Nothing opens when I click on my files to open and update my files.

I have two previously created websites in Dreamweaver CS5. I am trying to make my yearly updates to these. When I try to open the files I have saved, they only open as html pages. I try the open with option, and choose open with dreamweaver. but the dreamweaver icon simply pops up in my dock, and nothing happens.
I can not get anything to open, and need this figured out ASAP!

Sounds like something might have gone corrupt in DW, or possibly you updated your OS past DW. When DW starts acting up, I'll generally turn on my OS's hidden files and then try clearing the program cache and restoring preferences...

If you've recently installed OSX Mavericks or Yosemite, you might have inadvertently killed DW by removing the old Java SE6 that the older versions of DW still need to run. If that's the case, you can get it here:

Since the last update, I cannot attach a file to my email in MobileMe. It has always worked until the latest update. Now, nothing happens when you click on the paper clip icon and 'choose' the file to add.

I am using MobileMe on my Mac. Until the last update a few days ago, Firefox always allowed me to attach files to my emails. Now, when I click on the paper clip, and it takes to me find the file I want to attach, and I highlight the file I want to attach and click on 'open', nothing at all happens. the screen just goes back to my email. It always worked before, it does not now. It DOES work on Safari but I hate Safari, i want to use firefox.

-> Clear Cookies & Cache

-> Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
Check and tell if its working. Hope that helps!

I can't open .jar file, nothing happens when I click on the .jar file.
I have MAC OS 10.6.8
The thing it, I have desktop application that I'm building on Netbeans and when I compile and deploy it... it runs from Netbeans folder where I have all the files but copying the .jar on the desktop. It says "The Java JAR file "blablabla.jar" could not be launched check the Console for possible error messages"
Any idea or solution will be appreciated.

These are Java files. http://www.java.com/en/ is where you can get the latest Java for your operating system. If your Java files need an older version of Java, there are instructions on the web to downgrade Mac Java, but it is difficult, and poses security issues.

Numbers 09 not working - I can open the program but only a few files are available, missing blank, checklist and many others. e.g when I click on a file I get this error: The document "nmbtemplate is invalid. The index.xml file is missing. help.

Here is what is going on:
Numbers in iWork 09 not working can't access Blank, Checklist and many other files within Numbers. I can open the program but only a few files are available. When I click on the file (which also has no icon just the name of the file) this warning appears:

I recently had to get a new hard drive installed and had the system upgraded and more memory put in by a Mac certified specialist recommended to me from the Apple store in Northbrook because this was the 3rd time my drive went bad but this time it was to old (I got the IMAC- in 2007) and the Apple store could no longer work on it this time so they recommended a few places that had certified Mac specialists. Since then Numbers is not working right.
I'm sure it's something simple to fix, but I've tried re installing it and that didn't work. Appreciate any help.

There is one way its getting fixed. Once I update my Adobe Illustrator CC to Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 it is further allowing me to go into the system folder and allocate the font to the file so that it can replace it. My only concern now is that our MAC partners who will receive these files back from us have Adobe CS6. We will down save it to CS6 but I hope they won't experience any font issues because of us using CC 2014? Any light you can shed on this?

"program access and defaults" is not the place to remove programs in Windows. You need to go to the control panel and click on Add and Remove programs. For instructions on how to uninstall Firefox, see [[Uninstalling Firefox]]

If you followed the instructions in the support article exactly (leaving the machine off for two minutes), then it has a hardware fault. Take it to an Apple Store or other authorized service provider for repair.

You are in the iPad forum.
Open your Applications folder - find Safari in the applications, and double click on the icon in there. You may have a corrupt alias in the dock at the bottom.

When you have a compatible Numbers file in icloud (from Numbers on a mac), then when you invoke Numbers on a device, that file immediately shows up in the main window that lists all documents in Numbers. (Same thing for Pages.)
I haven't used Numbers, only Pages, so I just made a test. Created a Numbers file on the mac and "move to" iCloud. On my iPhone, the file didn't show up - hmm. Then I remembered I had turned off wifi and in settings have 3G data for documents turned off. When I turned on wifi and went back to Numbers, the file appeared.
I suspect you need to import the Excel file into Numbers and then save it as a Numbers file to iCloud, using "move to".

Its a 5.3 GB file. It might takle a while to download.
When done, it may open automatically, but the file will be in your apps folder

Yes, you do need an antivirus app for iOS. However, they don't currently exist because Apple refuses to make their 'proprietary' technical OS specifics freely available as open source code or to any Antivirus companies, who could examine and potentially identify security holes. This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Yu are trying to impoort photos taken by or saved to the iPod, right? If the photos were synced to the iPod then iPhot does not work.

Just for the record, I was having this problem with older versons of Firefox also. It just happened recently and, with the help of this forum (thanks cor-el) suggesting to open Firefox in safe mode and checking add ons, I found the problem. It was the recent update of Mcafee Site Advisor. If you have Mcafee Site Advisor as an add on, disable it and see if that helps. It worked for me.
To disable this add on,
Go to:
Tools/Add ons/Extensions and click: "disable" for this add on and restart Firefox. Hope it works for you too.
P.S. To uninstall Site Advisor altogether, you must do that through Windows Add/Remove Programs.
