust to have multiple pop-ups open at the same time? Is there any limitation to the number of comments opened?
On additional note, this problem seems to be inconsistent: at some pages I can open 4 comments at the same time and at some other ones can't even open 2.

Use the Comments List. Click the undock choice on the Comments List.
Select a comment in the List and the annotation on the PDF page will be given a highlighting effect around its boundaries.
