Notification Center Displaced in Menu Bar

Does anyone know how to restore its place to the far right corner of the screen? I can drag it around but not to where it ought to be. Thanks.

Also covers how to put it back.

  • Trying to Center a Spry Menu bar.

    Hi
    I must be a bit stupid as I really can't work this out.... How do I center a Spry menu bar?
    I have tried putting the code in the head of the document page as follows, but it is not working.
    <link href="../../widgets/menubar/SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    <style type="text/css">
    <!--
    /* Give the menu bar a width and set the margins to "auto"
    * so that the browser does the centering.
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal {
         width: 32.2em;
         margin: auto;
    -->
    </style>
    What am I doing wrong?
    Also, If my page is a fixed width of 850px how wide should I make the width of the menu bar?
    Many thanks

  • How to get rid of the notifications center from the menu?

    I unchecked all the "in notifications center" boxes so there is nothing in there. But the notifications center icon is still up there on the menu, over on the right side.
    Is there a way to just get rid of it completely?
    Thanks,
    doug

    From the OS X Finder, hit Command+Shift+G and enter the path to /System/Library/CoreServices/
    Locate “Notification Center.app” and click on the name to rename it to “Notification Center-disabled.app”, authenticate the change when prompted
    Now launch Terminal, found in /Applications/Utilities/ and type the following command:
    killall NotificationCenterQuit out of Terminal
    Notifications will no longer be posted, alerts will be gone, and the menu bar icon is no longer visible. If you do attempt to get to Notification Center either through a keyboard shortcut or the sideways swipe, you’ll be presented with a blank side of the screen.

  • Center A Horizontal Menu Bar

    Ok I have followed the directions of the Adobe site exactly
    as they say. You know specify a width and change the margins to

    it changes it into a vertical menu. How do I fix this? Included is

    hi,
    I am trying to center the whole page but the horizontal menu is not aligned with the rest of the page as it is shown on the attached, only in IE.

  • Is there a way to keep the notification center on the side bar for Yoshimite

    I have a duo screen and it will be really convenient if the notification center is always there on the side for one of my screen. However, every time I click on something else, it disappears. Is there a way to permanently keep my notification on the side?

    You can poke around yourself,  but right off I do not see how this is possible in customizing the plist.
    Finder>Go>Go to folder>
    /System/Library/CoreServices/Notification Center.app
    You can right click to open> Show Package Content.

  • Mail icon not appearing in notification center in settings menu.

    I am not receiving any email notifications after upgrading my iPhone 4 from 6.0.1 to 7.0.2.
    I have checked Settings->Notification Center to see if it is in Include or Do Not Include, however there is no option for Mail anywhere.
    It was there before the upgrade.
    Emails still come in when I open the Mail app but I don't known when a new one has arrived as there is no notification and the badge does not show a new email.
    Do I need to restore and reinstall 7.0.2 or is there something else I am missing?
    Thanks for your help in advance.

    do a reset by holding the power and home button until the apple logo appears ignoring the slide to power off.open your notification after tthe phone restarts and see if the settings for mail appears.

  • Spry horizontal menu, can't center the whole menu bar

    I have a horizontal menu set up more or less how I want it
    (after much time). But I can't seem to figure out how to center the
    entire menu. Adding padding or margins pushes it out beyond the
    700px box even if I resize the menu itself to be smaller than
    700px. The page is here:
    http://peacefuldriver.net/mnguitar/index_dropdown.htm#.
    And the CSS:

    I'm not familiar with the spry menus - but if you were to
    play with the
    padding on this rule (1.85em might just do it) I think you
    can achieve a
    pretty good result......
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal a
    display: block;
    cursor: pointer;
    background-color: #EEEEEE;
    padding: 0 1.5em;
    color: #0000CC;
    text-decoration: none;

    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-position: right;*/

  • How do I rid the Extreme alert notification from the top menu bar?

    I got one of those Extreme alert on my smart phone.  I disabled it however the Notification is still present.  Red Triangle!  How does one remove this?

        Dear RandRat131,
    Good afternoon. Having an unwanted notification can be frustrating. Especially after disabling the notification. It will be my pleasure to address your notification concerns.
    When you drag down your notification bar at the top of your phone, you should see the Extreme alert and a clear to the left. If you press clear and the notification does not go away, please remove the battery from your phone, then put back to your device. When you power your phone back on, the notification should be removed.
    In the event you still have the alert, please feel free to reach out to us. We will be happy to assist you in further troubleshooting. Have a great weekend.

  • My Facebook "click to post" in the notification center is not working. (Mac OSX 10.8.3). what should i do? :(

    When i click the "click to tweet" button, it works, but when i click the "click to post", nothing happens---plus my twitter button wont work afterwards. so i have to restart my mac again. tried removing my fb account then adding it again, but still doesn't work. Any solutions?

    It is most likely because Notification Center alters the menu bar and the dock itself. My facebook and my twitter button won't work properly either, but when i double-click the buttons it works. but i can't understand why your twitter button works once but won't work again.

  • No icon in title bar for notification center

    I have no icon for Notification Center in my title bar.  System prefs seem to show NC is operational, but no icon...

    Read http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2012/07/the-os-x-mountain-lion-survival-guide/
    It may answer your question. NC in Mountain Lion is a bit inconsistent. Hopefully fixes coming soon.

  • Display: Gray horizontal line going through center of Menu Bar?

    I have this strange grey line going through the center of the Menu Bar, al the way through, difficulting the reading of the symbols! Please advise. Thanks, Diego
    Powerbook G4 1.67 High   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

    When I first saw that line on my original 20" iMac I thought it was another artifact of the screen controller on that machine that had a lot of problems (need to get it fixed now that I have my PB to fill in. However, I then saw the same line on my wife's 12" PB and now on my new 15". If you are seeing the same as I am (faint grey line dead center of the menu bar) then I think it is just part of the 3D effect in OSX.

    Beth,
    I did what you said but added a "position: relative;" command which gave me
    a "clickable" box around the whole widget and allowed me to pixel it top
    and  left so hence www.mccanngolfcourse.com/indextry1a.html

    Thank you so much for all the help.

  • How to reposition some of the third party icons on the RHS of the menu bar

    I want to move some third party menu bar items closer to the center of the menu bar display.
    Help says to do a command drag but this does not work on third party icons (and doesn't do much for apple icons either).
    Help!

    Hi, welcome to Apple discussions.
    Menu items can only be flush against the right side of the menu bar -- you can't move them to the center. And as you've discovered, command drag is for re-arranging your set of items, not for re-positioning. Re-arranging only works on Apple menu items and third-party menu items that have reverse engineered Apple's method of writing menu bar items.
    Other third-party menu items are added to the left side of the Apple ones in the order they are ready for service (often their launch order, but not always). The only way to re-arrange these accurately is to write an AppleScript that launches your items in a specific order with a delay between each to insure they are active for service in the same order. Then, remove those menu items from your Login items and replace them with the script.

  • After updating to Firefox 7.0.1, menu bar for Google,yahoo, Facebook (message,notification,profile,home) and others site are disabled. How can solve this problem?

    after updating to Firefox 7.0.1, menu bar for Google(web ,image,video,map etc),yahoo, Facebook (message,notification,profile,home) and others site are disabled. even I cant log out from different sites cz the log out bar is completely disabled. I tried with Firefox 4;5 and 6, same problem exist . I tried by active all add ons for facebook, same problem exist. If I use internet explorer , I don't find such problem with it.
    How can I solve this problem?

    Thanks a lot for your swift response. And sorry if it was a bit too hectic to go through my detailed query (which I did because it was misunderstood when I asked previously). As I've mentioned above, I was informed that updating to 5.0.1 would '''require''' me to '''delete''' the current version and then install the new one. And doing so will involve losing all my bookmarks. I guess I should have been more specific and detailed there. By losing, I didn't mean losing them forever. I'm aware that they're secured in some place and deleting and installing the software doesn't harm its existence. What I meant that if I install the new version, I'd have to delete the old one. And after installing the new version, I'd have to transfer them (bookmarks) back from wherever they are. Get it? When it updated from 3.6.9 to 3.6.13, and from 3.6.13 to 3.6.18, I didn't need to follow that process. They were already present on their own.
    BTW, I'm having no problems with 3.6.18 but after learning about the existence of version 5.0.1, I'm a bit too eager to lay my hands over it.
    Thanks for your help; hope this wasn't extremely long.
