NOTHING appears on my Ipod Screen except....
alright the other day i was listening to my ipod and i turned it off and put it in my pocket then a few hours later i took it out and i couldnt get it to turn on at all. i did everything i could, then i hooked it up to the computer (to see if the battery was just dead or sumthing) and instead of the screen saying Do Not Disconnect it had a purple looking line going down the middle of the screen. I REALLY NEED SOME HELP!!!

Try a restore. If it is still there, you most likely have a hardware issue on logic board. Contact Apple and they will replace.

Please help - all of a sudden my ipod is showing a padlock on it & it will not let me in to my music - how did this happen & how do I fix it.
Is this a padlock that appears in the upper right hand corner of the iPod's display? If so, that is the lock switch icon indicating that the lock switch located along the top of the Nano is in the On position.
If you have verified that this lock switch is actually in the Off position, the lock switch is likely damaged or faulty and in need of replacement.

hi, I have an ipod that does not work, and one that does work.
the one that works has a bad case with scratches and stuff. the one that is broken is good condition.
so i swapped the cases. the screen and click wheel are connected right.
THE IPOD WILL GO INTO DISK MODE BUT NOTHING HAPPENS ON THE IPODS SCREEN.
i can save the music, but i dont to buy a new ipod. i do have an extra screen.

Restoring the iPod will do nothing to his iPhone.
When you restore it wipes the iPod clean no matter what computer you use.
The only plus to doing it form your home computer is if you have a backup stored there, then you can restore from the backup once it's done wiping.
If you are away form your home computer, go ahead and use the computer you have to restore it, then when you get home, you can restore form any backup you may find. You can use this to help you do that when you get there: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 -
I tried updating my iPod touch to the newest update. But my iPod was unable to complete the update. Now my iPod doesn't turn on completely. The apple logo appears but then the screen goes blank. I've tried charging it, letting it discharge, I've tried things I found on the internet but nothing seems to be working. What can I do?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Computer turns on but nothing appears on the screen
Hi,
I have had this desktop computer for about 2 years. I usually use it almost daily and turn it off at the end of the day. Every few months or so the computer would turn on but nothing would appear on the screen. I would have to hold the power button to turn it off then turn in on a couple times or wait until the next day and the computer would turn on and everything would appear on the screen and work perfectly. Last week, the computer once again turned on but nothing appeared on the screen, except this time, after a week, the computer will now turn on except there is still nothing appearing on the screen. I no longer hear the fans running, however, I hear everything else running as normal. I have unplugged and re-plugged in all the cords multiple times and still, nothing.

My iPod screen got broken and some water got on it! The screen has gotten darker due to the moisture but otherwise the iPod still works except for the sound! I have no sound anymore! What can I do? Pleas help!

Recently, U2 music appeared on my ipod without my requesting it or wanting it. I was able to delete all of the songs except for one. How do I delete the last one from my ipod? When I plug in apple tv the status light just blinks amber and nothing appears on the screen
When I plug in my apple tv (first gen) the status light just blinks amber and nothing appears on the screen. The status light never turns white and won't stops blinking amber. I've tried to over ride this with the remote, resetting it and trying to revert it to the factory settings. Is there a way to wake it up or is it a lost cause?

The system looks like it's unable to start up, this could be software but more likely hardware, either way unless it will start up there is nothing a user can do to resolve this. -
My ipod went to the ''connect to itunes mode'' and i want to use my itunes backup but how can i do that. also when the ''recover your ipod screen'' appeared i accidentally chose not to show it anymore. please help i just had it for half a day.
