Notification center lag ios 8.1.1

brand new iphone 5s ios 8.1.1 notification center laggy. how can i fix this?

Hello, i am not sure why your notification centre is laggy, but i think it might be due to the overload of widgets added onto your dashboard. Try removing some of your widgets and see if that helps.

Have you looked at the previous discussions listed on the right side of this page under the heading "More Like This"?

  • Weather not displaying in notification center after iOS 5 update not to mention the entire user interface is much more sluggish.

Weather not displaying in notification center after iOS 5 update not to mention the entire user interface is much more sluggish.

Okay, mine now works here is what I did.
plug in the iPhone, iPad etc
in iTunes select the phone or iPad
Under Summary uncheck "Sync with this....."
Under "Music" uncheck the "Sync Music"
Let it remove all the songs, dont worry it will come back no problems.
Once that is all done all the music on the phone or ipad should be gone.
Now check them both back on and everything should copy back onto it.
    Working now !!!!!

  • How do you disable the Notification Center in iOS 8?

How do you disable the Notification Center in iOS 8?  It seems the update has killed this ability.

Are you in the "today" or "notifications" part of notification center?
Settings--notifications works for the notifications part but doesn't control the today part of notification center. For that you have to drag down notification center, tap on today, and choose edit from the bottom. From there you can turn off widgets, activate new ones, and change the display order.

  • Weather not shown in Notification center in iOS 7

I recently upgrade to iOS 7 on my iPhone 5 and noticed upon restoring the OS and setting up as a new iPhone there is text weather and tomorrow summary in the notification center. But as soon as I restored the phone backup there's no text weather between the data and calendar in the notification center. Also there's no "tomorrow summary" either. I toggled the "Today summary" & "tomorrow summary" in Settings-Notification center and enabled native weather app in background app refresh and location service. I am very frustrated by this. I am sure there is a way that I can use my backup and have a functioning notification center. Can anyone please share some insight into this?

My notification center looks like this...
I pulled up and down and nothing happened.

  • How to activate control center and notification center in ios 8.1.3

I have iPhone 5s whit iOS 8.1.3, sometimes I can't access control center and notification center by sliding up or down on screen till I turn my device off and then turn it on. What is the problem?
Is it a bug in this version of iOS??? :-O

Go to Settings > General > Restrictions, make sure "Deleting Apps" did not get turned off.
If it is not a restrictions problem...
    Try resetting:
Hold both the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost.

  • Should Notification Center under iOS 7 be all white on black with no color?

I've seen online reviews of iOS 7 with screenshots of the Notification Center having a textured, shimmering color style similar to the Lock Screen. But my Notification Center is a very boring black background with white text, a completely flat design style like everything else in iOS 7. I know I've tweaked some of the Accessibility settings, but I wouldn't think that would affect the color of the Notification Center. Any thoughts?

    - Open 'Settings'.
    - Tap 'General'.
    - Then tap 'Accessibility'.
    - Then tap 'Increase Contrast'.
    - Switch 'Increase Contrast' to "Off".
    That will fix it!

  • Events past 5 in the notification center in ios 7?

Just upgraded to iOS 7.  In notification center, my calendar stops at 5 pm, not showing any events after that.  Is there a way to get those to show?
    iPad 4, iOS 7

Ok; it looks like it will show events past 5 pm, but what it does is only show about a 5 hour block.  Is there any way to change that, or is this simply something that can't be customized?

  • How to completely delete an app from notification center in IOS not just turn it off

By mistake NDTV was added as a notification in my notification center. I went to preferences/notifications and I was able to turn it off but I want it completely gone which doesn't seem to be possible. Is it just poor programing or am I missing something. Any ideas?

If you're referring to the Notification on Mac OS (iMac), then you can take it out of the Notification Center:
Go to System Preferences > Notifications and drag the app from the top part of the left column down to "not in Notification center". Also make sure you choose 'none' on the right and UNcheck every choice offered. That will stop notifications for that app.
If you are referring to iOS, someone else will need to chime in.

  • Notification Center Problems - IOS 7

I just downloaded IOS 7 on my iPhone 4S, but my notification center is messed up.  My calendar isn't appearing.  Actually nothing is there other than missed notifications like facebook.  I have watched the videos, and I don't have the options that are shown available in the videos about the notification center.  Anyone know how to fix this?

I restarted my phone and it's fixed.

  • Notification center on iOS 7

Is there a way to enable tap to tweet on iOS 7?

I have exactly the sae question. On my phone, the notification center shows current temperature. But on my wife's phone, instead of temperature the notification center shows visibility conditions. It looks like it can show either temeprarure or visibility conditions, but it's not clear at all how it decides what to display,

  • Weather not showing up in notification center if iOS 6

Does anyone know how to add it?

From what I gather the "weather" is now located on the TODAY tab under the date but it is a text, eg:
"Mostly cloudy currently. It is 81, the high today was 90."
if you click on the text, it will link to the weather app. Because of this, there is no Weather app in notification settings. I believe Weather is always on by default.
I haven't had a lot of time to tinker with iOS 7 yet. MAybe some onlese can pitch in.

  • How can I disable Notification Center on iOS 7.1?

Used to be able to jump through some hoops in accessibility settings, triple click, tap, triple tap and it would temporarily disable NC - apparently Apple "fixed" that in iOS 7. Now when I use Penultimate, my palm dragging across the edge of my iPad opens NC. Annoying. Anybody have a secret key sequence to shut it off? (up up down down left right left right whatever)

Have you tried enabling guided access?
Settings -> Accessibility -> Guided Access to on
Triple tap home button and choose a pin number once in Penultimate - once in guided access mode you won't be able to trigger NC or CC. Triple tap and enter pin to exit.
With guided access on you won't be able to switch to other apps - you'll be locked into the app you were using when you enabled it.

  • How do I get all day events to show back up in my notification center after iOS8 update?

    I have a iPhone 5, with iOS 8, 16GB
OK, none of my calender events are showing up in my notification center, and I have all type's of events on my calender, I have tried going in to my settings < then notifications < then calender < now, on this screen it shows that I am allowing notifications, so I went to upcoming events < and everything on this screen is on, I don't know what to do. How do I fix this? Can someone please help me?

Unfortunately, iOS 7 and iOS 8 do not show All-day-events in the Notification Centre.
Try to do a search within the forums or just google it and you will see that this is how ios7 and 8 have been designed from the start, and a major issue in my opinion.

  • Reminders and Notification Center

I think I'm going insane.  Did Reminders disappear from Notification Center on IOS 7.1?  If not please tell me how to get my sanity back!

I solved my own problem.  A simple reboot did the trick.
Crazy how "stupid" can creep into our brains when we become stubborn in our old age.
