Nothing is transfering

Im new to this and not really computer wise but here goes. I bought my daughter a mini ipod 12 months ago then all of a sudden it died after 3 months turned of and then wouldnt turn back on returned it to apple they replaced it but the problem is it wont transfer the music from the computer it connects and the screen says dont disconnect the little wheel in the left corner is going round but nothing is being transferred. I says we need a faster thing to transferr the music quicker on the computer but it worked totally fine before.Ive reset it and did all the troublshooting things but nothing is helping.Any suggestions.

the version im using is 10.7.5
im not sure what you mean by you second statement. when i open those application on my macbook its on my macbook but when i sign into icloud. i have those option selected.
maybe my problem is im using the wrong ID...... lol.
is there away you can delete or change icloud accounts/ ID's???

This may be a solution. i take it your photos were in iPhoto. If so they will still be in your iPhoto library.
This library should be in your pictures folder, see below.
If you control-click on the library and from the drop down menu choose open, hopefully iPhoto will open and you will see your photos.
This worked for me, so I hope it works for you.

Migration Assistant says "Less than a minute to go" but this goes on for hours and nothing gets transferred to my new iMac 27"

Am trying to transfer all my data from my old MacBook Pro 10.6.8 , 2.8GHz, 4GB memory to my new iMac 27" 10.9.4, 3.2 GHz, 8GB and after 3 days I still can't get there.
I am using Migration Assistant. Both computers are on wi fi. I have connected them together with an ethernet cable.
I can get the process going but hours later the computers say "less than a minute remaining" . I have left them alone for more hours but nothing moves on. I them quit and of course I find that nothing has been transferred.
I am not very skilled at all this so I hope someone can help me with an easy solution.

The above didn't work so I then tried what you suggested and erased the hard disc, reloaded the OSX software and then tried the Migration Assistant again. Same old problem only now it doesn't get beyond "new mac selecting what to import". When I press continue the screen just goes grey then back to the login page.
However another problem I have is that the free 'bundled apps' ... Pages. Numbers, Keynote, Garageband, iMovie and iPhoto have disappeared! I've been to the App store and into my account but they are not there under 'Purchases".
This is all turning into a nightmare so any help would be very welcome.

My ipod say its syncing but when I check my ipod nothing has transferred

I'm trying to sync the songs I've purchased on my computer to my ipod. I click sync and it says its syncing and that it has synced, but when I look for the new songs they have'nt transferred to my ipod. What's going on, or how do I fix this? I tried resetting my ipod, but that didn't work.

Have you tried deleting the account and re-installing?

IPad 2 says finnished sync but nothing actually transfers.

I plug in my ipad 2 to itunes check the box that says sync music and the sync films.
It then says syncing, then goes through all the safari stuff then says its finnished butg nothing is actually on my ipad.
But when i do this to my iphone it works perfectly.
What is wrong with my ipad??

Enable Manually manage music and videos and see if that changes things. You would be able to drag and drop whatever media you want on the iPad. Change it back to see if that changes the syncing process.

HT4993 when switching from my htc evo to the iphone 4s they said all my photos and videos would transfer over time, but after 6 hours still nothing has transfered. Anybody have this issue or know what I can do so I won't lose all my pictures and videos

Well i wouldn't see why your photo's, videos and music would trasnfer. As that is a android device, there is no way to have them transfer over the air to the iphone.
Contacts probably came from google. Your videos and such you would have to move them to PC then to the iphone. Same with your music.

I have an iPhone 4. I would like to transfer music from my HP computer to the phone. The music appears on my iTunes page on the computer but I cannot figure out how to transfer it to the phone. I'd also like to transfer the phone numbers on my phone to my computer (so I can keep them on my backup drive in case something happens to the phone). When I connect the computer and the phone, it says it's 'syncing' but I certainly can't figure out what's being 'synced'. The only thing I've ever been able to transfer at all are photos from the phone to the computer. If I must upgrade my phone system to 6.1 to do thi, I am reluctant to try that because it says I must save things or they will be lost (e.g. music I've purchased, phone directory, etc) - which I have no clue how to do. I signed up for Sync on an old Mac. I cannot get it to work on new Mac. Nothing is transferring. Your online help is no help.

I have had a new mac for over a month now and I cannot get my Firefox menu or bookmarks onto the new Mac. I signed up for Firefox Sync. It didn't work either. I'm frustrated and disappointed. I have 100's of favorite bookmarks.

Which version of Firefox were you last using on the old Mac?
You would have had to have been using a Firefox 29 version or higher for that Firefox installation to be compatible with the current version of Sync.

Hotsync goes through the motions but nothing actually transfers

It used to work fine with both. NOW, it makes connection with G4, runs through the folders to sync but the calendar items do not synchronize.

My Ipod and Itunes are upto to date. After Itunes opens a small box with the word Ipod appears near the top of the right side of the screen. Then screen will go through the five steps of syncing. Afterward, still nothing has transfered to my Ipod(The box next to the songs I wanted were check)

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar
Then make sure that you have the right boxes chacked to sync. See:

My iTunes says it's syncing my iPhone, but nothing happens.

I just downloaded the iOS 8.0.2 on my iPhone 5c earlier today, and I have the most up-to-date version of iTunes on my Windows 7 computer because I had to reinstall it Sunday night. Every time I try to sync my iPhone with iTunes, iTunes says it's syncing, and it goes through the steps at the top of the screen, but nothing is transferred to my iPhone. I've tried syncing it plugged into the computer with a cable and over wi-fi, and it does it both ways. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

The issue is that the current iTunes (11.0.4) requires at least OS X version 10.6.8 to run.
You must update your OS X first, then update your iTunes.
Note that OS X version 10.6 (Snow Leopard) is now two years old. So I strongly suggest that you move to Lion (OS X 10.7) or Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8) if your machine will support it. Either of these upgrades will cost a bit.

Transferring wbs elements bewteen project definitions

I have created many wbs elements under a single project definitions and now have financial posting against them. Is it possible to transfer some of the wbs elements to a new project defintion?

Rich, there is nothing called transferring WBSE from one Project Definition to another. But you can do these.
1. Delete the WBSE, if there are no postings happend, and then create the WBSE with same id for the other project Definition.
2. Rename the WBSE id(for which the acutal cost exists) to some id, and then create the WBSE with the same id to other proejct definition..(i think it should work, check and come back)
But, I would like to ask you onething, why you want to mix up WBSE coding in a project. Suppose if your project Definition is A.001, then it is the good practice to maintain the WBSE which follows the code A.001.01, A.001.02 etc., From your post I understand that you want to create A.001 as project and A.001.01, A.111.01 as your WBS Elements. Why do you want to do like this?

Time Capsule Problems

I received my TC almost a year ago and up until a couple days ago I had only intended to use the time machine function to do weekly backups. Now that I am beginning to run out of space on my local drive I decided it is time to start to make use of the 1T of storage that my TC provides. I opened finder selected time capsule under shared and opened the Data file. Within that file I created a new folder titled Pictures. I began my attempt at copying my 12gigs of photos and a couple .mov's taken on my iphone4 (these .mov files were synced to my main Pictures folder via iphoto.) when i get through about 10gigs of the copy i get an error message about one of the .mov files and at that point no more files are able to be transferred and the copy process for the most part freezes (meaning it doesn't let me select the "stop copying" button and nothing else transfers over. When i restart my computer and look in my TC to the Pictures folder i see that around 10 of 12 gigs made it but the rest did not. How can I ever know what files were copied and what was not? Going through the photos in the TC Pictures folder individually is not practical and would take wayyy to long, and I certainly am not going to delete the files off mt C drive until i know FOR SURE that everything has successfully been copied to my TC. (How can I place any trust in a piece of equipment that is supposed to protect my information if simple tasks like copying files cannot be completed!!!) I really don't want to go out and buy another external HD when i have 1T of memory sitting on my desk hardly being used. So I guess my main questions are: How can I (step by step please) move data from my C drive to the time capsule? How can I (once the copy is done and double checked) remove it from my local hard drive to free up space? How can i set it up so whenever new photos are added to my Pictures folder they go straight to my TC rather than saving on my local drive? Oh and... How can I fix the error I am getting when trying to make the copy of my pictures folder to the TC?(I will try to post the exact error when i get back to my computer) and some more... Is there a better way to sync iphone4 videos b/c iphoto seems to be the worst for that. hmm maybe thats what is causing all the problems with the copy? i really need some pro help cause im dealing with years and years of irreplaceable information that I WILL NOT lose forever b/c of another faulty apple product (sorry jobs but im a bit sour over this whole ordeal.) Any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED and please bear with me as this is my first time posting on apple discussions. i usually just read over other peoples posts that relate to problems i encounter. thanks again!!

I've not used the "Find Duplicates" feature (just experimented with it a bit), but it might of help. It finds what appear to be duplicates; you'll still have to figure out whether they're really redundant.
