Is there a way to put pending ichat message on the menu bar listed above. I found one application but then I need to us it instead of Ichat which I am not prepared to do. It would look like the red icon above but list pending chat messages. I get messages at work but am sometimes so focused I don't hear them. People get upset as they expect their messages responded to more quickly. I know there is adium but that is like giving up ichat entirely which I don't want to do.

2) Are these people who are getting upset about your delayed chatting work-related? Are they important to worry about disrupting work for chat sessions?
3) If they ARE so important, look into iChat Preferences, and adjust the alerts section of the Preferences.
if these people are not so important as to interrupt your focused work habits?
Then tell them to kindly "chill"...you have a job to do.

Well, I have used the Spry menus, and bought other CSS menu widget, but one problem that I have with both is
that for some reason (me) when I try to update them, never works, I end up re-doing them all again, and my lack
of knowlege of CSS (getting better) was always a problem
I try to use FW, (first time ever) and believe that this may be it.
Oh well, I may have to change the menu, because it looks just weird

No, but the upgrade removed unneeded PowerPC code and changed the way free space is determined.

Yes.
If you double click on a PDF and your system uses 8 to open it, you may have to repair (Help>Repair... in Reader) the 9 installation or you could change your file associations to use 9 to open PDF files.
If 9 opens them already, just remove 8 and you're good to go.

Have you gone to the Photoshop Help menu and selected Help > Activate... You need an internet connection to do this. All you have to do is follow the steps.
What is activation? Photoshop used to be unlocked with a serial number only. However software pirates simply passed the numbers around to unlock multiple copies without paying for the license.
As of Photoshop CS3, activation requires a connection to a remote server that validates the machine it was installed on on order to launch Photoshop. You are allowed to activate on two computers. Any change in hardware means you have re-activate.
We are basically volunteers not Adobe employees. If you cannot activate your copy as instructed, call customer service and they can help you by resetting the activations.
Unless you signed up for email notifications, it's best to recheck the forums to see if anyone answered your question.

Some phones can only send and recieve SMS messages. If the recipients phone doesn't support MMS they won't be able to recieve a text with a photo.
To get your photos in Photo Stream, you'll need to setup iCloud. Check out this Apple article for more info -> iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ

So if you still have your iPhone 4S backup in order and ready to use, you might try:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings
... and then start the iPhone 5S setup once again.
It could be that the original seller did not set up the iPhone quite right.

You don't need to upgrade your software. But if you're struggling with Spry, IMO you should cut your losses and switch to something better for the longrun.
If you have a budget to work with, I highly recommend Project Seven's Pop-Menu Magic 3. It's easy to use in DW CS4, 5, 6 or CC. More importantly, it's bullet proof and works in all devices.

I noticed that I have a cFP-AI-118-Cal - what is it?

I was doing some testing on some other modules in my cFP system recently, and in MAX noticed that one of my cFP-AI-118 modules appears as a cFP-AI-118-Cal. I immediately investigated its configuration in MAX and found that it has 16 counting inputs that cannot be configured for anything but 0 to 65535 counts, and the only attribute I can set is a noise rejection of 10 Hz. I tried setting it to a cFP-AI-118 is the Device Configuration tab, but it said that module does not match the one installed. I have four other cFP-AI-118 modules, and they all behave as expected. I haven't tried counting with it, mainly because I don't know what channels are the inputs. Am I missing a setting or something? I changed it to a different slot on the backplane, and MAX reflected the change when I hit "Find Devices" again.
I'm using a cFP-1808 backplane. Aside from this, I have another AI-118 module, an AI-112, two TC-120 modules, and two CTR-500 modules. I have MAX 4.0.0.3010 installed. I recall having to install a new version of the Field Point software to have it work with the cFP-1808 backplane, but I do not recall the version number.
Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with the module or my settings?

Hello Jim,
A module description with a Cal at the end is a special module used internally at National Instruments for development and verification of Fieldpoint devices. This module will not function as a regular analog input module and will need to be replaced. I'm not sure how one of these modules ended up in your hands (probably a shipping mistake) but I would call 1-866-275-6964 (ASK-MYNI) to arrange to have your module replaced.

Windows 2000 prof. I noticed that I have both versions 3.6 and 6.02 installed when i checked the this in the add/remove program in the control panel. Can i remove the v3.6?

I have windows 2000 professional operating system version 5.0.2195 service pack 4 build 2195. I usually logged on as "user1". When i clicked on firefox it will try to install update but will return a message that update cannot be installed "please make sure that there are no other copies of firefox running on your computer". But there are no other copies of firefox running.
I checked the add/remove program in the control panel and found out that I have ver3.6.10 and ver6.0.2 installed.
Can i remove the ver3.6.10 using the uninstall button in the add/remove program?
Another problem is that I cannot logged in as "administrator".
When i logged in as "administrator" the computer just shut down and restart by itself while loading my desktop icons.

You should be able to delete Firefox and remove it, from your Windows XP control panel although that may not be what you intend.
If you have doubts about compatibility stay with Firefox3.6 for now.
Some software extensions will currently have problems with firefox 4 (and that iircc may include some versions of silverlight )
Do NOT use any delete settings (or whatever it is worded) that will loose all your passwords and bookmarks.
BTW the safe mode in relation to Firefox is a totally different concept from Windows safe mode, but you probably have no need to use either of them.

On an ordinary upgrade Firefox will preserve your profile details which include bookmarks any passwords.
You should have no problems in installing Firefox 4. You should be able to install firefox 4, and retain any bookmarks etc that were used in firefox 3.6, but sometimes extensions may be incompatible.

According to the help page i was viewing my Late 2011 13' MacBook Pro should support Airplay Mirroring. However the airplay icon does not appear on my menu bar like i says it should and when i go to System prefereneces>Display nothing appears there about Mirroring as well (like it says it should). The help page specifically says that Late 2011 MacBook Pros should support Mirroring etc...
Any suggestions? I'm all ears...

My i tunes does not have a ringtones option on the menu bar or under preferences. How do I get this folder to show up?

I am trying to use a short mp3 file as a ringtone. So far every website has told me that all I have to do is drag the file into the "ringtones" folder that is located in the menu bar on the left side of I-tunes. I don't have this folder. Again, every website tells me to simply go to "Edit" and then "Preferences" and to click on the ringtones box and then the folder will magically appear. My itunes is the latest 10.5 version but somehow I don't have this option. What is wrong with my i tunes?

Yep... strange move on Apple's part.
The quick solution would be to get hold of a Concert from MS 2 with the right layout etc, and then open it in your MS3.
Slower would be to make your own layout using Grouped Controls for the pedal layout you'd like, then assign to incoming MIDI as needed (Switches etc), then map to the effects controls in Edit mode.
You'll need to be careful how you setup the Screen Control backgrounds.

AirPlay icon keeps appearing in menu bar even though no devices are available

I've been experiencing this issue on my 2014 MacBook Air ever since I upgraded to Yosemite.
The AirPlay icon will randomly pop up in the menu bar and when I click on it, there are no AirPlay devices detected (which means the icon should have never popped up in the first place).
The frequency in which this occurs appears to be completely random. Sometimes it will go a week or two between occurrences and other times it will pop up several times a day. Over the last week, it's been popping up every day (what finally prompted me to make this post).
I've tried disabling both wireless and Bluetooth when the icon appears and it doesn't seem to have any effect.
This is starting to get really annoying. There's always that little part of me that's worried about somebody seeing me type in my credit card info or something.
Anyway, has anybody else experienced this? If this is some sort of bug, is Apple aware of it? Is there any way to just disable AirPlay altogether?

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.
