Notification of "Golden Star"

Hi,
I am getting a "Golden Star" notification icon on my device's notification area. I am unable to remove it. What can I do now? Plz guide me through the way.

Update depends on you , if you wish to continue you can do it or just ignore those update . But most often those " Golden Star " notification are always from any 3rd party application but not from any BlackBerry native applications like App World , Twitter, Facebook , BBM etc. you should always update those native BlackBerry apps .
You can simply go to your main message box and search and locate that notification message , Once you're able to locate you can highlight that message then press the menu key > Select " Mark Read " then if needed perform a battery pull restart.
Or highlight a date ( select today's date ) Press the Menu key > Select " Mark Prior Read " then perform a battery pull restart .

Notification of Temporary Password

Every couple of months about this time I get a notification "Thank you for your request to obtain a temporary password." Have not requested it. When I go into my account, I can't sign in. So I know someone/some process has changed my password. Sometimes I can get in by answering the security question. Today, the security question was changed too so I had to request a new password. Very easy. Just sent me a new one. Is this security? Seems all you need is an account name and email address and gain access to an account. Seems too easy if you ask me.
I called tech services the first couple of times this happened and they never were able to tell me a thing!

I accidentally lost a mail add on that I really liked, but I cannot find. The new one recommended is not working for me. Can anyone help?

the icon was a very small white envelope that had a golden star and a tally of mail
it was easy to install -- only needed e-mail, not server
(I have mail through road runner)
brought up the email address so you could click and it would take you to the list, bypassing password

I still can't get it to work that way. I changed my cfexecute to:

I still can't get it to run the exe. I have watched the process list while running this and the exe doesn't show up. I tried cfexecute on the exe directly before trying the bat method, with hard coded arguments, and it still didn't work. I am so lost right now this makes no sense to me.

Argh! InDesign crashes when I backspace.

When ever I hit the delete key more than once, say to backspace/delete part of a word, InDesign crashes. I try not to backspace of course, but it's a common thing. Is there a fix?

I wouldn't know because I'm on a PC, but wasn't this particular problem fixed with one of the later [*] updates of CS3? My Windows version has been updated to the bitter end, latest was 5.0.4.

I no longer see the padlock sign when on https sites. Why? And is the web page secure?

When making payments etc on https sites I used to get a padlock symbol on the address line or bottom right hand corner tool bar. This was a symbol I had been told to check for to ensure the page is secure. I no longer see the padlock symbol on https sites since I upgraded to Firefox 4? On the tool bar at the top all I get is the golden star for book marking a page and nothing on the bottom tool bar.Why? And is the page still secure?

Gold icon on home screen

Today a random gold icon appeared on my blackberry 8520 homescreen and i cant get rid of it, i went through my messages folder as friends suggested tht to c if it was an app update but there are no messages there about it? im baffled and want rid of it any suggestions?

It's an invitation to download, I think that's a Ram Optimizer. Try open your App World and exit or try to look at your Messages. Find that Ram Optimizer, open it and exit. The yellow/gold star should be disappear.

Windows Vista Startup Manager after Bootcamp startmanager.

Every time i start with option key pressed i can choose the operating system to start. Thats right. And fully funktional to Leopard, but if i choose Windows it takes hew minutes and then the Windows Vista internal OS startup manager starts, the only system to choose is Vista, but its not funktional. I cant use any keys or arrows or tab.
After restart it starts correctly but takes much longer compare as it was under Tiger with Bootcamp beta.
Any ideas?

"event cannot be created...server error", and more

I have NEVER been able to reliably or consistently have iCloud sync calendar events between my iPhone5, iCloud and MacBook Pro (all running latest software). Occassionally if I enter an event on the phone it'll show up on the iCloud account (and vice versa), but certainly not always, or even most of the time. Events entered on the Mac virtually never sync to anywhere else. [Contacts, no problem.] I tried reinstaling Mntn Lion and for about five minutes several test events from each of the three sources (phone, iCloud and pwrbk) did show up in the other places but then it reverted to the inconsistent, useless behavior as before.
Now I can't even create events on the web: when I try I get a message: "This event couldn't be created because of a server error; please try again." This happens regardless of browser (Chrome, Safari or Firefox). Tried creating a new iCloud acct but no work.
Is anyone able to help: would appreciate (love, love, love) a step by step walk through the necessary steps on each device to make thi happen. Without this functionality I have to always carry around the Pwrbk to have my calendar available, missig out on one of the major functionalities offered by these devices.

I used to have 2 calendars on my Mac before using iCloud (Home and Work) and I backed them up by exporting to .ics files. I had so much headache with the iCloud syncing that decided to create a new Apple ID and to start everything new.
I first imported the Home and Work ICS files into my Mac and then I created a new "Family" calendar for my family's activities. Only the new Family calendar gets synced by iCloud. The Home and Work calendar would not get synced. I tried entering my calendar item from Mac and from my iPhone. Only the new Family calendar gets synced. So weird.
And when I tried entering something from iCloud.com, I get the same "This event couldn't be created because of a server error; please try again." message.
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Cant get rid of star notifications

Hi all, I have a BB Curve 8330 and until recently had no issues. Yesterday, I received a call in a dead zone and when I was back in a live zone, there was no record of the call, but there was a star on the Call Log and a 'missed call' notification in the upper right corner of the screen. The call is not important, I know who it was and all that - the problem is that I can't get rid of the star notification and the missed call icon. I've tried rebooting, removing and replacing battery, and messing around with options - but nothing works. I am stuck with the star and the missed call icon, which is annoying because if another missed call comes up, I don't know unless I ferret it out.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Now Classic Star Schema is not used.
In a Star schema, one dimension represents one table. These dimension tables surround the fact table,which contains the facts (key figures), and are linked to that fact table via unique keys, one per dimension table. Each dimension key uniquely identifies a row in the associated dimension table. Together these
dimension keys uniquely identify a specific row in the fact table.

Why when using Adobe Bridge, I apply a star rating, the rating does not show up in Photoshop Elements. I use Elements as my organizer and Bridge to view as it is much more user friendly. Anyone any solutions??

Most likely you have set the wrong file as the external editor. You don't want the obvious one; that's just a link to the welcome screen. Go back and choose this one, which is hidden away inside the folder Support Files:

Can't Directly Rate my Images using Stars in Adobe Bridge CS3

Hi
I can rate my images in Adobe Bridge CS3 by using the drop down 'Label' menu. However, I cannot rate my image by stars directly under my image thumbnails as my book suggests I can. The book states: "You can also assign stars directly under the thumbnail by clicking on the dots".
Is there anyway I can do this? Do I have to change some preferences?

try resetting your preferences by holding Ctrl right after you launch Bridge(you have to be fast, you'll get a dialog box if you succeeded)
Though you'd need to do this only if you are doing it correctly in the first place. With a picture selected you'll notice 5 small dots beneath its thumbnail which you can click on to rate things. If you don't see the dots then increase the thumbnail size by adjusting the slider at the bottom of the screen
