Notes vanished

So my professor forced us to download his crappily put together PDF textbook. I was really upset until I realized I could take notes with the Acrobat Reader (albeit clumsily).
I went to open the program on my Kindle Fire and noticed that all the notes I had taken vanished. I checked the files on my computer, they're similarly gone. Not in the cloud either. These are notes I had taken over weeks of reading, and which I needed tonight to write a paper. I don't even know how to troubleshoot for this problem and I'm really irritated. Hours and hours of work, gone. Not to mention that I don't get help from actual Adobe employees unless I pay them money first? Give me a break!
I'm doubtful anyone can help, but I thought I'd post here anyway. I'm not technologically impaired, I just never use PDFs this way so don't even know where to start.

I am so sorry for the trouble caused & will try my best to help you.
Please let me know the version of Adobe Reader & operating system installed on your computer using which you created the notes and were the pdf file along with the notes backed up on the cloud?
Also check the Commenting settings in the Preferences of your Adobe Reader.

New note - (enter note text) - click "done" - note vanishes for ever!

In Mail 4.3, when I create a new Note (File / New note) and hit "done" on the note interface, the note vanishes forever. It is simply not stored anywhere.
When create a note on my Iphone (with the default note app) and sync it to my Mac, the note rightfuly appears in the Notes Mailbox, just as it should.
But on the Mac, I have to send the note to my inbox (with he "to" icon on the note UI) and then drag the new note from my Inbox to the the Notes mailbox so it becomes a real note and I can sync it with my Iphone.
I wish I could simple create a new note and save it right away in the note mailbox.
How can I do that?

Are you working with exchange?? I have a similar issue.... I´m working with exchange and I get to many duplicated notes....

The attached image displays the "colored dot" which I referred to in my first reply.
This image was taken from one day in the "Month" view.
The first event is an "All Day" event, and the second is a timed event.

My notes vanished into thin air on my iPhone 5.

All my data in notes just disappeared, vanished into thin air and I didn't do anything? How can this happen. I'm using iPhone 5. Please advice, need to know why this happened so that it doesn't happen again.

Didn't you backup the Bookmarks.plist ??
When not than I'm afraid that they are all gone as you said, but when you use Fire Fox to as second web browser you can export the Bookmarks back to Safari.

Notes vanished in front of my eyes after IOS7 update!

I need to recover these notes. I do not understand why they litterally vanished from the list in front of my while i was looking at my notes. From all devices, ipad, mac mini and my phone. Please tell me they are backed up somewhere!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not the first time this has happened, although I never experienced it.

I have the same chipset, but my audio was cutting in and out in a very annoying manner. Zapping the PRAM did not help me either.
I decided, based on your post, to check my Audio Output settings, and noticed that my iSub did not show up. Well, at one point it did pop up for a second.
I realized that I broken my own "Rules for Upgrading" that notes "Always unplug all unnecessary external devices before upgrading." I disconnected the iSub, as well as my Radio Shark, and the problem went away. When I reconnected the iSub I lost audio again. This time disconnecting would not bring it back, and I had to perform a Restart. Audio has been working fine every since.

Notes vanishing and duplicating at the same time

Couldn't really find a discussion with my problem. It's been happening for a while now.
If I open notes on my MBP (10.8 up to date), create a new note and start typing into it, by the time it starts "updating..." (In the title bar), the note will dissapear, reappear for about 0.5sec then vanish again. It won't come back at all - so you start again. The new note is fine - doesn't dissapear once.
What's weird is that on my iPhone 5 and ipad2 ( both ios7), BOTH notes have sync'd over iCloud, the first has half a line of text up to the point when notes.app starts updating, and the second is correct and compete.
Has anyone else seen this? Could it be related to a slow internet connection?

Back up all data.
Check the Mail, Contacts & Calendar preference pane to make sure you're not synchronizing Notes in more than one account.
If you're not, disable Notes synchronization temporarily.
Quit Notes, if it's running.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes
Copy the whole line of text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return. A Finder window should open with a folder selected. If it does, move the selected folder — not just its contents — to the Desktop.
The folder you're moving is named "com.apple.Notes" It is not the subfolder named "Data" or anything else.
Re-enable Notes synchronization.
Relaunch Notes and test. If it works now, delete the folder you moved. Otherwise, quit again, and put the folder back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place.
Caution: If you delete some or all of the contents of the selected folder, but leave the folder itself in place, the application may not launch. Deleting the folder will cause it to be rebuilt automatically.

Where did my note go?

I had a note on my iPhone 4S. After I did a sync with iTunes, one note disappeared. Originally I had 3 notes, now there are only 2. I am not using iCloud simply because I don't know how. On my iPhone the iCloud says that for notes, it's on. I am using Windows 7 and Windows Mail. When i go to iCloud in the Windows control panel, it says that I have 1.4Gigs in a backup, but I have no idea how to access it. When I go to iCloud.com, there is nothing there, I have 5 Gigs available to me.
Where did my note go and how can I retrieve it?

i think i did. i'm totally new to the iphone so i'm probably doing something wrong (and not the phone's fault)
hmmm, i just plugged my iphone into my imac to charge/sync it, and saw my current note vanish into the top left hand corner. so if syncing deletes the note - where does it go?
and how can i stop this from happening? surely must be a way...

Meeting Cancelled email are not deleting from inbox

I noticed today that when I receive a meeting cancellation email, open it and select remove event option, the mail itself does not vanish and can’t be deleted. The only way to clean that bTW is forcing the account to be re-sync by turning off and on again as there is no “resync” option in the BB.
This is annoying bug atop the existence bug on meeting reply that show tentative on Outlook (2013) although were fully accepted in the device.

Bumping this for help responses.

Note just disappeared

I had one of my notes just disappear - poof - from my iphone (while I opened it and had no signal...cell or wifi). I opened it - saw the title - clicked it - then a blank note replaced it and I didn't really know what happened - it was that quick. Then I want back to see list of notes and it was gone. It's a very important note - can I retrieve it? This will kill me to lose all those notes on that particular note pad.

Can't figure out why my notes are disappearing on my iphone 4S

I just had a note vanish before my eyes...
I opened the app, was viewing the note, and it just went away...and is no longer listed with the other notes...
Not the first time this new iPhone 5 has randomly disgarded notes from my notes app...very frustrating...
All the old notes made with my previous iPhone 4 are still there after being carried over from the upgrade...

Mail Vanished on Arrival

Using Mac OS X Mail.app, mail sent to my me.com/icloud.com from one sender arrives and then vanishes. It really vanishes; it is not in any folders. Sometimes I can see the arrival (a notification pops up, or an 'unread' message appears in the Mail application) but then it is gone before I can view it. If the same sender sends a message with identical content to a different email address, I then receive the mail (in the Mail app) and it does not vanish. I have turned off all 'rules' to ensure nothing happens automatically. I've never seen this before and it only occurs for one sender.
Has anybody experienced this?

Back up all data.
1. Triple-click the line below to select it:
~/Library/Mail/Bundles
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder may open, or you may get an error message that the item can't be found. Either result is normal. If the folder does open and has contents, move the contents to the Desktop. Relaunch Mail and test. If there's no change, put the contents of the folder back and quit Mail again.
2. Repeat with this line:
/Library/Mail/Bundles
This time you may be prompted for your login password when you remove the items. Make sure they're removed from the folder and not just copied to the Desktop. If necessary, copy them first and then move the originals to the Trash.

ITunes recognizes iPod -- then it vanishes

Hi folks -
My color iPod has been engaging in some idiosyncratic behavior and I cannot get it to update. The long story is this: When I went to get the new updater (1/10/06) and tried to update, I got a bad folder icon on the iPod screen -- the fonts got smaller too -- and ended up doing a full restore. The updater claims the restore was successful and that I am running the latest iPod software - 1.2.1. (I am running iTunes 6.0.2.23.)
When I plug iPod into my USB 2.0 port, it starts iTunes and looks like it's going to update. But after about 8 songs (keep in mind all of my music got wiped out when I restored) the iPod vanishes from the list on the left column of iTunes. After a few minutes, it reappears and tries again. And vanishes again. Etc. If I quit iTunes, the iPod makes it reopen and the process begins again.
When I plug the iPod into the USB 1.0 port, it appears to update fine -- but at a glacial pace. So far it has not vanished, but it's only on song 10 of more than 5,000.
Any advice?

Note exceeded memory limit, deleted

We were entering a long entry in Apple Notes and included photos. At some point an error message popped up to the effect of "This note exceeded its memory limit ". After clicking Okay, the note vanished. No copy was found on other devices, all lost.
This is unacceptable. Is this a new limitation or bug?
If this is to be expected, what alternatives should we use to take notes with photos?

"If you require more memory in PRIV mode, you must insert a line of the type
as4/MAXSHR64 = 400
in the SAP instance profile."
I don't think I want more memory in PRIV mode.
However, I am sure you are right and I'm relieved to know that I am in fact not constrained to 64GB.
So, I believe I should go for:
as4/MAXSHR64 = 800 (allow max 200GB)
em/blocksize_KB = 8192
em/initial_size_MB=65536 (for example)
to take me up to the full 64GB.
I don't need to do this yet, but at least now I am prepared and can prove this in QA.
Many thanks for the advice, I clearly need to re-read and digest note 808607 - it has not been at all clear to me. Perhaps the German version is clearer.

PR Release startegy

PR release startegy should be flexible so that if we add any of the parameters, the program should follow the rules. The parameters that can be changed are:
1. Document Types
2. Project Types (We will need a custom table)
3. Plants Groups
4. Threshold Amounts
The routing of the Purchase requisition approval is primarily based on the amount on the requisition, the Plant, and the department the requisitioner belongs to.
In standard sap we have static parameters for release staregy, but here requiremnet is dynamic, when ever you chnage any of the parameters the syatem should adapt those chnages and the existing rules must apply for new one.

Why would you change Doc. Type?
If your requirements are not firmed than you should not raise requisition.
No matter how dynamic your business is, requisition raised for a particular requirement should not vanish or change in a day or so.
Practically speaking, it seems your supply chain is not process driven.
For such scenarios you should allow to create POs directly once the requirements are firmed and aprovals covered for POs only.
