Notes: iTunes Sync=Yes; where do these appear on my Mac? Can I read them from iTunes? The manual said something about the Mail app on Mac but I don't see any notes there (on the Mac).

There is no separate Notes App in OS X. Notes sync to your Mail App. On the left sidebar, click on the "Reminders" chevron to expand it, your notes should appear there.

In the Utilities folder, which is in Applications. You could also use Spotlight to search for it.

I mostly work on Mac desktop, but use a Macbook Pro on trips. Due to limited HD space on the latter, I want to create a library of part of the images on the Mac, to be used on the Macbook. I do not however want to remove these images from the Mac library.

Choose one or more Projects, and then use Export as New Library (from File). The resulting export will be a fully functioning Aperture Library to either transfer and open on the Macbook Pro, or to Import into a library you already have on the MBP.

Can not sync my Blackberry 8830 with MacBook using Pocket Mac for BlackBerryto Entourage 2008

I recently purchased a Verizon plan with my new BlackBerry 8830 Curve. I also downloaded pocketmac for blackberry with the Verizon technical support person. He spent almost 2 hours with me yesterday. We still can not sync my Blackberry contacts and calendar events to my mackbook on Entourage 2008.
This is the message I get:

PS, they even typed in locate incorrectly.

Guess what ? Pocketmac for Blackberry just released a new version this afternoon. 4.125.
I downloaded the new version and it now has a sync for Entourage 2008 and it works BB to Entourage 2008 and Entourage 2008 to BB.
Thanks to them for finally fixing this major flaw

ICloud not syncing my contact photo on any of my mac's!

So far I have really liked icloud but here lately on my iMac and Macbook Pro me personal contact card will not sync my photo from my iOS devices. If I change the photo from one of my Mac's it wont sync to my other devices. Everything else syncs just fine, addresses, emails, and other contact photos are syncing great.
I know it might not sound like a big deal but i hate seeing the default icon that shows up when I log onto my Mac. THanky you for anyhelp that you may be able to provide.

what I mean is - create a complete new contact on your contacts and select a picture for it from your Mac. Then set it as "make this my card"
Once you have done that - presumably it will sync with iCloud - have a look and the contact should appear on your iPhone too.
On your iPhone go on Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendar> Under "Contacts: in "My Info" select That new contact you created on your Mac.
Let me know if that works.
-On another note, so what you are saying is, if I take my 15' Macbook Pro in and they have none of the old ones in stock, they just give you a Retina display one! Did you take it to them for the contact issue you were having or something else?

Ipod Touch will not sync with home iMac but can with other macs

My daughters iPod Touch will not sync with her iMac anymore.
It will with my MacBook Pro but not with her iMac.
We are both running Snow Leopard.
Is there a toggle or setting that needs to be changed.
I've looked but no joy.

I understand you have some pictures on your iPad that you want to sync or transfer to your computer. One way to accomplish this is to import the pictures to your computer directly. Once you have a copy of your images backed up to your computer, then you can delete the images you no longer want on your iPad by selecting them in the Photos app, and then tapping the trash can icon.

Once you have backed up and removed the pictures from your iPad, try syncing again. If you still get error 54 in iTunes when you try to sync, there may be an issue with permissions. Here is how to run the disk permissions tool using Disk Utility:

My contacts do not sync from my iphone over iCloud to my mac.

Sorry if this a repeat but I've searched and can not find an answer. I have an iphone and a mac book pro both os5 with the cloud set up to sync everything. When I snap a picture with my iphone it shows up on my mac no problem. However, when I add a new contact to my iphone, I can access the updated contact list from icloud.com on my mac, but the contact does not show up on my mac's contact list. I was under the impression it should? Again, I have sync contacts checked on both. Please advise. Thank you.

hi randers4 .... this might be the solution. Question, what do you mean by "if you have any contacts or calendar events on your iPhone or iPad that are not on icloud.com, add them there." Where is "there" and how do I get to "there".
Now,... I do have contacts and calendar that are on the iPhone but was not signed on to the cloud. Do have an ID and PW. So I logged onto the cloud .....that turn on the cloud on the iPhone and did a backup. Is that what you mean when you say add "them there" on the iphone?

Mail Icon in bar not synced with Mail which I log into thru Mac Mail

Clicking on the Mail icon in bar gives me a list of emails in alphabetical order, going back years. I'm certain I've deleted many of these, but they're still there. No mail received recently goes here - the only way to get my mail properly is to log in to MobileMe using passwords etc [before that, Mac mail] which can be tiresome if I just want a quick check.
How can I sync these two, so that whatever arrives/ is deleted /is sent appears in both locations exactly the same?

Movies will not sync with new 1.1.2 version

Has anyone had this trouble? I installed the latest update 2 days ago and now none of the movies I have converted will sync. It will start to sync the movie, then i get a Windows error message asking if I want to report the error. When I click yes or no it shuts down iTunes. All of the movies sync'ed perfectly fine until I updated to the latest version for my iPod Classic 160 GB. Now I can't get any of my movies to sync. All of my movies were on DVD and decrypted with DVD Decrypter and converted with either Jodix or Videora. I have updated to the latest version of videora but still the same problem. Everything else works and syncs fine. Also, I can play all of the movies in iTunes without a problem. Any advise would be appreciated?

Hi guys! I was having the same syncing problems. Here’s what I did.
iTunes was running when I completed the following steps.
First, go to your Home folder under your account.
When you get there double-click on the "Library" folder. Inside of the "Library" folder, double-click on "Preferences" folder. Inside of the "Preferences" folder find and delete the following files.
1. com.apple.iPod.plist
2. com.apple.isync.plist
3. com.apple.iTunes.eq.plist
4. com.apple.iTunes.plist
5. com.apple.iTunesHelper.plist
Empty your trash to make sure they are gone.
Next open up the window, which represents the main hard drive. You can double-click on the icon on the desktop, or click once on the left-hand side panel in any window.
Now, go the "Library" folder in this window and double-click. Inside of the "Library" folder double-click on "Preferences". Inside of "Preferences" find and delete the following file:
1. com.apple.iPod.plist.
The next group of files I found and deleted was by sheer luck. I was doing an Spotlight search for any other files or folders that had anything to do with iTunes or iPod.
Here is a list of files and folders I found and deleted:
iPod Games (folder)
iPodInfo.plist (file)
iPod.framework (folder – was listed twice in the Spotlight search)
iPodSync.framework (folder – also was listed twice)
iPod (file)
iPodSync (file)
To be honest I am not quite sure where the **** these files were. I took a partial screen shot of the window, but did not get the pathway in the shot. Idiot!
Anyway, here is where I think these files live.
Start by double-clicking on your main hard drive icon on the desk top. Then in this order double-click your way through the following series of folders:
1. Developer
2. SDKs
3. MacOS10.5.sdk
4. System
5. Library
6. Frameworks
7. Kernel.framework
8. Versions
9. A
10. Headers
11. IOKit
12. usb
I believe the files are either in the "IOKit" folder or the "usb". I deleted them all, and emptied the trash.
Next, I went back to iTunes, which had been running this whole time.
Click on your iPod icon, and go to the Summary tab. Click the “Restore” button. This will of course remove all of your songs, movies, TV-shows, everything from your iPod, but it will not destroy any files in your Music folder. Movies files by the way are inside of Music folder of your iPod library.
After you iPod restores, quit iTunes. Restart your computer (just to be sure).
Done! All but three of my movies now sync; all songs sync; all TV shows sync. My iPod is running great and so is my Mac.
Do I recommend all of this? No way! I don’t even know what I was thinking! All I can say for sure is that I tried it and it worked for me. Good luck!!

Iphone 4 will not sync with iphoto

Which updates are these? For iPhoto or for you phone's operating system?
If you plan on upgrading iPhoto it will require a purchase of the iLife 11 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com
or
upgrading your MBP to Mavericks and downloading the latest version, 9.5, from the App Store for free.

HT1386 ipad calendar not syncing

I know I must be missing something. Feel like I've tried everything and still my iPad calender will not sync with my MacBrook Pro calendar. I have the latest versions of iTunes, set up wi-fi syncing, iCloud settings are where they should be, every time it goes through a sync it indicates the calender is syncing but no new info appears on my Mac (everything else I have set to sync does), I've turned my iPad off and on. Don't know where else to look.

Solved the problem, by upgrading to Mountain Lion.

Iphone (iOS7) not syncing

My calendar and contacts are not syncing regardless of where I enter the data first..... (desktop or phone). I am sure after reading some of the discussions others are not syncing as well but these two apps I use the most and daily so theses I notice first. Please advise

I now have every device updated, iPhone 7.0.4 and Mavericks. I was hopeful that updated would solve two on going issues but sadly it has not. My continuing isses......... iPhone and Desktop iMac still not sycning regarding calenders, contacts, etc. Secondly, whenever it is required for me to entrer Mac/iCloud user ID and password, it asks me up to three times diespite the infomation being entered correctly (no typos, etc)
