Notification of no approvers to SC initiator's inbox (SRM SC)

Hi all!
I've implemented the N-step approval BAdI for WS14500015. For error handling purposes, I would like to notify the SC initiator when no approvers could be isolated, so that he or she is given the opportunity to change accounting information for the cart.
Is it possible to use the built-in notification system for this?

If no approver(s) were found for a particular item (which, at least in my case, will lead to the Java applet stating that there's no "ad-hoc capabilities for the current workflow"), I'd like to notify the person responsible for the cart within the SRM context, allowing him or her to alter the accounting for the items if necessary.
I guess it all boils down to if it is possible to explicitly use the messaging system of the SRM EB. By that I mean the tab under which notifications are put when a cart has been partly rejected, or altered by a manager.
Something in the style of;
"No approvers have been found for your cart <Cart>. Please check accounting information" + link to cart

Dear experts,
The INIT data load of the datasource 0BBP_TD_SC_1 (BW 3.5) from SRM system (4.0) is taking long time.
For extracting one data packet of say approx. 29000 records it is taking 70 minutes.
has any one experienced this ? or is this normal for this datasource ?
Any suggestions for improving the data load performance for this datasource.

Are there any failed records in the PSA ?
What version & SP level have you for:
- SRM Server
- BI_CONT
- SAP_BW
Note 1064721 may be useful depending on your SP levels.
Check the background job of the extraction (BIREQU_....) & see if there are any errors or if time is wasted in a customer enhancement.

Rejection Mail notification, Initiator not receiving

Hi gurus,
the initiator is not receiving mail notification,after managers rejection,who rejected that manager is receiving notification.in send mail task agent as wfinitiator assinged.
i called terminating event for Approve and reject.
in reject outcome i called this send mail task for initiator's notification.but this not going to initiator , who has taken the reject decision that manager is receiving.
where is the problem?

yap,its customized workflow, using same way Organization Object and Expression which has Workflow Initiator in the send mail step.
starting with Event call and also for approve & rejections callling another events for terminating events
through rejection terminating event not sending to initiator.
I need to send Initiator's SAP INBOX only..no need to send their Emails(external inbox).

Subscriptions and Notifications on replies in Discussions

Hi,
I´m having the problem that I only getting notifications on subscribed discussions for the initial posts Folder: abc/def/....). As replies are stored in another folder (at least in our installation collaboration/discussions) and the are referenced by the initial post/topic the subscription does not seem to crawl this.
I´m urgently looking for help. Has anyone made equal experiences? Does the anouncement concerning patch 30 KMC ( we´re on EP 6.0 SP 2 Patch 29) solve this?

Creation of maintenance order from notification

Hi experts,
Is there any standard settings available by which I can block to create maintenance order from a notification until & unless it's system status is "NOPR"?i.e when the system status of notification is OSNO ,system should not allow to create maintenance order.
Also in notification front page under TAB 10\TAB01(Notification1), I want to populate activites under screen area 015(item+cause) like object part,damage, cause code as my users do not want to enter the activities under tab 10\Tab12(Activities) due to the complexity it containes.

Hi Rajib,
First one:
Create a user status profile for the notification . In the initial status make it forbidden for the create of order. So as soon as you create the notification system will set to the initial status and will make it forbidden to create order at OSNO.
You have to assign this status profile to the notification type you want to do. Further you can make status profile in auhtorization control also.
refer the config path: Maintenance and Service Processing ->>Notification Processing>>User Status for Notifications>>Define Status Profile.
Second one:
In the config path
Maintenance and Service Processing>>Maintenance and Service Notifications>>Overview of Notification Type
select the notification type you want to include the activity code in the header data. click on Screen Structure for Extended View >> selec the 10\TAB01 add the 045 in the screen area , most possible it will be at 10\TAB01

Workflow notification in Inbox

Hi,
The CQ environment is a shared environment where multiple applications are hosted.
Our application uses a customized workflow where all the steps except the last one are OOTB. The last step is implemented in our application as a process step.
When the workflow is initiated on a payload, what we observe is that a notification starts showing up on the inbox of the group intended.
Now when the member belonging to the group completes the step, the notification does not go away from his/her inbox. All the notifications stay in the Inbox until the last step is completed.
This is confusing the content authors, reviewers and publishers. We are not able to find out the exact reason for this behavior.
The issue occurs only in one environment, whereas the issue is not reproducible in other CQ environments.
Could anyone help us in diagnosing the issue? Help is very much appreciated.

There are only 2 suspect I can think off either
* Workflow model participant is different between instance. nor
* Group mapping is different between 2 envirnoments. Probabily Group mapping is not consistent between envirnoment.
File a daycare & get jcrdiff tool. Between two instances compare /home/ . The difference out might help.

Mail Notification for Approval

Hello,
I want to be able to send e-mail's for notification to the approvers to approve the work item (contract, shopping cart) and to a group of people information mail once the work item (contract, shopping cart) is approved and PO is created and sent to the backend.
What is not clear to me is, do i need to use Alert and Event Management or it is only through the workflow. ( We have implemented n-step approval BADI for contract and SC) ?

Gaia,
There are two approaches.
You can schedule std. report RSWUWFMLEC to run at regular intervals. This report sends an email to the mail client of employees who have specified that their work items are to be forwarded there. The report creates an email for each work item that can be processed. (Program RSWUWFMLEC is used to send the email data to EBP. Then program RSCONN01 is used to send the email to external mail servers.)
OR you can add the send mail step in your n-step approval BADI. You have to format the text on your own using the data available in BUS2121.

IMG-->QM>Quality notifications->Notification Creation->Define Screen Templates--> Define Initial Screens--> select F3 here and enter QM03_CREATE_QMEL_WITH_WINDOW in the column Name of the function module and enter 0100 in the initial screen column., save it.
If you wish to make material document field mandatory, then go to
IMG-->QM>Quality notifications->Notification Creation->Define Screen Templates--> Field Selection: Initial Screens--> select the radio button as REQ for the field RQM01-MBLNR that is for material doc.
Similarly for in the above menu you can make mandatory for reference object screen also
IMG-->QM>Quality notifications->Notification Creation->Define Screen Templates--> Field Selection: Reference Object Screens--> select the radio button as REQ for the field RQM01-MBLNR that is for material doc.
Now, once you finish this , go and try QM01 you will find the POP for Material document entry coming immediately if you pres the Notification button for F3 Notification type.

QM01 - Add Production Order field to Create Quality Notification

Hi all SDNers,
I have searched and found many threads related to my question BUT I'm new to this and I don't know how to implement in detail.
Would you please guide me step by step adding a field into a standard TCode?
My requirement is to add the Production Order field (VIQMEL-FERTAUFNR) to the Create Quality Notification (QM01) Tcode under the 1st screen in Reference Documents section of the Reference Objects tab.
The program is SAPMQM00 and screen number is 3011.

Hi all,
I used the screen number 0140 in program SAPLQM03 as the initial screen before creating Notification type Q2.
Use SPRO:
Quality Management --> Quality Notifications --> Notification Creation --> Notification Type
--> Define Screen Templates --> Define Initial Screens
Then use Function Module QM03_CREATE_QMEL_WITH_WINDOW and screen 0140 above to configure.

Prime Infrastructure 2.0 Job Approval notifications?

I have a question about notification for job approvers in Prime 2.0. I'm trying to setup PI such that a restricted user can create a configuration change on a wireless controller and submit it for approval by the PI admin.
The PI admin will likely not be logging in every day to check job approval status. I can't see anywhere that notifies the admin via email that a job is waiting. can this be done or am I missing something?

I don't think we have an email optiom to notify the ADMIN to approve the pending jobs ,however if you authorized any job then ONLY admin can approve to run the job.

Apporval notification mails to users in obiee 10g

Hi all,
I have a report displaying the list of workflows that need to be approved. Is there a possibility to send out the reminder mails/notifications to the approvers individually to remind them about the pending workflows from OBIEE?
We are using OBIEE 10g.. Please let me know if this is possible....

Generally we see a little phase in Act As, default value is 200 and
Make sure you have not crossed the number used at tag MaxValues.
Work around is adding target user on adhoc basis.

SOA Email notifications

Hi,
I'm trying to send e-mail notifications using SOA, and so far have been able to successfully send them. However, i'm observing a very strange behaviour.
For sending the notifications, I'm editing the content (body) of the notification to be sent to Assignee / Initiator / Owner etc. But whenever i see the notification, the content is not what i'm wanting to be sent.
Instead it says *"Task XXXX requires your attention. Access this task in the Worklist Application"*.
Also, to make it clear, following are the parameters that i've set inside my SOA composite:
Inside General Tab:
Task Status: Assign
Recipient: Assignees
Notification Header: Task <%/task:task/task:title%> is pending for your action. Kindly log into the system and take necessary action.
Inside Advanced Tab:
1. Make notifications secure (exclude details): Checked
2. Show worklist/workspace URL in notifications: Unchecked
3. Group notification configuration: Send individual emails (Use seperate task forms based on locale : Unchecked)
As per my understanding, The content written under *"Notification Header"* is supposed to be displayed when the notification is sent, but in my case, a default message as mentioned above is displayed.
Any help would be grateful.

Dear Friends
Presently i am tring to initialize setup tables for Entire QM module.
I activated all the data sources in RSA5 & LBWE
I initilaized "Setup BW Structures for Quality Management" for all (Notifications(Q0), Inspection Lot(QV), Inspection Results(QE)) using transaction code OLIQBW.
Except Notifications(Q0), the remaining Two succesfully initialized with data when checking with RSA3.
I Know,for Notifications setup will initialized using tables QMEL, QMFE, QMMA, QMUR, QMSM
But when i seen in SE11,QMEL alone had lots of data and QMFE had only two data and QMUR had only one data.
The other tables (QMMA, QMSM) doesnot have any data.
I am little bit confused, Whether this is the reasion for setup doesnot have any data.
Can anybody throw some lights to me...

The reconstruction for notifications (quality/maintenance/service notifications) does not return any data for the BW extraction or in the relevant QMIS info structures. However, the relevant notifications do exist in the system.
Other terms
2LIS_05_Q0NOTIF, 2LIS_17_I0NOTIF, 2LIS_18_I0NOTIF, MC05Q00NTF, MC17I00NTF, MC18I00NTF, OLIQBW, OLIIBW, OLISBW, reconstruction, RMCQNEBW, RMCINEBW, RMCSNEBW.
Reason and Prerequisites
When you used transaction SPRO to create notification types, no update group was defined for updating the statistics. The STAFO field in the TQ80 table is empty. This means 'no update' for LIS and BW.
Solution
Use the Customizing of the notification type to create the relevant update group: Transaction SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG -> ... -> Notifications -> Notification Creation -> Notification Type -> Define Notification Type

When a Shopping Cart is approved, a notification is coming to the requestor (initiator) inbox.
The text of that notification is the following:

Hello Matias,
In standard worflow WS40000014, look for standard task to send mail to workflow initiator using SWDD transaction.
I don't know task number for SRM 7.0.
Maybe you will have to go through sub-workflow to find the task.
When you found it, in 'Description' tab you can change standard SAP text used in notification according to your need.

SRM PO Rejection Notification

Hello Experts,
I am using the N-step BADI for PO approval. When a PO is rejected, I have the config turned on so that the initiator of the workflow receives a notification. This notification is created and goes to his SAP inbox, but what I really want is for an email to be sent to his external email. What am I missing or doing wrong?

Check in SO16 transaction that notification are sent to home user mail (tab "sys. group").
It should solve your problem.
