Nothing in iWork 08 works for me!

Everything I try to use in iwork 08 hides my text and you can only see when you drag your mouse over it and it highlights purple I have tried to uninstall and redownload the disc but no change.help!!!

iWork was released in summer 2007, it was not designed to run in Mavericks therefore unsurprisingly it has many issues in Mavericks. The "invisible text" is a well known problem. You realy should upgrade to either iWorks 09 available from Amazon as a DVD or Keynote 6.2 available from the Mac App Store.

When I try to open Twitter on a new tab, the tab closes and nothing happens. It works for IE and every other website.

Try the following:
Create a Restore Point in case u need to back out of these changes.
Close and reopen Internet Explorer .
Click the Tools button, and then click Internet options.
Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.
In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, Check the "Delete Personal Setting" box and click Reset.
When IE finishes applying default settings, click Close, and then click OK.
Restart your PC for these changes to take effect.
If the above doesn't fix the problem it could be corrupt data in your login profile. To check this try creating a new login id and running ie in the new login.

Enable Commenting Toolbar in Browser (doesn't work for IE / FF)

I've seen a lot of chatter about this scenario but nothing seems to be working for me. What I want to do is this:
Create a .pdf.
Attach to the enterprise wiki software Confluence.
Check-out in Confluence.
Have the Commenting / Annotation toolbar available in IE / Firefox.
Make changes.
Save the .pdf.
Check back into Confluence.
This isn't working for me. What I've been doing is this.
Create a .pdf in FrameMaker 10.
Open in Acrobat 9 Pro.
Navigate to Advanced > Document Processing > Document Javascripts
Create a Script (I called mine 'Commenting').
Click Add....
Used this JavaScript:
function Commenting()
{Collab.showAnnotToolsWhenNoCollab = true;
Click OK.
Click Close.
Save.
Click Comments > Enable for Commenting and Analysis in Acrobat Reader.
Save.
Attach the .pdf to Confluence.
When I Checkout the file from Confluence in IE 8, the document appears but toolbar doesn't appear. When I Checkout the file in Firefox, the document doesn't appear at all.
I'd really appreciate a clear response on how to get this work. While I'd prefer to use the Acrobat Commenting from within Acrobat Pro for peer document review, I've been asked to research using Confluence as the primary nexus for peer review. I'm not having any luck thus far.

Clicking the link to the .PDF launches the file in a browser (same gimped toolbar for both IE 8 and Firefox). When I right-click the .PDF toolbar in-browser, I have access to the following toolbars:
File
Find
Page Display
Page Navigation
Select and Zoom
Tasks
I don't see anything for Commenting / Annotation.

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

You need a Firewire cable to run between the two Macs. Using Utility>Migration Assistant running on your new MacBook Pro, transfer what you want (with all the preferences and such) from your MacBook to your MBP. Here's more info from Apple.
You might have an issue with the Serial number for Office, but hopefully you have that around.

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

If you mean photo stream, that's because they only remain in iCloud for 30 days (even though your last 1000 photo stream photos remain on your iOS devices until you delete them). When you first enable photo stream, you only get the photos from the last 39 days as older photos are no longer in iCloud.
If you want to stream your old photo stream photos to iPhoto, add them to a shared photo stream on your phone and invite yourself as a subscriber, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99. Alternatively, you can import them using your usb cable as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

I would instead say you have a problem since nearly all IPs work as advertised. IF you do have a bad phone, take it into an Apple store and get a replacement. Hope you didn't jailbreak your phone though as Apple probably will tell you, you broke it, you fix it.

If you followed the instructions in the support article exactly (leaving the machine off for two minutes), then it has a hardware fault. Take it to an Apple Store or other authorized service provider for repair.

I believe you need to have XP with Service Pak 3 as a minimum for most CS6 applications. You should check all of the system requirements because I think you also need to have a 64-bit machine as well. Here is a link...
