Notification, but no updates available

I'm notified that updates are available for my apps, but when I choose to update them, it says no updates are available.  For instance, there's a red number indicating that 3 updates are available, but when I click the update option, it searches, then says all apps are up to date.  What can I do to fix this?

There is no fix. It's a glitch because of iOS 7. Those are legitimate updates, but iPod touch 4G does not have the latest software. It's just something non-iOS 7 users (through choice or need) will have to live with until it is fixed.

  • IPad Apps showing (3) but no update available

I have purchased few Apps and now getting updates, Apps on right side of iTunes showing 3 but no update is available whenever I am checking for update.
What is the problem? can I get rid of this number in front of Apps?

My problem had different reason, and old app from another store/country, was locking my updates and downloads.Workaround that worked for me; delete app that you bought from different countries stores (you used different login) that maybe getting an auto update, and just leave app being update of the store you are logged on (main store) (I just had one old app) >>> check for downloads in store menu >>> they should start >>>> after download login in the other country store and buy the application again, if store/copyright permits (should be free if you paid before). In summary..auto updates do not work if from multiple/different accounts/country stores. Hope it works. Best

  • We have an ipod 3 and every time we try to download an app it tells us we need to update to 4.3 and our version is 4.2.1 but no updates available what do we do

We just bought a used ipod generation 3 and we are trying to download some games and every game requires the update of 4.3. and ours is at 4.2.1 but it tells us it is up to date and how are you able to get this version?

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

iPod touch (3rd generation) features a 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch display and 32 GB or 64 GB flash drive. You can browse the web with Safari and watch YouTube videos with Wi-Fi. You can also search, preview, and buy songs from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store on iPod touch.
The iPod touch (3rd generation) can be distinguished from iPod touch (2nd generation) by looking at the back of the device. In the text below the engraving, look for the model number. iPod touch (2nd generation) is model A1288, and iPod touch (3rd generation) is model A1318.

  • Prompted for update but no update available

Turned on my laptop this morning and a box came up saying there was a newer version of Skype.  I clicked on not now and opened up Skype.  When to check for update and it said that I had the latest.  Was the popup box a version of that virus going around acting like it is a valid update?  I think that I last heard of it taking the form of an Adobe update.

6.20 is NOT the latest version. The currently latest version is 6.21.
You cannot rely on Check for Updates. It can take some time before this option starts working in the "next-last" version. I'm not saying that this is right, but it is how this works now in Skype.

  • Cannot open iPhoto, keep getting message that update is required but no update available in App store

iphoto will not open as message occurs that update s necessary but update page shows error has ocurred--what to do?

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

  • Whats the problem, i want to update osx to10.8.2, but no updates available?

I have a macbook pro retina, I deleted my osx base system accindently from the disc utilities, then i cannot enter anymore my mac, when i restart my mac it always got me back to the disc utilities, so i installed osx 10.8 using a flash disk or memory i dont know, when the install is finish , i wanted to update it to 10.8.2, but the mac app store always show me no updates available

Check the build version you are currently using. Click the Apple logo in the top left corner, then About This Mac. Then click on the gray text showing 10.8.0. This will change the view to the build you have. If you have a version other than 12A269 then maybe the USB flash memory was made using a beta seed of 10.8.0 rather than the GM release and this would stop you from being able to upgrade.

  • Adobe Media Encoder needs update but no update available

    Hey,
PP CS5 is prompting me to update AME everytime I try to encode timeline. WHen I go to help --> updates, AME is not listed.
Same thing if I go to adobe.com/go/updates
Says last AME update was put out in Sept. 2010
    Anyone else getting this.
    Thanks

yes that error message has no impact your AME will work fine...
If you are on Windows go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder CS5 and look for PCI-Version.txt file, all you need to do is change 5.0.0 to 5.0.1..

  • OS X Updates Avail Banner - How to stop, I don't want to install Mavericks.  Did Apple Sys Pref Notifications: None for iTunes, Safari, Mail but still popping up.  Thanks for any help.

IMac Desktop computer >OS X Updates Avail Banner - How to stop?  I don't want to install Mavericks.  Did Apple>Sys Pref>Notifications: None for iTunes, Safari, Mail but Banner still popping up.  Thanks for any help.

I have tried unchecking the "Automatically check for updates" in the Software Update control panel. Of course, then you have to remember to check manually periodically for security updates etc. So far, the annoying banners seem to have stopped, but maybe just because I have not waited long enough for them to come back.

  • Nokia 700 says Updates available in notifications.

Hi my phone is up to date but still get update available icon in status bar top of screen.
When I go to Updates available in notifications, the phone checks and then says  your phone is already fully up-to-date.
How do I get rid of notification icon? Its annoying.
    Solved!

    Hi owen101,
    Thanks for your post.
Have you tried going into the Sw Update under the applications menu, press cancel when it tries to check for updates then hit the settings icon which looks like 3 lines in the corner and then where it says Auto-check for updates switch this to off?
Then go into the notifications tab and clear the notification. Then try switching the phone off and on.
If after this you still keep getting the update available notification then try doing a soft reset. This can be done by dialing *#7780# with the default code 12345.
Give this a go and let me know if it helps.

  • Installed Mountain Lion, still getting a notification that an update is available.

Have already installed the Mountain Lion update, but upon initial log in I am still receiving a notification that an update is available  the version the update states is available is the version of OSX already installed on the system.
Does anyone know how to get rid of this?

Re-indexing spotlight didn't work, after re-indexing, I shut down, re-started and got the same thing, I took a few pictures to illustrate exactly what is happening:
After logging in I have this icon (with the arrow pointing to it)
It asks to update to Mountain Lion 1.8.2
The problem is, I have already upgraded to 1.8.2
It will not go away, even after disabling notifications and re-indexing spotlight - it's like the computer is stuck thinking that the upgrade has not bee applied.

  • How to get away the Update Available Notification?

    Hi everyone,
I have completely updated my OS X Mavericks, but since apple update the iTunes 11 to 12, i don't like the design as it won't match to os x mavericks since it make for yosemite( I update to iTunes 12 once but don't like it and make a clean install to reverse back, can reverse back without clean install?), and there will a Update Available notification keep show up, there is only "Update" and "Later" to choose from but there has no "NO" option since I don't want update my iTunes to 12 version(picture below), is there a way to get rid of the Update Nodification ONLY for iTunes 12 and allow for other application, I don't want to close mac app store update notifications, just want to disable for iTunes 12 update, it's annoying!
    thanks for help!

    You can hide the notification.
    Launch App store.
Click the "Update" tab on the top.
Right click on the specific update and choose "Hide Update".
    To reverse it,
App Store  > Store > Show All Software Updates

  • Updates Available Notification

When the notification of 'Updates Available' pops up, I cannot understand why Apple did not include an option to 'see updates.'  I am not installing anything I cannot see (at least a list) but this is not included, only to Install or to select a 'Later.'  Option.  This is one of the most frustrating things I have to deal with, and it is recurring.  How can they miss this?  At least have an option that automatically opens the App Store to the 'Updates' tab, or even list the updates.
