Notification icons on top of the home page

I have 2 blackberry curve 8520 phones. Usually when there are new notifications on facebook or when I have a new email it is displayed on top of the home screen. On the one phone, I have a notification for facebook which I have already checked out, but the notification won't go away. On the other phone, there is an icon that looks a lot like the "earth" on the email icon. I have searched all over this phone - email messages, BBM messages and updates etc. Could anyone tell me what to do to get rid of them?

There is also a Bookmarks Menu button that you can use to access the bookmarks. That button appears on the Navigation toolbar if the Bookmarks Toolbar is hidden.

How do I remove the superdrive notification icon on top of the taskbar?

How do I remove the superdrive icon on top of the taskbar. It appeared all of sudden when I reboot my computer, I checked sharing setting and everything is off. There are no drive nearby to share with.

There is an unwanted, graphic across the top of the home page on my desktop.

There is a graphic that looks like a wave, which covers the top inch and a half of my home page. It doesn't show up on Explorer, so I'm wondering if it's some kind of virus on Firefox.

You can check the connection setting here: Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select No Proxy

It should be on the Store drop-down menu at the top of iTunes (if you are using iTunes 11 on a PC then try pressing Alt-S and see if it appears) e.g. (screenshot is from iTunes on a Mac)

The first (#4) is the Bookmarks Toolbar
If you do not want the AVG toolbar then disable or uninstall that extension.

After a recent update, everytime I open Firefox, the Add-ons dialogue box opens on top of the home page. How can I stop it from opening each time?

Ok I found a solution that worked for me, I simply dragged the user.js and the user.js.BAK to the desktop, before that I had done the same with the prefs.js and prefs.js.BAK, but that didn't help, so it's apparently the user file that was an error with.
It was the link from cor-el that helped me on the way http://kb.mozillazine.org/Preferences_not_saved It's at the bottom titled User.js file locks certain preferences. This article can also help https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Preferences%20are%20not%20saved
It have still not made a new user.js file, but everything runs fine, hope this can help others to.

It's now at the far right end of the address bar. If you want to put it somewhere else, you can do this:
View > Toolbars > Customize
and drag the Home button into the window, then drag it bakc out to wherever you prefer.

Using my ipad2 the music icon is returning to the home screen when I touch it?

WHen I open the music icon it returns to the home page after about half a second.

Try closing the Music app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Music app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Music app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Where did the firefox icon go mine is grey icon on the home page I am using 15.0.1 version

I am using v 15.0.1 fire fox on my windows xp desk top. ( I am useing my tablet to help me figure out whats going on with my desktop computer) and I noticed that in the web browser window where you type your url address the icon I thought was to be perhaps a small icon of the fre fox on the home page..... Now I see it is grey or ghosted out....... the following pages that I go to sometimes has a grey or ghosted out paddle lock.... If the web site does not contain any personal information it is the grey out icon of the Fire fox or what ever it is and if I left click on it it will state that this web site does not supply idnenty information Your connection to this site is only partially encrypted, and does not prevent eaves dropping the there is a more infor tab so whatis theis all about how can I get it to be fully encripted and not have a third party eavses dropping in on me? thanks for your help
