Notes sharing

Hi there!
Does anyone know how can I share a note with another icloud account? Not via email or iMessage.
My wife and I would like to have access to the same note and make changes to it and then have it synced between our devices.
We each have our own icloud account.
Thanks,
Ionel

Notes are shared and synced by imap mail servers. Any servers, not only icloud. You can create any mail account, say Yahoo. Add that account on your devices and turned notes on. Next time you go to notes app, when you click notes - you will see accounts. If you choose you can click yahoo and anyone who has that account setup will share notes with you. If you choose icloud or on my iphone/ipad you will either have those synced to your icloud account(synced over your own devices only) or just saved to that phone, without replication.
Usually people come back here and say it is too complicated, but so is the nature of anything with knowing how to use your phone/computer. You learn how or you lose your info, with every transfer from one device to another and iphone life span is not as long as computer's. Good luck.

  • I have both my iPhone and iPad backing up via iCloud, but they are not sharing the information between devices ie if I purchase an app on one it does not transfer to the other although the backup is successful via iCloud.

I have both my iPhone and iPad backing up via iCloud but the data is not being shared between the devices. When I backup it appears to be working as there are no error messages but the data is not shared between each. Any help would be great as this is very frustrating.

Backing up to icloud is not the same as syncing data between devices.  Go to
Settings>Store.  Turn on the automatic downloads that you want on that screen.
Settings>iCloud.  Turn on the features you want to sync between devices.

I have two ipods in my house that were set up under the same email.  I have since assigned two different emails.  How can I change the game center account so that is not shared by both ipods because it is for two different users and they are not happy?

By "game center account", do you mean Apple ID?
If so, you can change it.
    1. Tap settings and navigate to iTunes and App Stores
    2. Tap "Apple ID" and then tap "Sign Out"
    3. Log in with a different ID.

Family sharing not sharing payment information
We have two iPhones on iOS 8. Previously my Apple ID was logged into my wife's phone for iTunes and app purchases to share purchases (she's had her own apple is for iCloud all along) . I set up family sharing, on my phone first. I'm the organizer. I invited my wife, switched her Apple ID in settings in iTunes and app purchases to her own Apple ID. Both of us can see we are in the family in iCloud settings. But in the iTunes part it looks like normal, with seperate accounts. If we view purchase in the App Store both accounts are listed (and looks like both accounts show all the same apps that I've purchased previous to setting this up).
    Is that right?
More importantly when I go to make an iTunes purchase on my wife's phone, it doesn't try to use any shared payment. It wants to update HER credit card on her account.
My phone says the credit card is shared.
What setting have I missed here?
And I keep seeing this question asked but no clear answer. Will she loose access to any apps or music purchased before the family? They all show under her account now. Apple said somewhere that a legacy account would be allowed. I'm afraid to play too much with it after hearing people are getting locked out for a year.
    Thanks for any help!!

Your purchases will be charged against the Organizer's charge card on file, but they will reside under the Apple ID that you are purchasing them under (so if later, you were to leave Family Sharing, they would be "owned" by your Apple ID). If you have a gift card on file for your Apple ID, it will take the funds from the gift card first before going to the Organizer's charge card, but the entire set-up of Family Sharing is one that is designed to charge all purchases against the Organizer's card on file.
How is the set-up invasive, exactly? Family Sharing is primarily designed for families, especially ones with small children. The FAQs and ad pages are very clear about the fact that the Organizer pay for all purchases:

    Hi Uzi,
It seems as the HP Smart Install feature is trying to reinstall the printer upon each restart.
Try following this tool by selecting Disable to turn off Smart Install for the printer:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=Im-129228-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en...
Next reboot the PC and try printing again, as well check if any prompt appears or not.
If you still experience any printing issues, try following the HP Print and Scan Doctor below and check again:

My iPad 2 won't receive text messages and is not sharing any data with my iPhone 4. Please help!

The iPad receives Text Messages through Apple's iMessage feature. Make sure this is turned on on your phone. Also, text messages received at your phone number are not shared with the iPad. Make sure that iMessage texts are being sent to your EMAIL ADDRESS

Adobe Connect: how to display a picture in the WebCam pod when not sharing video

The WebCam pod can pause a live video showing a static image. However, I believe that you are looking to use a Share pod, where you can upload a JPG or PNG image. Just place the share pod with the image where you would have the Camera pod.

spill water on my Iphone and I want to recover photos on my Ipad The pictures on the Iphone were not shared with other apple devices is it possible get my photos from the iCloud ?

Had you set your iPhone up to use Photo Stream?
Had your performed an iCloud backup of your iPhone before it was damaged?
If you did neither of the above, then your photos are not in the cloud, and they are gone.
If you performed an iCloud backup, then it would contain the photos in the iPhone's Camera Roll (taken on the iPhone) at the time of your last backup.  You could restore this iCloud backup to a device.
If your iPhone used Photo Stream, those photos are immediately accessible to your iPad if you set it up to use the same Photo Stream.

  • Sysvol was not shared\replicating after the DCpromo windows 2012 R2 datacenter

SYSVOL does not shared\replicating after the DCpromo windows 2012 R2 datacenter, and the partner DC is 2008 R2 Standard.
both the forest & domain level is Windows2008R2.

First glance they cannot communicate through RPC, you might need to review the firewalls configuration.
    Some info on this topic:
    Active Directory Replication Over Firewalls
Restricting AD Replication Traffic between DCs to only a few ports
Another option would be a site to site vpn

  • Network account public folders are not shared?

Ok - I have posted before... but I have done more looking and have confirmed:
When I log into my mac using a network account, my public folder is not shared for guest users. I have set the permissions for my Public folder: chmod -R 0777 /Public but this does not help - the share is not visible. I can only imagine that there is a config file somewhere... maybe accessible through netinfo? Does anyone have any idea?
    Thanks,
    Davod

    Heh... no problem.
Well, I am the network administrator.
Since the network account(s) I am referring to are MS Active Directory accounts (opposed any other LDAP or OS X Server Open Directory accounts), there is no other NetInfo database other than what is local to the Mac workstation.
I don't know why Apple thought it was more secure to lock down file sharing like this. I say that because the alternative (that I have seen in practice anyway) is to have all users run as an admin account all the time. Then when users want to access a coworkers files over the network, they are sharing thier (admin) account passwords to do so. It just seems really backwards to me is all. Run as least privilege. I always thought that was computing 101.
Anyway, this question is expanding, because there are scenarios where a user will get external hard drives from a client, and plug them into thier Mac. THey may want to have a coworker access some of the files on these drives for assistance with the job or whatever... but the drives do not show up just as the user's public folder does not show up.
Has anyone had good luck using a Preferences Panel applet called SharePoints? It seems like it could help me to solve this sharing dilema...
    Thanks...

  • HT5372 Is iCloud tab not shared with Windows PCs with Mac or iOS operated devices?

Is iCloud tab not shared with Windows PCs with Mac or iOS operated devices?
I have iPad mini with iOS 8 and a PC with Windows 7 .
I'm trying to set up iCloud. and installed on both but can't see shared devices.

I think you have to use internet explorer to login to icloud.com on your windows pc to see the content.

  • Find My Friends stuck not sharing my location

After updating from iphone 5s on IOS 7 to iphone 6 on IOS 8, Find My Friends is stuck not sharing my location.
    I can see others
    I can see MY location
"ME" at the bottom shows "Location Services Off"
    Location Services ARE on
I CAN share my location in an iMessage
Clicking "me" in FMF shows the "Share my location" slider as enabled, but grayed out so I cannot change it.
Caveat: I think I did have my location disabled before upgrading.

    On iOS 8.1:
    -Settings > Privacy > Location Services >
          ‘Location Services’ set to ‘ON’
-Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Share My Location >
‘Share My Location’ set to ‘ON’
          ‘From’ set to ‘This Device’
-Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services >
‘Share My Location’ set to ‘ON’

  • I just loaded some July pictures into my PC iCloud photos upload folder, but I do not see them with my iPad. Are they not shared because they are past the 30 day window, or is there a different issue?

I just loaded some July pictures into my PC iCloud photos upload folder, but I do not see them with my iPad. Are they not shared because they are past the 30 day window, or is there a different issue?

Generally I would not use Facebook for sharing any photos, it compresses the photos substantially, and when you have shadows and dark colours you get visible "bands" where there should be subtle gradients, ie at sunsets and sunrises.
It sounds like you are using two methods to upload to Facebook:
    1. Sharing from within Aperture, which basically syncs Facebook with your Aperture album, so any changes made at either end gets synced, hence the deletions from Albums, although the original file should still be in your library, just removed rom the album. It is like a playlist in iTunes.
    2. Exporting pics and uploading to Facebook from the browser.
I am not sure how method 1 gets compressed, but I know that uploading hi-res jpegs to Facebook using method 2 results in poor quality images.
I wouldn't even bother comparing option 1 or 2, and they will both be poor images once you view them on Facebook, as opposed to viewing uploaded images on proper image sharing / hosting sites.
Your problem is not with Aperture, it is using Facebook for showing your work.
If you export pics form Aperture at high res jpegs or TIFFs your images will be fine.
If you insist to use Facebook as your way to share your work, then your workflow should be this:
    1. Right click images you want to share.
    2. Select Export version.
    3. Export as 100% size and ensure the export settings are set at 100% quality.
    4. Upload this pic into Facebook.
This will get you the best image size and resolution on Facebook.
    See how you go.

  • IPhone Bluetooth not sharing with iMac - WHY????

iPhone Bluetooth not sharing with iMac - WHY????
How can this function not be available on iPhone - What an embarrassing disgrace Apple!!
I refuse to conform to iTunes - NO!
Am so over your lack of basic user services Apple - sort your **** out!!!

The simplest answer is that the existing Bluetooth is not suitable for this purpose. With a max speed of 2.1 Mbps (0.5% that of USB), it would be pretty painful to use for this purpose - a backup of a 16GB iPhone would take a whole day. Transfer a movie? It would take an hour.
On top of that, Bluetooth doesn't provide a standard mechanism for the type of data transfer and synching that iPhone needs -- they'd have to write their own propriety one and you'd still have to use proprietary software to do the data transfer / synching.
A better mechanism would be standard Wi-Fi, which would be MUCH faster than Bluetooth and for which the protocols necessary are already in place. It's still comparatively slow to USB (about 10% that of USB), but much faster than Bluetooth. However, it appears that Apple's research has led them to believe that waiting an hour or two for the phone to backup over Wi-Fi using the existing mechanism is still undesirable.
From what they've indicated about iOS5, however, it seems that they will be supporting more over-the-air updating and synching mechanisms, meaning that, for the first time, you can do most everything but backup the phone without iTunes (though document exchange for certain apps is much faster and easier with iTunes, it won't be necessary).
