Notification long text

Dear All,
The notification long text filled in 3rd party software and it passing through XI. Through function module I am updating the long text in the IW22. This long text is filled 132 characters only but I need to fill more than 132 characters through this integration. where I can do the changes.

Problem in printing the notification long text in tocde iw53.

Hi All,
When i try to print the notification long text through tcode "iw53", i get the following message
"The margins of section 1 are set outside the printable area. Do you want to continue?"
and if i give yes then, only the right side of the page gets printed.
This happens only in the Quality and Production system, whereas in development system its working fine, so i think there is no problem with the printer settings.
Do anyone have an idea why this happens only in quality and production system, and what might be the solution to overcome this?

Please check your settings on machine which is set for printer .
Most printers cannot print all the way to the edge of the paper, because of physical limitations in the way that the printer handles paper.
If you set your document margins or section margins closer to the edge of the paper than your printer is capable of printing
1.Note the section number that is indicated in the error message.
2.On the Edit menu, click Go To.
3.In the Go to what box, click Section.
4.In the Enter section number box, type the number of the section that appeared in the error message, click Go To, and then click Close.
5.On the File menu, click Page Setup.
6.On the Margins tab, click OK. Word displays the following message:
One or more margins are set outside the printable area of the page. Choose the Fix button to have Word set the page margins within the appropriate range.
7.Click Fix. This increases any margin in the nonprintable region to the minimum margin setting.
Note If you are familiar with your printer's nonprintable regions, you can manually increase the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right margins to the minimum that is required.
8.Click OK to close the Page Setup dialog box.

I have the same requirement regarding Trex Functioan for Notification.We are already implemented the same for Equipment & Functaional Location,but In case of notifications & ordrer, I am not getiing the Class for business objects, which is required in config.

Maintain notification long text in IW21

Hi Expert,
I have one requirement as follows:
In TCode IW21: Create PM Notification, client wants Notification Long should appear as a Template from Standard Text (TCode: SO10).
Now I want to fetch this Std. Text which is maintained in TCode SO10 and show it at Notification Long Text while creating Notification using TCode: IW21.
Please guide me how to do this functionality using any User Exit or any Enhancement available in SAP.

Quality Notification long text

Hi All,
I want to export long Text data for some 500 Quality Notifications.
Presently I am going to T-Code QM11 and copying every quality notification long text and pasting it in excel.
Is there any alternative way to perform this operation.
Because extracting the data for so many notifications will take an ample lot of time.

You need to develop such reports and these are simple.
We have given several such Longtext reports in the form of smartforms to our customers. See this example report.

Polish letters not displayed correctly in quality notification long text

Hello,
in quality notification: when trying to write text in Polish language, some non-english letters are displayed incorectly.
I did not find possibility to change the text language as in e.g. sales order texts. Using PL as login language solves the situation if MS Word view of long text is opened but not if text displayed in notification in "SAP view". Anyway different login language is not desired solution.
Any help is appreciated

Put Fixed guide line in long text of Notification: IW21

Hi,
I have an requirement where I need to put some fixed guide line in the notification long text whenever notification order gets created.
For an example below guidelines need to be incorporated automatically in the long text of notification whenever they get created
Ex:

Suggested Repair / resourcec:
Please suggest how can I implement this requirement?

Check the user exit :- QQMA0025 PM/SM: Default values when adding a notification
For wiring into longtext i think u can update via WRITE_TEXT
You should also ensure that this information should not be changed

Issue ith Long text in Quality Notification.

Hi All,
I have an Issue with Quality Notification long text change functionality.User reported that he can only append the additional text and can't edit the alaready entered screen. When I verified the config for the notification type it shows that 'Log line' check box have been checked and "No text" change Check Box Not checked. We need log lind and the same time user can edit the alkready entered screen. We are using Ecc 6.0 system.
Please guide me to fix that Issue.

Hi,
you should check in configuration the part "Overview of Notification Type" (Quality Management>>Quality Notifications>>Overview of Notification Type).
When you select your notification type you go to "Format Long text" and there you can disable "No text change". This option is useful when you want to add text but don't want to allow modification of existing text.

The same question i think
Language->EN, Text ID:- LTXT ,Text Object : QMMA , Name :- I think starting with 001Notification Number0001
But the simple way to identify all these are , open IW22 -> Open that Activity Longtext and goto menu ->Header -u will find Text Header details ..

QM02 long text without log

Hi All,
I was trying to get the Notification long text from QM02 transaction into my script.So,the client requirement was not to get the auto generated lof text.I have tried if it is stored in any table but could not find it.If I write the include statement with all the parameters,I am getting the log also displayed in the output.Please suggest me what to do? I think this is more a basis issue that application specific.
The Long text of notifications was designed for text only! Why do you believe that a table can be displayed?
I cannot imagine that there is a solution for your question.

Notiifcation Long text not grey out

I have seen the Notification Long text screen grey out once the user saves and log out. When next user enters he wil not b able to chnage the contents entered by previous user.
This is not actually hapening in my case...The screen and info entered doesnt grey out and the user can change it easily with no change documents generated,
Please help me achieve this. I need the field to be grey out once it is enterd and user has loggeds out. System shoud show the log-in user name and time when saved.

Check the below Check Box is Marked for That notification type
Log Line
No Text Change change
If above setting is already done then run Notication Transction again go in long text of Notification then after that Run transction code SU53 check your authorisation weather you have right authorisation obejct assign to you.

Hi,
Unfortunately, You will not be able to view the graphics within the Long text editor screen.Only Limited word functionality is available on these editors.
You will have to store these pictures separately as an attachment, through generic object services and then view them through that.

The partners,activities get updated. I am unable to update the long text of each of the actvities item.

Thanks for the update. The issue has been resolved.
The BAPI- 'BAPI_SERVNOT_ADD_DATA'   cannot be used to update the item long text. (activities long text ) . The length of the object key is only 8 characters.
I used the following function module('IQS0_ADD_ACTIVITY_LONGTEXT') to update the item>>activties>> long text after the BAPI call to 'BAPI_SERVNOT_ADD_DATA' .
data: v_line like table of tline with header line.
call function 'IQS0_ADD_ACTIVITY_LONGTEXT'
             exporting
               i_qmnum             = wa_qmnum
               i_manum             = wa_item_no
               i_post              = 'X'

The call to 'BAPI_SERVNOT_ADD_DATA' took care of all changes to the Notification except the update of the item>> long text. After committing this transaction, I did a BAP call to 'IQS0_ADD_ACTIVITY_LONGTEXT' to update the item>>actvities>>long text.. This has been working fine and is currently in productin.
