Notification center(banner) issue

got a big issue about banner.
I set up some notifications for APPs, and it works well by telling me the coming information.
HOWEVER, some of them keep showing in banner even I already have checked them. (eg., eBay, CNN international etc..)
Then I try to clikc the "x" on the banner to remove the notification which I  checked.  The issue is, the apps, which I remove from banner, will never send me new notification  as they supposed to do. even they still on the notifications list (which mean I can see them in setting->notifications->in notification center )
does anyone else got this issue?  what should I do ?  Thanks

Scratch this - moving it to the correct category

  • Low level bug: Notification Center Banner

I found a low level bug in iOS 6 recently. Here are screenshots:
You can do with following steps:
    1. Keep your iPhone at Lock Screen
    2. Slide up camera button and in camera mode
    3. Tap the left down corner "Photo Library" while tapping HOME button, bug appeared.

Seems to be a problem among many users.

  • Notification Center in Settings not working.

So I just downloading a few different apps in the last few days and one of them is suppose to have notifications and i set it up to do so. But today i realized for the last day or so I haven't received any notifications from any apps. Not Twitter, Facebook or Words with Friends like i normally would. The lock screen has nothing and the notification center banner is empty. I went into the settings and checked the notifications there and well its has nothing but the loading screen/ circle. Has anyone else had or have thins problem?

    This worked, specifically post #5:
It does work. Just leave your phone locked and send it a SMS from some one elses phone. Then after it alerts you wait 5 Minutes. It will sound the alert again. Just make sure you do not unlock the phone in between. Once you realise it works you will wish it didnt
The reply is 5 years old and refers to an iPhone 3G, which may explain the reference to a 5 minute alert interval, rather than the current 2 (unless that value is variable.  Hey, I'm new here.  )

  • Mountain Lion Notification center issue

I installed mountain Lion in a late 2008 imac. Everything runs smoothly except notification center. i already enabled banners and the other options from notifications settings, but when i receive a message through imessage, no banner is shown, just a badge on the application icon (in dock). Same issue when I receive a new email, application icon is badged but no banner is shown and i cannot see the email (or text from imessage) in totification center.

I have read in other posts that if you send  an email to yourself, it doesn't show up in notification center. So this is what i was doing so far. So the email issue is solved, as I received emails which are now in the notification center and I was notified by a banner in the top left corner of my iMac. The iMessage isuue remains though  as I received many messages from friends and no notification banner poped (Although the message exists in NC.

  • Reminders have issues with push notifications and notification center

For a while now, I've been having the following issue on my iPhone:  I create a reminder, set it to "remind me on a day", and choose a specific time.  No trouble syncing with iCloud across devices.  I have the reminder notifications set on "Alerts", which should require me to acknowledge the reminder before doing anything else, and I have "Show in Notification Center" enabled.
When the time comes, I do hear the sound, and the reminder appears on my lock screen.  However, after it goes away in a few seconds (like it should if I do nothing), and then I pick up the phone later to unlock and use it, the reminder alert is no longer there.  Furthermore, the reminder does not appear in my Notification Center.
Here's an example scenario that will hopefully illustrate this problem:  I set a reminder, then go on about my work day.  Later, I'm in a meeting when the reminder goes off, and I don't immediately check my phone.  10 minutes later when the meeting breaks, I check the phone and see nothing.  Prior to this issue happening, I used to have to acknowledge the reminder alert before doing anything else with the phone.  This is causing me to miss important reminders, and it used to work brilliantly!
Can anyone help?  I really need this level of harassment from the Reminders app!

Here is what you can try.  First go to Settings/Notifications and locate the App in question and select. Then be sure Allow Notifications is on and that you have selected either Banner or Alerts for Alert Style.
If you have already tried that the best thing to do is to Delete the App for at least 24hrs then reinstall.
What this will do is give you the pop up on first log in asking to Allow Push Notifications. Selecting Yes will authenticate device token and store to server and you should be good to go.
Don't want to wait 24hrs?  Follow these steps.
    Delete App
    Power off device
Turn device back on and go to Settings/General/Date and Time
Turn off Set Automatically then set time at least 24hrs ahead.
Turn device off then back on
Open App Store and download the App
Owen the App and sign in and Accept Push Notifications
Once you get the Pop Up and accept you can now go back to Settings/General/Date and Time and turn Set Automatically back on
Turn device Off then back On and your good to go.

  • Notification center issues

OK here's what I've done so far - and I still can't get Notifications to work:
    1.  Notifications Center fails to load at startup
    2. I find it it System/Library/Core Services, double click on it and it starts up
    3. I include in the login items in my account, just to make sure it loads
    4. The ONLY notifications I want are for Mail. Nothing else.
    5. In System Prefs/Notifications I select "Alerts" for Mail and click on all the other options including "play sound for notifications"
    6. "Do not disturb" is OFF
    7. I send myself an email.
    8. I check incoming mail.
    9. the email arrives and I see a badge on the Mail icon, but I get NO NOTIFICATION ALERT and NO SOUND.
    10. I read everything I can find here and elsewhere about why Notifications doesn't work. I try everything suggested except the really dumb suggestion about going to the AppleStore to see an Apple Genius.
    ANY SUGGESTIONS?

P.S. another issue is that every time I log in, Notifications Center has turned on "Do Not Disturb" option even though I have it turned OFF in the System Preferences and I want it to stay off.

  • Notification Center center issues on the 4s

Since I got the 4s on Friday I was having issues with the Notifications Center.
First it was duplicating the calender events, then I figured out that it had something to do with iCloud.
Then today I noticed that none of the calender events were appearing in the Center, then they appeared.
Not sure what's going on. Not sure if certain settings need to be on or not. I've tried many different scenarios.
    Does anyone have any thoughts?

try removing growl if u have it installed. after removing growl i started getting imsg notifications... still working on mail notifications...

  • I have apps in my notification center on for notifications (like News apps), with banner and sounds, but i never get the notification from those apps. I tried reinstalling the app and restarting the phone but all in vain

I have apps in my notification center on for notifications (like News apps), with banner and sounds, but i never get the notification from those apps. I tried reinstalling the app and restarting the phone but all in vain

The apps I currently have are for the i phone and i pad but i would like to see this on this computer
On the Mac Air launch iTunes. Then connect either the iPad or iPhone.
Select the iPad or iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window in the source list.
Then select Apps from the menu on the right.
If you don't see the apps listed there, from your iTunes menu bar (top of your screen), click Store > Authorize This Computer.
See if that makes a difference...

  • Facebook and Mail both send banner alerts in notification center for every action on facebook

So I added Facebook to my accounts in Settings.  Then I logged in to Facebook and modified my notification settings so that I would get the notifications I wanted.  Awesome. Works great.  Problem is, these notification settings in Facebook are tied directly to your email on file with facebook -- there's no way (at least that I saw) that allows you to disable getting email from FB, but allow OS X to pull in those same notification settings.
So now in Notification Center, everytime someone interacts with my Facebook, I get an alert from Facebook and an alert from Mac Mail that Facebook was alerting me.  Super redundant.
Anyone find a way around the duplications?

    I'm also having this problem.
Notifications receives alerts from Reminders app, but not Mail.
I've set preferences in Mail for 'Inbox Only' and 'All Mailboxes', sent test mail from ISP webmail and Google (Mail is not setup to receive from this account) - still no notifications.
I had previously used Growl (v1.4) and GrowlMail very successfully (with 10.7), but while upgrading to Mountain Lion I was informed that GrowlMail was incompatible so I deleted it.
While testing this problem of not receiving Mail Notifications I have disabled Growl and rebooted.
    Like others here:
    Checked: Notifications setup
    Checked: Mail setup
    Rebuilt permissions
    Rebooted
Any help would be very gratefully received.
    Many thanks.

  • Calendar banner in notification center

While I appreciate the new 'today' calendar feature I much preferred the old way which the calendar events were displayed in a list in the general notification center.  Any idea how to get this back or if it's even possible?
    Thanks.

Restarting my phone fixed it! Now everything appears.

  • Notification center issue

after i've updated my ipod touch 5th gen to iOS 6.0.1 , the option to tweet or update fb status direct from the notification center has disappeared. why is this happening? is it normal?

Do you have this problem with all networks or only your network? If only your network that points to a problem with your network.
Have you powered off and then back on your router?

  • Email Account Not Shown In Notification Center

    Hi,
I have a few email accounts setup on my iPhone 5 iOS6, two Gmail account (business and personal) and two Exchange accounts (college and Gmail). The account that has the issue of not displaying new mail messages in the notification center is my college Exchange account.
I will hear the sound when new mail arrives, but nothing ever shows up. The Mail app even displays that there is an unread message. However, the notification center never shows the message.
Does anyone have this same problem or any suggestions about a resolution?
This account is, or was previously, set to push. I believe my other exchange account is setup the same way.
