Notes/Tasks/ToDo with exact features

Question

I've almost gone crazy searching for an app to do what I need. I'm going to describe here my exact requirements and the apps that I tried so far. But first, the motivation. I started to dangerously forget things and I'd definitely need some reminders, but there are also some notes that I take and need to review. I'm a professor and a researcher, I need to remember to prepare tests for subjects, I need to remember to look for some articles that someone suggested or I need to come back to some ideas that came to my mind sometime of the day...
So, the app must:
- Have a menu bar icon, with the number of pending things - the menubar is the place that I check the most on my Mac, I see the icons there when I check the time, for example; that's why I need it to display the number of tasks/notes;
- Integrate, communicate in some way with iOS, since I need my lists on my iPhone, too;
- Have a keyboard shortcut to display the list and to add a new item;
- Notify me, preferably repeatedly until I complete a task.
As you can see, I'm pretty picky, so I highly doubt that there is one app to have them all, but I'd be just fine with 2, one for tasks/todo/reminders and one for plain notes. With the same requirements, of course.
I tried most of the free apps in MAS, even bought some, but to no avail...
Currently I use Yellow for the notes and Jinni for the tasks. But they lack most of the features that I need. Their main feature is that their menubar icon has a count
I tried using Calendar and Reminders, but Calendar requires events, which is not always the case and Reminders doesn't show the simple list that I need.
Of course, I could train myself to check Calendar, Notes and Reminders many times a day, but this itself would require some revurring reminder, to check all these apps
Any suggestion is more than welcome.

Well, for its price, I don't find it that impressive, tbh. For example, it cannot show undated reminders without alarms, it doesn't have a feature for notes and there's no count at the menubar icon to show due things.
Yes, it's great, but not exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for your suggestion, but I'll be waiting for alternatives.
