Notification on settings badge

I updated my iphone 6 today and there is a "1" on my settings badge and this was after I completely updated to 8.1. I checked everywhere and cant seem to find where its coming from? Anyone else get this?

Have you reset your phone?
Hold the home button + the lock button for about 10-12 seconds until the Apple logo appears.  You will not lose any data or current settings.

That you have a beta copy of iOS or an iPad tied to a corporate account and the beta or corporate credentials are expiring soon.

My phone has the same thing.  I did the same as you...wiped the phone completely out and restored and it came back. Hopefully someone will figure it out.

  • Settings Badge notification

i have an iPad air. Since the iOS 8 update, I have a badge notification on my settings and cannot get rid of it. I have gone through all the settings, restored from iCloud, restored the iPad from iTunes, turned off iCloud drive, and have turned off and on iCloud alltogether. Still cannot get rid of the badge notification. In addition, I don't have the option for the iCloud Photo Library (even though it's beta) in my settings.
any suggestions Other than taking it to the Apple Store?

    The issue isn't solved yet.

  • Clear badge notification from Settings App

So I recetnly installed the iOS 6.0 update on my iPhone 4, problem is the badge notification (big red "1") is still showing up on my "Settings" app/icon. How do I clear it, because it is soooo annoying?!?!
    Thanks

I am VERY cautious about software updates and have therefore not updated any of my devices. I might, and I stress, might update the 4S to get Do-not-disturb, but most likely only when .01 or .1 comes out. The iPad will most propably stay on 5.1.1 as there are no real benefits for it in iOS6 over iOS5 (for the functions I use). I believe that if something is working properbly, why rock the boat?
As mentioned I gave the iPhone 4 to my parents. They are both in their 70's and only use it to make calls and send SMS messages. iOS6 will have no benefit for them and I'm not risking a 4 in perfect working order with a software upate that can cause WiFi issues, FaceTime issues and the usual battery drain. The 4 is working perfectly for them. No need to take the risk.
    Hope this helps.

  • Turn off iOS update notification on Settings?

I have an iPhone 4S and don't plan on updating to iOS 8. I noticed today the Settings app has a "1" notification badge on it. It's of course reminding me of the iOS update. Any way of turning this notification off? It's not big deal, but it'll bug me especially when I've no indention of updating. Hmm, I suppose it'll pop up on my iPad 2 also. What the hey… Thanks.

However, you can delete them but leave them on the computer. I've done that with quite a few. That way, you can get them back easily.

  • How to remove OTA Settings badge after delete of IOS 8.0.1 software update from storage

Running iOS 8 I had downloaded and not installed IOS 8.0.1 software update.  A "1" Badge appears as expected on my Settings icon.  I then removed the software from storage.  Settings->General->Usage->Manage Storage but the badge was not removed.  Things I have already tried that did not work:
    - Checked for software update
    - Rebooted phone

So with the release 8.0.2 the badge went away once I updated.
I did however download, watching it until it completed.  Then chose "LATER" before the timer ran out.
Then went back to install it.  I am not sure if forcing later is needed, but I wanted to make sure it would force it to update the badge to "1" once I went to install it.  If someone else who has the problem tries it without choosing "LATER" please update the thread for others to let them know if it was needed.

  • Settings Badge Still Appearing on Latest Version

I had updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 6.1 awhile back but it has been ticking me off that there is still a badge marked with "1" on the Settings app. Is there a way to get rid of it? I mean I AM on the latest version. So I can't update to fix it.

7.7 GB sounds good to me.
Here's an article that addresses your situation.  Hopefully one of the first two solutions they suggest will solve your issue.  I sure hope this helps you!

  • Extended Notification; General Settings SAPLOGON_ID

    Hi Everyone!
We are planning to administer the extended notifications just by using the view cluster.  We want to define the SAP GUI for Windows as the SAP GUI to use to display or execute work items in the Subscription Settings view.
The SAP Library says that <b>'you should specify a cross-company, unique LOGON_ID for the parameter SAPLOGON_ID in the General Settings view: Otherwise the system displays a logon window when the user navigates from a message to an SAP System'</b>.
I think this is my error. I really don't know what to put in SAPLOGON_ID parameter. How will I get this unique ID.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Reymar

    Hi Reymar / Vhong,
You can check what the default client is by just starting SAP. A client is predefined. If you need to change it before logon then you could ask basis to set the correct one. I think it is a system parameter, but they should know.
I couldn't say if you could set anything in the extended notification, because I am not that familiar with it, but I would expect it sets the client it is run from in the short-cut. If not it could be bug and you should check OSS.
    Regards,
    Martin

  • One notification on Settings after updating to iOS8?

Hey guys, I'm having a sort of weird issue with iOS8. After updating, my Settings icon had a notification, and I can't figure out what it's for. I've poked around in the settings and can't see anything that would have triggered the notification. I've restarted my phone and it's still there. It's probably some easy solution, but can anyone help me out?

    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset.

  • Notification Center settings forgotten

    Hi all,
In OS X 10.9 I had removed several applications from Notification Center, because, quite frankly, why should I be bugged with a banner that says someone has posted someone on Facebook (just to give one example). Most of the time, it's annoying.
Migrated to OS X 10.10 this morning to find that my previous settings had not been recovered. Yes, the annoying Facebook notification banners were back again. So I went to the System Preferences, Notification Center and set the settings back to how they were: for several applications, I do not want to be bothered with notification banners.
This seemed to work fine, until I rebooted my computer. All the notifications that I had switched off, were back. Tried it several times, and they just keep on coming back.
Looks like a bug to me, but perhaps there is some file hidden away somewhere that I need to delete for this to

  • Where are VIP notification tone settings in IOS 7?

It's always been difficult to remember where to set notification alerts for VIPs, but Apple seems to have buried it deeper in IOS 7. I simply can't find where to set the VIP email sound.

Found it. Go to Mail > Mailboxes > VIP > click on the circle i > VIP Alerts. That then takes you to Settings > Notification Center > Include > Mail > VIP. I guess you can skip the first part and go directly to Settings. At least it's obvious

  • Any way to remove settings badge after iOs5 upgrade?

I've searched discussions of the same problem and found matching concerns with ipad users. Turns out if you update to ios5 on air, the system leaves the badge for settings and it's stucked even after restoring, resetting the device. Does anyone know a fix to this problem aside from suggesting jailbrake and getting clear-badge apps?

You can enable the SkypeUI (Set-CsClientPolicy -Identity Global -EnableSkypeUI $true) with the backend still being Lync Server 2013 to get the new client look and feeling.
The Skype for Business 2015 RTM Server bits should be out in May, but the current new functionality can be taken from:

Can I just enable it for individual users for testing?  I tried doing a get-csclientpolicy and replacing -identity global with -identity <user ID> but it said it didn't exist since it seems it's looking for policies.  Not sure if there's
some other way to do that.
Do I need to setup a new policy and just add certain people to it or is there any other way to do that for specific users?
    Thanks!
