Nothing happens, but I meet system & security requirements

I've been through all the security details, and everything checks out. I have Windows Vista, but when I try to download CS4, all I get is a window pop-up that says "You're download is starting," then closes after I let it. I've tried waiting the "minute or two" that it supposedly takes to start up, but still nothing happens.
I was able to download the Trial version a while back, and I remember having to alter my security settings, but I haven't changed them back since then. So why isn't the download starting?
EDIT: I recently looked for Adobe Download Manager on my computer and nothing came up. I tried to find it here on the website to download but only got FAQs. Where can I go to get Adobe Download manager?

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

Can anyone help me ? my iphone 3gs keeps displaying needs activation and connect to itunes when i do this nothing happens but the phone works fine but as soon as i disconect the phone it displays the same message over again and wont let me go any further

Nothing happens when I select system preferences in apple dropdown or any other place I can select preferences.

If you click on finder, open a new finder window, click on applications, and click on system preferences, what happens?

I try to log in to password protected sites and nothing happens but works fine on Internet Explorer. Can't get past login page. I even had to use Internet Explorer to login to ask this question!

On the page where you enter username and password after entering and pressing "Log in" the page just stays in place. If you look at the error log you see

Make sure that you do not block the referrer.

Make sure the screen is clean
Try:

- Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, cracked or broken plastic.

When I double click FF 18 nothing happens, but if I right click and click open then it opens please help

When I double click my icon on the desktop nothing happens, I mean nothing, but if I right click and then click open it will open my web browser. I'm using FF 18 recently updated from FF17, and I did have some slowness until I reset firefox, but that seems to have taken care of the slowness.

17inch iMac turns on but nothing happens but boot up sound

hi my late 2006 17" iMac goes to a blank screen when turnt on and does nothing else but make start up sound, could the logic board be broken or is it something else?

Probably, you need to take it in though to find out how much. The computer is 6+ years old, it may simply be time to be replaced.

According to this page it says "Make sure your Mac is running OS X v10.7.4 or later for iCloud." Well, I am using just that, 10.7.4.
When I try to turn on Mail in iCloud in the Preferences (so I can setup an email address and check it from within Mail), it says "Update to the latest verison of OS X". But yet, I meet the requirements, so what gives?

Run Disk Utillity to make sure the startup disk is ok.
Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities
Select the startup disk on the left then click Verify Disk.
If the disk is ok, while you're there, click Repair Disk Permissions. Reparing permissions can fix a myriad of issues on a Mac.

Try configuring the printer. You can usually access the printer setup menu by clicking Print on a web page, then click "Properties" when your printer options appear.
Set the page size to A4 in there and maybe choose other settings such as those I've ringed in red in the screenshot. This is my own printer.

As cbs20 alludes, if you didn't buy it new, those apps are registered with the previous owner. If you are the original owner, the support people should be able to help.
