Notification mail display garbled code !

Hello experts,
I had configurated UWL and integrated CRM system.
The workflow of CRM will create mail automaticly , and display the mail in Portal notification iview.
All of the English mails work fine , but all the Chinese mail display garbled code.
Is there any guys met this problem too?
Please give me some advice.

To see list of mail u can user SOST T-code and for Mail Admin you can use SCOT.

If you are using Send Mail step associated with SELFITEM.SENDTASKDESCRIPTION to send mail from your workflow, to send attachments you need to do the following bindings to your send mail step.
<your attachment object> -> &_Attach_Objects&
<your attachment object> -> &Attachments&
However, before this you should have your attachment as SOFM Object instance.

How to send concurrent program output file as an attachment in the notification mail

We are on Oracle apps version - 11.5.10.2
We have a requirement wherein we need to send the concurrent program output file as an attachment while sending the notification mail to the user.
Currently we have tried the approach wherein we are specifying the user id in the OPTIONS tab (Notifying the following people) while submitting the concurrent program.
But using this approach, the user gets only the URL of the output file in the notification mail and not the output file as an attachment.
Kindly let us know if anyone has incorporated the logic to send the output file as attachment in the notification mail.
Please Note - We do not want any custom code to be written to send the attachment.
Any pointers to this will be helpful.

How to get colla..room name in the notification mail while creating a task

Hi All,
I create a collaboration room, there i created one task. Asusal all the task assignees are getting notification mail. but in the mail content there is no mention of particular collaboration room. from where we created that particular task, this is creating some confusion to the users who are getting this notification mail,
if any one knows please let us know.

How to "Show notifications when display is off"

Hi,
In Mavericks Beta the notifications from Mail, Messages, Facebook etc. were displayed even when the screen was turned off. It lit up the screen for a while showed the notification for few seconds and then the screen was turned off again. I really liked that feature cause I could see whats happening on my iMac even if I wasn't using it.

Show notifications when display is off or locked
Get alerts when your display is off or your Mac is locked.
But the option to enable it is no longer in the Notifications settings, instead there is "Show notifications on lock screen".
So please let me ask, is there some possibility to show notifications on turned off display? Maybe by editing some preference file or something like that?

I too would like to know a way around this problem. In the prior version of iCal, you could enable alarms only when iCal was running. I routinely sync three computers, sometimes hours to days apart. So unless I remember to turn alarms off prior to shutting down the machines, the alarms are not properly updated upon syncing when an idle machine is turned back on.
Hope this makes sense. Either way, it would have been better if Apple had not gotten rid of this feature in the new iCal.

How to send notification mail by IDM 7.1?

HI,
I configured the idm 7.1 and want to send notification mail to user when a new user is created.
But I can not get email from IDM. I think the SMTP server is right and I can telnet to SMTP server and send mails.
How to test the IDM configuration is right ? or how to test send mail notification by an easy way ?

When I run the "ALL USERS" report, I select the 'Email Report' and filled the mail address. But after running the report , I can't receive email and no error messages displayed.
Could you tell me how to do I can debug or trace the messages if the IDM sent or not sent mail , if it connects to mail server ?

Workflow outbound notification not displaying certain information

Hi All,
We have an issue with PO notification. Randomly some of the PO approval notification emails are not displaying certain feilds like Ship-to, bill-to and PO Number, but it displays the PO lines properly. Also this is only happening for POs having attachments.

Have found a bug "Bug 2646120: E-MAILED PO DOES NOT DISPLAY ADDRESSES OF SUPPLIER, SHIP-TO OR BILL-TO" in metalink which is similar , but it seems to be setup issue. In our case issue is getting fixed after we bounce notification mailer. I think this is happening because of workflow reaching certain limits or either some or other bug with workflow. Please let me know if any one had similar experiences.

We are on 11.5.10.2 and OS is RHEL 5, issue is that at the moment i dont have access to logs (I hoping to see errors similar to out of memory ;-) to justify the case) . Was checking whether any one has seen similar issues and are there any limitations with mail size/attachment size for workfow outbound notification. I could not get this info in metalink or google.

This looks like your browser is displaying the PDF source code instead of rendering it.
Most likely your browser is not configured to use the Adobe Reader plugin for .pdf files.

I've a similar problem - I'm using Text2D to create labels for a node-link graph. I've set all the capabilities, etc., and am finally able to change the labels using setString in Text2D. With one slight problem - now I'm getting an error:

Putting Custom Message in Notification Mailer Emails

Dear All,
We have a custom workflow. For have a notification which requires some response from the user. We have Notification Mailer installed. Now client want to send FYI mail in the mailbox in addition to notification in the worklist, if some user has intended to receive mail setting his preference.
As off now the user is receiving mails. But my problem is with the content of the mail. Its currently displaying the actual content of the notification. But my client want some specific below message to display.
"This notification contains secure content which cannot be sent through e-mail. Please access Atlas and read the online version of the notification to see the details."
I had tried to do that using #WF_SECURITY_POLICY attribute, setting its value NO_EMAIL. In that case the message comes is ...
"This notification contains secure content which cannot be sent through e-mail. Please access the online version of the notification to see the details."

When defining your message in the WF Builder, there are two tabs, one for 'Text Body' and one for 'HTML Body'.
The contents of 'Text Body' is used to determine the content of messages that will appear to the user through email messages
when their NOTIFICATION_PREFERENCE is either 'MAILTEXT' or 'MAILATTACH'.
The contents of 'HTML Body' is used to determine the content of messages that will appear to the user through email messages
when their NOTIFICATION_PREFERENCE is 'MAILHTML', it will also be used to display the message body in the notifications page
on the web.
If you want to format your messages for the notifications web page and for the mailer (for users with 'MAILHTML' NOTIFICATION_PREFERENCE)
then you can use '<P>' and '<BR>'.
The '<P>' gives you a new line then a blank line.
The '<BR>' simply gives you a new line.

Urgent !development of notification mail link to CRM activity

Hello experts,
We have a requirement that Portal notification mail link to related CRM activity for approvel and review when be clicked.
We used SONic component and SomProviderConnector connect to CRM . The "document" in CRM workspace inbox had been displayed in Portal notification. Some of the "document" are the approvel mail of CRM activity.
We want that when the notification mail be clicked , it link to related CRM activity.
Does anyone had done this ?

No we do not have add on for service industries. Businesss does not require survey integration. They send a proposition in mail to customer, whic he can accept or reject.
accepted propositions need to be captured as activities in CRM.
When the customer accepts, he sends an inbound mail or calls the call center (here it is in R/3)
Those inbound responses can be captured thru "extended E-mail inbox setings" but that node does not appear in my IMG. Can u suggest how to activate it and the technology supporting this Inbound Email
