Nothing but nothing works
I tried to ‘update’ my software on my desktop – runs Win7, and synching to my Blackberry Curve 9360.
That refused to work, but, far worse, it seems to have corrupted a file somewhere in my system.
If I try to synch, I get the message ‘No items found to synch’.
I tried to repair it, and get the message ‘The service you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable’
I tried to uninstall it and I get the message ‘A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file C:\windows\installer\BlackberyyDesktopSoftware.msi’
I also tried to reinstall the software including after a system restore to an earlier time.
So I cannot update, I cannot synch, I cannot repair. I cannot revert and I cannot delete. I am not a techie so am completely wiped. Can anyone give me some constructive help?

How can I get the iCloud/iTunes password for my (now) deceased Father-in-Law's iMac? I have a list of his passwords, but nothing works! I know his email, but that account has been cancelled for security purposes, so we can't just request a new one. I tried his security questions to no avail.
ThanksSince that password is tied to his Apple ID, you will need to contact Apple; as far as I know, it will be a somewhat lengthy procedure and you will need to furnish necessary paperwork (including a death certificate as far as I know). Best to either stop at an Apple store or call them to find out exactly what it is you need to do.

cannot send or receive yahoo mail or gmail from iPhone . installed ios 6 recently. tried rebooting the phone and deleting the email account and adding again but nothing works ! can someone suggest a solution?
Not sure about yahoo, but for gmail, I done the following:
Set up using Exchange on iPhone, it'll keep prompting for password. On PC use captcha option, log in to gmail account from PC after completingg captcha option, enter password on iPhone.
See how that goes for gmail, let us know.
Hopefully someone will have fix for yahoo. -
My ipad just won't let me sign in with my apple password on FaceTime or iMessage since updating to ios7 it says check my network connection, even though my iPhone works fine with the same password, can anybody help please, I have tried numerous things but nothing works. Will I have to wait for a bug fix to sort this? I hear they are working on one a the minute, I hate ios7
Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.

I bought some songs off of itunes and the songs synced onto my ipod CLASSIC but they didnt sync into my ipod TOUCH. I have tried authorizing and deauthorizing my laptop, updating softwares but nothing works. Anyone know why this is happening?!?!?!

The songs need to be in the playlist(s) that go onto the ipod touch.
Plug the ipod touch into the computer and go to the music section of it from the devices menu. From here make sure that the playlist(s) that go on to this ipod are the ones that have the new songs.
Once this is done, click sync/apply.

When I try to open an .ai/pdf file received through my email, it won't open and asks for a password. I have never set up any kind of password for email security, but have tried typing in my standard passwords. Nothing works. I wonder if it has anything to do with the use of my Wacom3 Tablet...I've been having trouble with it and was getting the same message when trying to open the User's Manual in my Applications/WacomTablet file on my hard drive. Any suggestions? I just downloaded the latest version for the Wacom and recently upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6.7 (which I hate, and my CS3 hates, etc.)
It sounds like you have a a password-protected PDF. The password was set by the person who encoded it.

I can not sync my IPhone to My Imac. I have the latest version of ITunes on my Imac. I have tried reseting my phone (3), changing ports. Nothing works. I was thinking maybe my phone has the earlier version of ITunes but I can't update it.

Help, I can't sync any music to my iPhone 5s or iPad 2 ! it says it's finished sync but the music is greyed out and not on my devices.. I've tried unchecking the music and doing it manually. Nothing works. I took it to Apple store Robina no help..
So I have found a common denominator to this phenomenon. After having the same problem, I started to recopy my playlist of 500+ songs in groups of 10-20, 30+, 75+, and then over a 100+. Any music I have purchased from iTunes won't copy, but everything else did. Unsure if I made a playlist called "Purchased" at some point or this is an iTunes default, I also noticed it had some of the songs contained in my other playlist and was showing on my iPhone. Regardless of what I did such as dragging music from that playlist to the other and clearing songs from that playlist, I removed it altogether from the iPhone itself vs. doing through iTunes. After that, music copied fine to my playlist.
So, my theory is that iTunes is getting tripped up on purchased tracks already showing on the phone and all songs are showing grayed out/dotted circle because iTunes can't resolve the conflict with purchased tracks.

I have two apple accounts, but can only access one. I did all the steps to recover the older account's password but nothing worked. I need to access the older account to update apps. Also would there be a way to just combine both accounts?
Were you able to reset the account's password ? If not then how did you try to get it reset e.g. http://iforgot.apple.com (which would have sent it to the rescue email address if you have one on that account) ? You can also try contacting iTunes Support in your country to get it reset : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
And no, accounts can't be merged nor content transferred between accounts. -
I am a premium subscriber to AcornTV. I have been unable to stream video on my home MacBook Pro (OS 10.6.8) using Firefox 3.6.12. I can easily stream Hulu, iTunes, Netflix, etc, but NOT AcornTV. I have tried the AcornTV player on Safari, Chrome and Firefox, nothing works. I use Time Warner High Speed internet at home, and they claim the problem is on Acorn's end, which Acorn denies. The biggest frustration is that I CAN stream Acorn videos on my office iMac desktop, using the same OS and same version of Firefox (we have our own server at work, though).
I'm watching it right now on Firexfox, but it's on a Dell, not a Mac. Have you tired watching it on a Chrome or IE browser instead of Firefox? And does it work on those browsers?
You should continue to follow up with Acorn TV - email [email protected] and you will get help, from the CTO, if necessary. Also, they now have a diagnostic page built that can analyze your computer and it will give them more information about your system. So, if you haven't tried in two months, it might be worth trying again. -

Note that you can only sync with one iTunes library/computer but you can "sync" music and videos from more than one iTunes library/computer.

Was using version prior to latest version 16. Had a problem getting rid of Incredimail search so came here. Instead of doing the reset procedure, I uninstalled-reinstalled Firefox after exporting my bookmarks, etc. I used Revo Uninstaller. That solved the problem of the incredimail issue but went to put my usual add-on's onto browser and that's when the problems started. Last Pass log in button has a small drop down menu I have never seen before..no text just icons. At first the browser showed I had add-ons, but when I would click the options on say: Last Pass, that brought up a menu that was blank. No way to set options. Nothing works. So I reset to original. That didn't work. So...I removed the folder from my programs file and uninstalled Firefox again. Then I upgraded to the latest version...16. Same story. When I click my add-on's, it comes up to the find add-on's, essentially the browser is saying I have none installed. None of my add-on's show up at all. I am probably not making sense here but Firefox will connect and browse the web but that's about it. The add-on's I use, such as, again, Last Pass, are not there. I DO have Windows XP SP3 and my computer is up to date. Don't know if this matters, but I also have Chrome and use some of the same extensions for it that I use for Firefox.
Revo Uninstaller is just that. A simple program(s) uninstaller. When I couldn't get rid of the Incredimail search bar, I used Revo and completely uninstalled version 15 Firefox. Before doing so I exported my bookmarks, etc to another browser.
I reinstalled Firefox, put my add-on's back, just as if it were my first time using Firefox. I had a list of add-on's and extensions and plug-ins showing up on Firefox as was normal. I logged into Last Pass and when I went to set the options, the entire form on the add-on's page was blank. The drop down menu for Last Pass had some weird icons...icon of man and woman, some kind of emoticons...not sure what they were because they weren't marked and they would not do anything once clicked.
After having to copy and paste from Last Pass Vault just to get on my various sites, I reset Firefox. Same problems. I then went to my C:/program files and removed the Mozilla Firefox folder as specified by Mozilla. I then upgraded to 16. Now I don't have any add-on's, just the search for add-ons page. When I tried to add my Last Pass, Clear Preview..etc...they installed but would not show up anywhere on Firefox. I then did another clean uninstall with Revo. I did a clean install for 16 Firefox. Same thing. None of the add-ons I put back show up. I have Windows Professional Edition XP Service Pack 3 and all updates are current. I have Zone Alarm Professional Security Firewall and anti-virus, System Mechanic, Spybot Search and Destroy. I have no idea what is causing my problems. I do use Chrome for some web surfing and I do have many of the same extensions on Chrome that I use(d) on Firefox. Would that interfere? Thanks for the prompt reply! -
My iPhone 6plus will no longer connect to my Dodge UConnect system. Phone calls get a beep "phone call completed" message. Music will play though. Just can't make calls. Tried turning off iCloud and repairing but nothing works. It did work a few days

After a rescent update on my ipad 3 I can no longer connect to my pc with WIFI. I have tried resetting ipad and itunes but nothing works. Talked to support and they were no help. Any suggestions?

I tried updating my iPhone3g through itunes. Now i'm stuck in recovery mode and i've EVERYTHING even websites and such but nothing worked out! I've also tried restarting and fiddling with the home button but nothing still worked. Please help! What should I do??
