Notification globe is not appearing in my mail icon

My emails are send and receive fine, but I only noticed a new email when entered the mail icon, there is no sound or red globe notification when a new one is in my inbox.

Maybe your iTunes is on "off" in the parental controls. If you turn it off, it won't show in your dock.

I tried to configure my mac to enable it to receive mails in the notification center but cant. i have tried to send an email from other IDs but havent received any banner or alert while using my mac. i have checked the show alerts and banners in notification center. Notifications receives alerts from Reminders app, but not Mail.
I've set preferences in Mail for 'Inbox Only' and 'All Mailboxes', sent test mail from ISP webmail and Google (Mail is not setup to receive from this account) - still no notifications.
I had previously used Growl (v1.4) and GrowlMail very successfully (with 10.7), but while upgrading to Mountain Lion I was informed that GrowlMail was incompatible so I deleted it.
While testing this problem of not receiving Mail Notifications I have disabled Growl and rebooted.

I am using the FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to send the mail with an XSL attachment, it is working fine but the problem is the name of the XSL attachment is not appearing, please see the below code how i am using

Mail not appearing as HTML - Mail Adapter

Hello All,
I'm using the mail package in a receiver mail adapter. During mapping I format the content in HTML format, using < > form < and >. Also I set the content type of the mail package to text/html. However when the mail is received, the content of the mail is the html with tags, it does not appear as an html page. When I see the source the file still has the escape characters instead of < and >. But when I save this as an html file and open it, it appears as a web page.
Any thoughts?

Coding of characters in e-mails that are not contained in the ASCII character set.

Sent mail does not appear in sent mail folder

Hi. Odd problem. I have done a search for this but can't find an answer.
I have an IMAP account with PIPEX and mail will not display the sent messages.
Mail has 3 folders - Inbox, Sent, Trash.
IMAP account has 2 folders - INBOX and a sub folder sent-mail.
Inbox/INBOX syncs fine.
Nothing appears at all in Sent.
Sent messages sync ok, as (using finder) they appear in my library at myusername/library/mail/IMAP-(mylogin)/INBOX/sent-mail.imapmbox/Messages
For info, the inbox messages are stored at myusername/library/mail/IMAP-(mylogin)/INBOX.imapmbox/Messages.
For info again I have store sent messages on server selected in preferences (because I need to see them from another computer)
I have tried 'rebuild' several times on the inbox & the rebuild option is greyed out on the sent folder.
Can anyone help?

Hi Stringbag.
This account requires INBOX to be put in Preferences > Accounts > Advanced > IMAP Path Prefix for Mail to handle it properly. Mailboxes on the server should not appear as subfolders of the account’s Inbox in Mail.
After having done that, Mail should be able to properly save sent messages on the server, but maybe in a mailbox different from where you want them to be stored. To fix that, select the desired folder in Mail, and do Mailbox > Use This Mailbox For > Sent.

Sent mail not appearing in Internet mail box

I have recently been using Mail on iMac and while I can receive and view all emails on it. But strange thing is that whatever I sent from Mail on the iMac, it just appeared on the Mail Sent box but do not appear on the internet version of email sent box or anywhere in the internet version. I do have an iPhone and the sent mail from the iMac Mail cannot be found too. However, receiptents do receive my emails anyway. It is frustrating and disappointed that this happened and unable to do work on my iMac in this way especially when I am travelling and away from my desk.
Currently I am using Yahoo! .sg mail with IMAP and has checked thoroughly, including the outgoing server. Did many delete and re-installing but this does not seem to work. Maybe there are some steps that I have overlooked, or improper installation, could somebody help?

I find that perhaps one message in ten is not saved to my sent folder. I am using .mac mail. I am storing sent messages on the server, draft messages locally.
It seems that some kind of timeout on port 143 prevents the message from being copied to the sent folder, although the message is actually sent.
This is clearly a bug. Even if there is a communication failure, the message should remain accessible somewhere, not drift off into the ether. It would be far preferable to risk sending twice by holding the outgoing message in drafts until the move to sent completes.

ICloud Mail Sent with iPad Not Appearing in Sent Mail

Hi Everyone,
For for the past few days, the email messages that I've sent with my iPad using my iCloud address do not appear in the iCloud Sent mail folder my iMac. But if I send an iCloud mail using my iMac, it does appear in the iCloud Sent mail folder on both devices. This problem does not occur using other IMAP accounts on my iPad. What's going on?
The other thing that may be relevant is that there appear to be two Sent mail folders that appear in the iCloud account on my iPad. One is Sent with the paper airplane icon and the other is Sent Messages with a folder icon. On my iMac, there is only the Sent mail folder with the paper airplane icon. Curiously, on the iMac have see some sent messages from both of those sent mail folders from the iPad.
I'm now concerned that some important iPad messages may not have been sent, and I now must backtrack and resend them.

PDF'd Fillable Form / Checked Boxes do not Appear in E-Mail

Acrobat Pro 8.1.2, Windows XP, Word 2003
I made a doc in Word, created a form, added check boxes, all good. I fill out the form as needed, check specific boxes as needed, and submit via email to vendors to place orders.
Everyone gets the check boxes themselves, but several have said that none of the boxes are physically checked (X). All other entered info is present.

I'm sorry. I made the Word doc, then used Adobe Pro to convert the Word doc into a fillable form. Using Designer I added the check boxes. Saved and closed.
I open the form, fill it out, select certain check boxes, and email. The selected check boxes do not appear on some computers.

Mail not showing up under mail icon

My email is not showing up when I select the mail icon on my phone. Just shows a white or sometimes clear screen. The phone is picking up new mail, when there is new mail the number by the mail icon will change.

What do you mean by mail does not show up? You're not receiving any email? What?

Long text not appear in E-mail Notification (Smartform)

Dear Gurus,
Need your insight on this issue. I'm trying to insert long text (Response/Description/etc) from the message into body of e-mail notification. I use function module 'CRM_DNO_READ_ORDER_TEXT' to get the text in the smartform and then use function module 'READ_TEXT' to get the text lines but it returns exception 'not_found'.
I try to debug and it seems like the smartform is executed before the long text is saved into the table (STXH), thus i can't get those text. I have set Action Processing Time to Processing when saving document.
Anyone had this problem before? Need your help.

I know I am late to this thread but yes you are right. Samrtform gets executed before the Logntext gets saved in Database.

Embedded image in html body of the email is not appearing in Outlook mail box

According to your description, you'd like to send a email with an embedded image in the signature.
I suggest you sending the image in the last of the body of email instead of operating the signature of email.

Contacts not appearing in the Mail address panel

If I am in Mail on my MacBook the mail program knows nothing about any addresses in my contact list.
The Address Panel and Previous Contacts lists are empty.
If I open my contacts list - I see all my contacts properly.
They also sync properly between my phone and macbook. I can add a contact to my pone and a second or two later it appears on my MB; and I can add a contact to my MB and seconds later it appears on my phone.
Here is when I believe the problem started.
I wanted all my mail and contacts to be in my 'documents' folder so I could sync that folder, and only that folder, between multiple places and machines and also backup everything in one fell swoop.
a) I moved the mail and the application support/addressbook folders from my library to my docs folder.
b) In the terminal created hard links in the original places pointing to the new. I was careful to make hard links not soft.
From the finder and from the terminal the links are all working fine works fine. And as I mentioned the sync function to my phone finds the moved files and works great. Mail work fine. I can create new accounts etc so mail preferences work fine. I also did this with my messages and dropbox and they are working fine.

So everything looks good. But obviously it isn't. I am missing moving a file somewhere, or possibly a pref file needs edited.
Gosh, I sure hope Apple didn't hardcode a lowlevel address into the mail program somehow. That would have been shortsighted and against unix principles that want everything to be accessible through the file system - but it wouldn't be the 1st time they changed something inside unix.
I found the discussion, Re: Why can't Mail access email addresses from Contacts? and looked at that.
I did not see anything that looked like it would help me since it seemed he could see the contacts in his address panel it just wouldn't auto search them. I thought about trying the two things Linc Davis mentioned but he cautioned against changing any of the contents of the sandbox. The last time I was deep into the OS was before it had a sandbox so I am not familiar with it and am not sure what would or would not affect the sandbox; so I hesitate to try until I understand that.
I am running 10.8.2 build 12C60 and Mail 6.2 (1499) on a MB Pro 15" Early'08 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
So they is something about Mary Mail. Anyone have any ideas for me?
Could Mail have a relative address or very low level address to the addressbook built into it?

Mail rule does not appear in my mail list but continues to be active

How to i make a mail rule inactive it it doesn't appear in my list of rules? It is still actively replying saying I'm on vacation to my incoming mail?

The purchase history on your iTunes account will only show purchases from the iTunes stores (iTunes, app store, ibookstore, Mac app store), not from Apple online or bricks-and-mortar stores.
Does anything show on your credit card ? If the email is genuine then it's possible that your and their email addresses are similar and that they gave the wrong id (or the store typed it incorrectly), it doesn't necessarily mean that anybody has access to your account.
For the contact, you will initially just receive an acknowledgement email, the proper reply may take 24 (possibly 48) hours.

Messages not appearing in sent mail folders

We recently migrated from a linux environ to mac server snow leopard. I'm now using Thunderbird as a testbed for my mail client as we have deeply populated mac mail clients that we don't want to disturb if our migration goes bad. Previously, I used both the mail app on mac and Thunderbird as my mail clients depending... Previously, when I would send a msg from my blackberry it would appear in my sent mail folder (on any mail client). Now it does not. Any suggestions as to why? Thanks.

Can you see the sent message when using webmail on the server? If so you may just need to map the sent area of each mail client to the proper folder on the server, assuming you are using IMAP.
