Notice of Software Issue for Printer; Is it spam?
I ahve a All in one e printer Product ID is CQ140A and Model C510a. I received a notification claiming I may have faulty software. It asked I download something called "Troubleshoot HP Printeroftware Install." I did. When I stareted it, it stated that the first step is to remove old software, then run troubleshoot, then reinstall software. I stopped. The "help" feature referred me to what appeared to be HP website, and it is there that I used password to get into site, but I could find nothing referrencing the above. Was it Spam? If not, should I try to find the troubleshoot software again. I deleted it fro my desktop where it had been downloaded. I use Windows 7, recently installed in new computer from a crashed earlier computer

I am not sure about the email you got, but you can update the printer directly from its front panel assuming you have it connected to the internet. See the document here for information.

Third Party Software Issues for Tungsten E2
I got a Palm Tungsten E2 for Christmas, and so far I'm loving it. However, I've had some problems downloading software for it. I'd like to be able to put some games on it, and yet nothing I've tried so far have worked. I couldn't even get the Solitaire that came with the Palm on a CD to download. I have Windows Vista, so I don't have access to Quick Install. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

View Solution.Which version of Vista do you have on your computer? If it's the 64-bit version, you cannot use the USB cable to HotSync. Palm has not written drivers for USB/Vista64.

Stop getting software update for printer I no longer have
I continue to receive software update notifications for a Cannon Inkjet printer that I replaced two years ago with an HP. I have deleted all Cannon software and applications I can find via spotlight. These notifications are embedded in the OS X notification "update available." How do I get rid of them?
Have you checked System Preferences > Printers & Scanners to make sure the Canon printer is removed? If not, remove it.
If the printer does not appear in (1) above, reset the printing system.

Firefox 4.0 support for printing embedded PDF files in iFrames via JavaScript
I recently upgraded to Firefox 4.0 and can no longer print embedded PDF documents contained in an iFrame.
My company's web application has several pages which load PDF files from a Servlet into an iFrame. The pages in question all have "Print" buttons which when clicked executes a JavaScript function to obtain reference to the iframe containing the PDF, place it into focus() (e.g., frames['pdfdoc'].focus();), and invoke print() (e.g., frames['pdfdoc'].print();). There are no errors, or exceptions caught when the JavaScript function is invoked, but the "Print" button is no longer operational.
Does Firefox 4.0 no longer support iFrames? The issue goes away if I revert back to ver 3.6.16I have same issue for printing embedded PDF files in iFrames via JavaScript in Firefox 5.0.
In previous versions it was working fine. But not in Firefox 4.0/5.0.
Is there any solution for this problem? -
30EA3- 2.*: Weird performance issues for editing objects
Hi,
I noticed weird performance issues for editing objects: when right-clicking on them in the navigator tree and selecting Edit, you get the old progress dialog "Connected to database XXX". This stays on screen a lot longer than it ever did (last sequence I edited over 30 seconds!).
Cancelling displays a "Error retrieving schemas" dialog, but then opens the Edit dialog correctly. No further side effects noticed, so I think sqldev is adding useless overhead here.
If confirmed, can this be bugged and/or fixed by production?

Selective restore to solve software issues
Hello,
My 2011 MacBookPro has been having software issues for about 6 months now and I've decided it's time to do a restore. But, I don't want to bring all my files from my backup in case the root of the software issue is in there. So, I want to just bring over my pictures, documents, music and photos. My question is what library preferences and setting files I should also drag over? Any recommendations on what specific folders to bring over would be much appreciated. Let me explain somethings... in these clips with Warp Stabilizer effect, the bar render is Yellow but the image freezes with Mercury Playback Aceleration. I think my GPU cant render this. If I try to export, the message error is a generic "Error compiling movie. Unknow error". So, I tried to put any Distort video effect, the bar render now is Red, and I can playback and export, but the flicker issue occurs.

Hello, I am getting a Kern Protection failure error message when trying to start up my Olympus DSS Player dictation software. I have been using the software without issue for years until last month. HP 6600 Scan\Print Driver Issue for Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
Hello,
For some time now I have been unable to scan or print from my desktop (Windows 7 Professional 64bit) and I have exhausted too much effort and am now bringing it to the masses.
The problem:
Printing: Currently receiving an "Error - Offline" message in my printer queue at all times.
Scanning: Scanning has never fully worked on this desktop. I am always unable to communicate with the printer. (Though webscan works through accessing the printers IP address)
Things I have tried:
Ran HPPSDr, followed directions (Unpluged power to printer, turn back on, restart computer) brings me to this website after it cannot fix. (Note that while the HPPSDr is running it always notions that there is a driver problem)
Uninstalled Drivers from CD-ROM, re-installed, countless times
Installed "Windows 7 Pro 64 bit drivers" from the HP website and uninstalled, countless times.
Attempted to set a static IP and use "Update IP Address" to point specifically at the printers IP.
Installed Drivers and finding the printer myself through it's own static IP address.
Turned off firewall and attempted to print (after reboot), same errors
Setting up the printer on all of my laptops (3) wirelessly to attempt to find if there is a problem with the printer or static IP. (1 is Windows VISTA 32bit and the other 2 are Ubuntu 32bit). All laptops are able to use the printer wirelessly without any problems.
Read all of the forums about this issue and attempted all of the 'solutions'. Although I mostly don't see that anyone with this same problem is resolved, unless I'm missing the perfect post.
Things I have not tried:
Plugging the USB directly into the desktop. (This seems self defeating as the purpose for this printer was to be able to print wirelessly to it from across the room)
Re-installed Windows 7 Pro 64bit (Trying to avoid this, would rather just print from laptops)

Curiosities:
I have noticed strange things that make me believe the driver is somehow incomptable with my OS. Here is a shot of the properties of the printer:
Weird that it is not recognizing the model number.
Also in the Printer Settings when I go to the port tab, there is no port selected, if I try and tab away it forces me to select a port, yet when I do and 'apply' and then re-open the Printer Settings in the ports tab; it has again unselected the previously selected port.
Theories:
I feel like my OS is just refusing to notice the IP address for the wireless printer, no matter what I have it set to, even if it's dynamic. It's like the driver for Windows 7 Pro 64bit is actually not the correct driver for my system.
Anyways, another thing to mention is that I am not currently willing to wipe my operating system and re-install Windows 7 Pro in order to resolve this just yet. I want to see if anyone else has any other avenues I can try before even beginning to consider that.

First try to click the Windows icon, type services in the Search box, and then click or tap View Local Services. Scroll down to the Windows Installer. Startup type should be - Automatic, and Service Status should be - started
Restart the computer after this step and try installing Hp Officejet 6600 again.

Can anyone tell me if there is a new printer software/driver for Laserjet 1300 for Windows 7 64-bit?
I recently replaced my 2 Windows XP Media Center computers. I have a new Desktop with Windows 7 Ultimate and a Laptop that has Windows 7 Professional. I have an HP Laserjet 1300 printer that I would like to connect with my desktop. This printer still works. Keeping it would save me money. Can anyone give me the link to the Laserjet 1300 software/driver for Windows 7 64-bit?

Hi Nogot7, you will have to share 3100 over your network.
On the XP computer .....
Open Printers and Faxes.
Right-click the printer you want to share, and then click Sharing.
On the Sharing tab, click Share this printer and then type a share name for the shared printer.
On the Win 7 computer ....
Go to Devices and Printers
Add a printer
Add a local printer
Select Create a new port:
Select Local Port for the Type of port:
Enter the network name of the XP computer ie. \\XPcomputername\share name
Install the 3100 driver when prompted (DO NOT use the CD but the Win 7 built in driver)

Print layout - Goods issue & Issue for Production
I designed two print layouts separately 1 in Goods issue for Goods issue in inventory module
and 1 in Issue for production for Issue for production in production module.
If i take a print preview or print in Issue for production , it will reflects the print layout designed in Goods issue.

I think, are you duplicate the Goods issue PLD Template to Issue for Production PLD Template on Duplicate Layout Template.

HP Laserjet 3055 printer "waiting for printer to be available" after HP Printer Software Update 3.0
I have an HP Laserjet 3055 All-in-One Printer. It has been printing just fine from my iMac running OS 10.9.5 (Mavericks) until after the HP Printer Software Update, Version 3.0, that I installed on 1 Oct 2014. Although the 3055 is shown as connected/idle to my iMac via USB, after clicking "PRINT" for a document, the print queue status soon changes from "printing" to "waiting for printer to become available", and the printer never becomes available. I have tried rebooting everything (printer, computer, text software), checking USB cable connections and changing USB ports, deleting and re-adding the 3055 printer (numerous times!) even after resetting the print system, but could there be something inherently wrong with the latest HP driver (version 19.9 for HP Laserjet 3052)? Or is it possible something else is going on? In other words, I have exhausted all the solutions I've found in these and other forums to no avail.
I have tested this printer by connecting it to my MacBook Pro (also running OX 10.9.5) but without having installed the HP Printer Software Update, Version 3.0. (Hadn't gotten around to this update...) The printer works fine, even though the driver has the same version number--19.9 for HP Laserjet 3052. So could the version 19.9 driver in the latest HP Printer Software Update be corrupted? Is there any way to reinstall that driver? Or copy the 19.9 driver from my MacBook Pro and install it on the iMac? HP only refers to the Apple Software Update process for Mavericks compatible drivers for this printer. Can I manually uninstall the HP driver for the Laserjet 3055 from my iMac and then have the iMac download the driver again in the process of re-setting up the 3055? Any suggestions appreciated.Many thanks for your suggestions. After creating a bootable back-up, I tried the first suggestion--downloading and re-installing the HP printer driver update kit for which you kindly provided the link--but to no avail. Before downloading the driver update kit, I "reset the printing system", clearing all the installed printers, queues, etc. After re-installing the HP printer drivers, I went to System Preferences>Printers & Scanners to once again add the HP LaserJet 3055 only to discover it was already listed as installed! This I find baffling, to say then least. I tried printing and again got the "waiting for printer to be available" message. I subsequently tried deleting and re-adding the printer, going through the printing system reset again, but still no-go.
I also tried another approach to adding the printer which perhaps will shed some light on the problem. After clicking on the "+" button to add the printer, I select the "HP LaserJet 3055" which shows up as available via USB. Then, instead of using the "HP LaserJet 3052" driver that automatically appears in the "Use" [choose a driver] field, I chose "Auto Select" to see what happens. As the computer processes this request, the status message changes from "Gathering printer information..." to "Waiting for printer to become available..." And, of course, it never becomes available. This strikes me as odd, that the printer set-up system "sees" the printer accurately enough to list it as available to add but can't find it with the "Auto Select" approach to getting the appropriate driver. Of course, when I simply go with the "Use HP LaserJet 3052" driver option that, naturally enough, is the one automatically suggested by the printer set-up system, the printer is "successfully" added. I say "successfully" in quotes because it never becomes "available" to print something.
Before I try your second suggestion--downloading and re-installing the 10.9.5 combo update--I wonder if it's possible that the printing system reset process is "broken". It's as though the reset fails to clear the printer queue, making it appear that there is a pending printing job that the system is waiting to be finished. Also, as noted above, I reset the printing system prior to re-installing the HP printer driver update kit and then, after installation, the HP LaserJet 3055 magically had already been added. This makes me wonder if the printer wasn't properly "cleared" from whatever makes up the printer System Preference process during the reset.
Any other thoughts?
