Notice problem with addon said to deleate did now firefox will not work
received a notice ad lock was causing problems with Firefox. It said to delete and restart Firefox. I did and now I can not get it to work. It said it is running but I can not find it. So it must be running in the background.
I tried to uninstall but it said it is running and I can not shut it down. How do I get my computer working again?
I have turned to computer off twice with no luck at getting Firefox to run again.
Adblock shouldn't give that error. You must've downloaded Adblock from somewhere other than AMO (addons.mozilla.org) or the official site (adblockplus.org)
Anyway, you might want to try Safe Mode to see if you can open it up,

If it opens, then it's probably a problem with your extensions.

I was logged in to reply in the thread "Firefox will not work with paypal". I spent the better part of an hour carefully composing that reply, testing cases, providing links, etc... [Hint: Firefox, unlike other browsers, has a problem with scripts from server paypalobjects.com.] Because I had taken so long to compose the reply, it seemed like a good idea to check it via the Preview button, but I got a message that that function was not available. Of course I decided to submit it anyway, but when I hit "Submit" I got a message "You don't have permission ..." - at which point I was (stupidly) on a different page with that message, and everything I had composed was gone!
It might be too late for this, but it's what I use when this happens. Prepare for deep nerdom:
* Open the web console below the error page by pressing Ctrl+Shift+k
* Right-click the blank area and turn on logging of the request and response bodies
* Resubmit the request by clicking the reload button
* Click the new URL that appears to open the viewer showing the headers and bodies
There you may be able to copy out the content of your post from the Request Body. You can use a word processor or text editor to find/replace the + characters back to spaces. -
I purchased Adobe photoshop elements II and Adobe premiere elements II. They are both on one disc. My computer crasded and I had to reload Windows. I only have one serial number and it only works with photoshop II. The same serial number will not work for Premiere. I dont have any other serial numbers. What do I do???

I am getting a bit concerned about what is happening in your situation. Yesterday you posted your question in at least two different forums, one of them being here in the Premiere Elements Forum.

Wherever you posted, the reply was to contact Adobe via its Adobe Chat. It is the only one who can sort out this matter for you.
In the thread cited above I offered to help you with the difficulties that you were having visualizing the Adobe Chat in its web page. I was waiting for your follow up on that in the above thread. Instead, I find your same question in a new Adobe Premiere Elements Forum thread this afternoon with no refer the prior threads or prior recommendations given you.
I will also mention again...when you buy the Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements bundled in one packaging and with installation files for each on the same installation disc, each program has its own serial number. The Photoshop Elements serial number does not work for Premiere Elements and vice versa. The serial numbers are on labels on a box which houses the installation disc envelope(s). So, if you purchased both programs and found the Photoshop Elements serial number, then the Premiere Elements serial number should be in a label right underneath the label with the serial number for Photoshop Elements. I recall writing this in your yesterday's thread on this matter.

I have a G4 with system 10.4.11 and a 6 pin firewire trying to transfer files to my new iMac system 10.8.3, 9 pin firewire. Apple sold me FireWire 9-6 with a Thunderbolt to FireWire Adapter. This will not work, do i need a different cable?

Accidentally copied microsoft word icon to desk top. Now program will not work. Error message says cannot be opened because of problem. How do I re-install ?
Drag the Word icon back to where it belongs.
Applications > Microsoft Office 2011 > Put Word there.
I'm assuming you have Office 2011. If you have 2008 there should be a similar location to put Word. -
Silverlight 5 WebBrowser Control - Is the SL5 WebBrowser control is set to work in IE7 mode only? I have a 3rd party web site I'm hosting and now they will not work with IE 7 Compatibility mode. Looks like this control can't detect I'm setup for IE 9. I'm

It may be that it is stuck loading. You will want to probably first attempt a Hard Reset (Home Button + Power Button for 5-10s until it restarts with an Apple Logo then let it load up) and see if this will get it working.

Error Received MAC Mavericks with CS5.1... FILE.OPEN will not work
I was just told CS5.1 is no longer supported by Adobe chat and to use this venu, so here it goes.
1) Operating System: MAC 10.9 Mavericks
2) Photoshop Version: 5.1
3) Problem:
* FILE>OPEN selection from the dropdown menu in the upper left Task Bar of the Graphical User Interface will not work.
- Problem Description:
* Selecting FILE>OPEN presents an error box with the message "Could not complete your request because of a program error."
4) Trouble Shooting:
- Fully reinstalled photoshop.
- Fully updated photoshop.
- Updated the computers version of Java (Java 7 Update 45).
- Adjusted the security settings for the operating system.
5) Misc Information
- I just purchased this Photoshop and registered with it a week ago.
What can I do?Known problem with Mavericks. In view deselect CoverFlow option for say List.

Firefox will not work with Google, GMail, or Google Search
I have a client that uses Google for e-mail and calendar. I am constantly on this site. I noticed last Friday that Google, GMail and Google search will not work on Firefox. When I go to the website for my client it spins says connecting and then just stops. When I try to put a search in the Google search box nothing happens. It's like I did absolutely nothing.
I need this access. I use Firefox because I develop websites and like the developer add-ons. There has to be a fix for this. Please let me know when this is fixed.I opened Firefox in Safe Mode and there was no difference. I also found the file cookies.sqlite and renamed it cookies.sqlite.old. I deleted the 2 other cookies files. Still no difference. I am still unable to get a google search or log into a google account.

The Photoshop has always worked well with the Minolta DimAge A2 using the RAW format. Now, it will not. Strange that Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 Ultimate works fine and cost less tha $100... Any responses out there about that?
