Notification center problem

Hi,
I have just downloaded mountain lion and it says that it will notify you through notification center when there is a new email that has come in. However, when i receive new emails on my email account open in a safari browser it doesn't do that. Is there a way to activate it?

I actually just received your comment in an email in Notification Center. So I guess it's working fine afterall
(I don't get badges, though.)
I think maybe NC is smart enough to NOT give you a notification when the sender is an account in Mail.app. That could be why it doesn't help that we send test mails from e.g. Gmail in Chrome because that same Gmail account is set up in OS X as well.

IOS 5 Notification Center Problem

Hello everyone!
I just installed iOS 5 on my iPhone 3GS, everything is going perfect! There is one small problem. The Notification Center is not recognizing Twitter. It doesn't show up in the list when I try to edit the Notification settings, and I don't really know what to do. Hopefully some of the great minds here can help me!

I think this is a valid issue.
I tried installing the new push application(Accenture Application for iPhone) for the first time on iPhone 5.1 but the issue is not happening. Same as with iPhone iOS 4.3. But when I tried it installing in iPhone 5.0, the notification settings of Accenture app is not displayed. This is a iOS based issue that is already solved in 5.1.
In order to solve this, the user may do one of each:
Remove, Reinstall and Open the Application before checking the Notification settings.
Updates Software to 5.1( This issue is not present in 5.1)

Share Button and Notification Center Problem - Facebook and Twitter

My share button (Safari) does not work with Facebook. When I click, it freezes Safari. And Twitter and Facebook Notification Center also not work. I click and nothing happens. My ML is already updated, but not solved the problem.

I know the ans...first install os x mountain lion again above all your installation..then see the build it should be.. IPhone 4S iOS 8.3 Notification Center Problem

I have an iPhone 4S with iOS 8.3. I've recently noticed that notifications from apps that I've swiped to access from the Lock Screen continue to appear in the Notifications portion of the Notification Center. For example, if I receive a notification from Gmail's app notifying me of an unread email and I swipe the notification to access Gmail from the Lock Screen, the notification pertaining to the unread email remains visible in the Notification Center despite having already read the email; however, using the Slide To Unlock feature from the Lock Screen and then accessing Gmail from the Home Screen circumvents this problem. I've concluded that it's probably not a problem with Gmail's app as this same scenario has happened with iPhone's Tips app and, as I recall, Facebook's app as well. I also recall recently accessing Gmail via a Banner notification and the notification remained visible in the Notification Center afterwards, so my problem may or may not be isolated to Lock Screen app access. As I would rather not have to clear notifications from the Notification Center after already addressing them from the Lock Screen, has anyone here experienced this problem and, if so, solved it? Please let me know if there is a more appropriate community for me to ask this question. Thanks in advance for your help!

OP here. It appears that my problem is in fact isolated to the Gmail app as I've recently noticed that if I leave messages as unread in my inbox, then Gmail notifications accrue in the Notification Center; however, if I keep the unread count at zero, these notifications do not accrue. This observation solves my problem as I can control the unread count in my inbox; however, please feel free to suggest a more permanent solution if one exists. Thanks!

Notification Center Problems - IOS 7

I just downloaded IOS 7 on my iPhone 4S, but my notification center is messed up. My calendar isn't appearing. Actually nothing is there other than missed notifications like facebook. I have watched the videos, and I don't have the options that are shown available in the videos about the notification center. Anyone know how to fix this?

I restarted my phone and it's fixed.

HT3576 How do you fix the problem that happens when if I open my notification for an app, it disappears on the Notification Center?

I was updating an app on my iPad (seeds pro), and when it was fully updated, I opened it. I tried to use a feature on it, but it said I need push notifications enabled. I was looking around in the notification part of the settings app, and when I go back to the specified app, it still didn't let me use the feature. But the additional thing is that now, when I open a notification for ANY app, or at least open the app, it disappears from the Notification Center. I really need help in fixing this bug or problem or whatever it is.

It didn't work like that before. And I know it wasn't a new feature in the iOS7 update, I've never had my notifications deleted from the Notification Center until a week ago. Before that, I kept my notifications in the Notification Center.

Notification settings on iPad 3 are set properly but my new IPad does not get alert badges or rounds on apps with all notifications selected and in notifications center. Why? Others are reporting same problem.

i just bought the new iPad and even though notifications are set exactly the same for mail and my app is turned on and in the Notifications Center and alerts and sounds selected for mail and apps only my iPad 2 is working. No alerts on iPad 3. I see other posts with same problem. Any suggestions or posts re same problem will be appreciated before I return to Apple Store for help. thanks.

Do you have system sounds muted? Check the button above your volume control on the right hand side of the iPad. If, when you change the button you see mute on your screen, you'll restore system sounds. If you see lock orientation, you can restore system sounds by double tapping your home button to bring up the task bar (most recently used apps). With your finger swipe those apps all the way to the right to reveal a mute icon on the left. Touch that icon and you'll restore system sounds.
Let us know if that was the issue.

I have a problem with my Notification Center!

I have a problem with my iPhone 4 and i want to see if anyone else has it...You see I recently updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.0.1 and my notification center stopped working!Well it works only in landscape mode.Before that itused to work perfectly-I was swiping it down with no problem!
Can anyone give me a solution?

Try reset iPad and try again.
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

Problems dropbox in notification center

If the Dropbox widget in the notification center on my iPhone 6 tells me that a document has recently been changed, I cannot open this document from the notification center (it seems like starting to open the document, but then the home screen is shown). The only way to open the document seems to be using the Dropbox app itself. What is the problem?

Try turning off the widget, resetting your iPhone, and then turning the widget back on.
You can try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears. Try again to see if the problem persists.

Restore as a new device, then sync your apps and contacts.
Do not restore from backup.
If that does not resolve it, then the next step would be to visit the Genius bar at an Apple store.

Notification Center pull down problem on iPad 2

I just installed iOS 5 on iPad 2.
Somehow, I was able to pull down only on portrait mode.
Now, it only works on landscape mode only.
With Notification Center down, I can change orientation and it will rotate.
But as soon as I close it, I have to change back to landscape mode to pull it down.
Even in landscape mode, it only works on one side.
Does anyone have this problem?
Does anyone have solution to this problem?

I don't think I did anything but it works now on all 4 sides.

HT3576 Notification center Message problem

Whenever I get a text message I get a notification banner at the top of my screen, which is great. But whenever I go to slide down he screen into the notification center, the text message doesn't show up for about 5 seconds. I'm running a 16gb iPhone 4S with Verizon. Anyone know what to do?

Is anyone else having poor label display in Notification Center? More importantly anyone have a solution?

Alert messages from Notification Center hang after using close button

After opening my MacBook in the morning, Notification Center displays the alerts from my Calender (I realy like this new feature!).
Problem
When I click the Close Button on an Alert Message the Alert Message does not close but stops responding and stays displayed.
The only way to get rid of it is to logout and login to OSX.
Does anyone have the same problem?
I am looking for a solution.
All suggestions are welcome!

As you can see the System Preferences > Notification Pane talks about "Alerts" in a general way first
Then it offers options on how the Notifications are displayed.
I was presuming you were talking about the Notifications in the same general way and I was asking which option you were using
Since my first post in this thread I have changes my Mail Notifications to Alerts (It seems to be the one with more issue)
It does hang around until I deal with it
It then send me to Mail but the Incoming mail item(s) is(are) no longer marked as unread.
This makes it a little difficult to check the generic Inbox rthat has five Accounts set up.
I am not getting a spinning beach Ball and the Alert Style Notification goes away.
