Notification for failed podcasts

I'm wondering if there's a way for Podcast Producer to send an email to a user when the podcast they submit fails. Right now I have it set up so that once the podcast gets published it emails them, but they receive no message if it fails for some reason. Unless I so happen to log into the server and check Xgrid Admin, the user really doesn't know if the podcast was created or not.

1. Setup email and Test mail (working)
2. Setup email address
3. Create schedule for notification
4. Create rule for Failed Job Count and select Send Email
But when the job fails, I do not get the email

Want email notification for fail cases

I am currently working on scenario where we send the mail notification when we check a certain file with the perticular file name on FTP location, but now the business wants to receive the mail notification only when the file is not there on the FTP server.
As is Scenario : We check for the certain file on FTP location at 3:30 daily and sends the mail if we see the file.
To Be scenario : We want to send mail notification only if we do not see the perticular file on the FTP server at 3:30 .
We are currently sending the lotus notes mail notification.

In my opinion, it's not possible in standard as for a PI adapter where there is no file in the source folder, that's not an issue, it's just "there is no file to be treated, so I have nothing to do and everything is ok", and no XML message is generated. So no mapping and no BPM are available to do a control or take a decision. (*)
Maybe you can acheive that with an OS command (in fact a script) to check folder content and send directly an email, or to produce an error file, which we will check / pick-up by another interface which will send also an email. But I think it's to use a bazooka to kill a fly...
(*) unless.... another way is to use a dummy "start file" + BPM:
- to have a dummy file in a dummy folder (mode test, in order to have the file for the next run).
- Your interface is triggered at 3:30 on this dummy interface, just to start the process of a BPM.
- as your flow is started, in your BPM you trigger your real sender CC (CC should be in mode external)
- also in your BPM you have a branch "wait 1min" (for instance), and if after this delay, you have not receive a xml message corresponding to your real file, you can use a mapping and send an email. And if inside the dlay, you have the xml message, you choose another branch to map your data and sent them to the target.
Idea based on a correlation with BPM ".
Another solution (more simple) is to create an abap program either in ECC or in PI which will check the folder at 3:30, send an email if there is no file, else if there is a file, this abap program will trigger also to your PI interface. For that your sender CC should be in external mode and you just calll a HTTP address with "action" = stop and start.
Important: you can do a START of CC only it's current status is "STOP". So a better way to trigger a sender CC is to do at least a STOP before a START.
These "solutions" are just ideas, I never tested / implemented them.

"playback failed" for all podcasts using ios7

I just updated to IOS 7 and when I try to play a podcast that I am subscribed to, I get "playback failed" for all podcasts. The odd thing is that if I am connected via wifi, it seems to work fine. If wifi is not there, I get that error.
I cannot seem to find a setting anywhere that gets around this.

Send Notifications for Purchasing Documents Concurrent Program fails

Hi,
We have Oracle EBS 11i (11..5.10) - Oracle Financials and Order Management implemented on Single Node Windows 2003.
Send Notifications for Purchasing Documents Concurrent Program is scheduled to run every 10 minutes and sometimes Completes with Error.
Due to this other Concurrent Requests arr going to Pending Normal.
During this time a pop-up window appears on the server's console with message like 'FNDLIBR.exe has encountered errors......' with OK button. Once I click the OK button other Concurrent Request are able to Run and completes.
Usually the Send Notifications for Purchasing Documents Concurrent Program completes normally in 1 min or less. The ones that Completes with Error have run for more than 2-3 hours.
Please let me know how to troubleshoot this issue. Windows Event Viewer also shows this error " Faulting application FNDLIBR.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module SQLLIB80.DLL, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00009e1f."

This note advices to apply patch 5567785 (one-off patch).yes it is, i suggest check first you have this patch on your system or not. If it doesnt than i suggest take backup for if something goes wrong after patch. Than apply patch to your test instance

Should I create a new iTunes account for a podcast?

We are still in the process of getting our first podcast edited and ready to go, along with the website, podcast hosting, etc... But I was curious about when we are ready to submit the podcast to iTunes.... Should I ceate a new iTunes account, dedicated to the podcast, or use my own personal iTunes account to submit. I'm a little hesitant about using my own, since I'm not sure how that affects anything in how the podcast is displayed, or notifications from iTunes. I would rather have communications go through the E-Mail for the domain I have set up for the website/podcast, but it's not the end of the world.
If it's used strictly for authentication, then it most likely won't be an issue. I just wanted to verify how it is used, and best practices, before submitting our first episode.

It is just for authentication - no need to create a new account for your podcast.
Just submit with the one you already have.
Any changes to your show in iTunes are managed via your RSS feed - not from your iTunes account.

CCMS alert emails for failed jobs

Hello All
What are the steps to set a ccms alert for failed jobs? Also is it possible to set ccms to warn us of long running jobs. I would like to set the sysem so that we get a email notification on any failed jobs or long running jobs.

You can get the alerts for failed jobs, Just maintain the realted setting in the ccms_onalert_email
maintain the address and then assign this as auto reaction method in your ccms template for background jobs.

Notifications of failed or partially failed load processes in the Data Exchange

I've recently completed quite a few data integrations (to maintain coexistence) between external systems at my company and Oracle Fusion. The majority include data-out (Extracts and BI Reports), and data-in (via FBL from UCM).
I'm wondering what the standard is for notifications on failed FBL loads. After an FBL succeeds with the RIDC, the most information I know is the process ID of the process loading my data into Fusion. In order to check to see if it succeeded or not, I have to go into the Data Exchange and check the process manually in the "Load Batch Data" GUI.
Is there a way to get emailed notifications if a process finishes with any failures? The only automated way I know of to check on statuses is to schedule the seeded Batch Load Summary HCM extract and have something on our end check for anything that has failed. But this is pretty un-ideal when all I want is an immediate notification of failed or trouble FBL loads.
What's the easiest/best/quickest way to be automatically notified when an FBL load is having issues?

I am not an expert on FBL, but I think there is a ESS process involved, could you configure alerts to monitor the state and have incidents be sent to the interest parties, see Monitoring Oracle Enterprise Scheduler

Multiple email notification for scheduled web intelligence jobs

Hi,
Webi job failed email notification for daily scheduled jobs, email count goes more than 2000.
Operating System Details:
Windows 2008 R2
SAP Business Objects Details:
SAP BO 4.0 SP6
Database Details:
CMS DB Oracle 11.2.1.0
Issue description:
On daily basis 100 jobs are scheduled using event file. All 100 jobs start after BW data load completion.
Below is the process for webi job schedule start.
1) BW job complete
2) Event file update on shared location
3) Webi job scheduling starts.
Till april 1st week all 100 jobs were scheduled succesfully and we recieved 101 notification, 1 extra mail for event file notification.
But from last week we recieved more than 2000 mail and on subsequent retry all jobs were scheduled succesfully.
We check the CUID in query builder, but only data for 16 jobs was available, and in instance manager we got 300 failed instances of 16 jobs, but those jobs were executed successfully after multiple reattempt.
Below is the error mentioned in instance manger for all 300 instances:
"Object could not be scheduled within the specified time interval".
Note : Due to unavailablity of trace log, we cannot enable the trace log in enviornment.

I have read the KB#144881- Multiple instances spawned after daylight savings time change.
Though this issue arrived after daylight saving, i have few more points to describe:
1. Issue arrives only on Monday, not on every day.
2. Day light saving was on 29th March, after that at the very first Monday on 30th March issue was not there, however after that issue arrives every Monday, i.e. 6th & 13th of April.
Is there any SAP notes for SAP-BO 4.0 SP 6 on this.

1). Please tell me if there is way to identify those unknown reasons?

I need to process a couple of tasks after clicking on cross button(on top right corner of HTML extension) and before the Extension actually gets closed.
As I Understand, Extension is using chromium browser.
I tried attaching an event listener to "onbeforeunload" event of chrome but it suppresses any alerts being thrown and closes the extension, without waiting for
background processes to complete.
Is there a way through scripting/Plugin or any other way to achieve it?

I am also on my forth hard drive on the same model.
When I unpacked the computer, the hard drive did not include OS X either. Actually, it was completely blank. Did not even have a partition table! I have also had random problems with the machine not charging.
I have replaced the drive myself with an SSD after figuring the Apple Certified technicians were incompetent. Now even the SSD is starting to fail
I have bought an HP laptop and setup Ubuntu on it. Hope it turns out better than my previous four various Mac models. All have had various repeating hardware issues that Apple Certified technicians have been unable or unwilling to correct.

Set Notification for Jobs

Hi there,
I am using 10.2 grid control (OS: Solaris 5.9 Sparc (64 bit)).We have some jobs scheduled in some of target database.These are the jobs that not set through Grid control.It is directly configured in target databases through dbms_scheduler package.I can view these job status in Grid by login onto the database target.I want to get the notification for these jobs through email.
How to set up the notification method for these kind of jobs?
Please give me some ideas.

If you "can view these job status in Grid by login onto the database target", you can be able to Create a new Notification Rule for the Job ..Could you please tell me the steps for that.
If I go to Target-> Databases -> Administration -> Jobs , then i can view all the jobs which is created in that specific database.I just want to set up a notification rule for this job , in the grid whenever it fails.
I tried to go to Preferences -> Notification-Rules-> Create .But, I am not able to see the list of any jobs(above mentioned jobs which are created directly in database).. What shall I do for this.
Any tips would be appreciated.

Configuring retry count for failed recon events

Has anyone managed to configure retry count for failed reconciliation events in OIM? By default OIM re-tries five (5) times before giving up the event. In most cases this is highly optimistic.
In OC4J I tried changing oc4j.jms.listenerAttempts property for JMS server, it didn't have any effect?

Torch 9810 - Cannot Browse For New Podcasts

Hello,
This is my first post, but I have had a Blackberry for many years and love it.
My current phone is a Torch 9810, OS 7.1 Bundle 921 (v7.1.0.267 Platform 5.1.0.230). I recently decided to look into subscribing to some podcasts because I spend a lot of time commuting. However, I cannot seem to browse for any suggested podcasts within the app, even though all documentation that I can find refers to there being an "explore podcasts" option in it.
I was able to manually add a podcast and download episodes for that podcast, but this option to browse through a suggested podcasts catalogue is nowhere to be found. It makes it very difficult for me to find podcasts that I want to listen to if I cannot easily browse for something which catches my interest!
The feature, seen at 0:27 in this video, which was uploaded only 4 days ago by RIM, is not present in my app, as you can see in this photo:
The "add podcast channel" option only leads to a text box where I insert a URL or name that I already have for a specific podcast, no browsing. Even with the specific name of a podcast to add, this is a very cumbersome and constricting process, and eliminates the possibility of happening upon something new and interesting by chance, which to me is one of the primary appeals of podcasts.
Any help I could get in resolving this discrepancy between what all documentation says should be available, and what I actually have access to, would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same issue. I had 100+ podcasts but after a failed backup to computer they disappeared. What's worse is there is no option to browse for podcasts. The OS was updated too. Maybe the option is gone.
